The first part is gender neutral, but the second part does specify 'him'.

The judge had said Mr Work and Ms Gray had been 'two strong and equal partners' over 20 years and had no assets of note when they met. He didn't have that fortune when they got married.

Essentially because they had very little savings. The wife walked away with roughly half a million pounds, but the husband is walking away with a quarter of a million pounds-per-year. The wife is still getting the short end of the stick because she will never enjoy the same standard of living, while the husband will be laughing all the way to the bank a few paychecks later.

So a woman is supposed to give up nine months and go through a life threatening process just so some person they slept with can have a child? It is not fair for a woman to deny a man nine months use of her body? The man has absolutely no right to the woman's reproductive capabilities, whatsoever. If the child is born (which is and should be entirely up to the woman) then his rights as a parent to the child begin, not before.
