Had one when my kid was under 1, best thing I did. Couldn’t get hit with that “I want another kid” BS, and post-divorce it’s the best thing I ever did. 5/5⭐️highly recommend.

I was over it a year before she asked for the divorce. It ran its course. I changed my place into what I wanted the day she moved out and I felt freedom and relief during the separation. I could be me, do my own thing, have the neat house I wanted, and not be subject to “you really need to…” on a daily basis or all these bullshit ass “events” and shit with people I didn’t give the first fuck about. I started dating 6 months after the divorce. I was nervous at first but it was fine; a year later …

“They want me to…” nobody should give a fuck with you stbx or their lawyer want. The only thing you should give a fuck about is what the judge says and what your lawyer advises you to do

Just hit her with the 👍 or “ok” and move on; ignore her rant.

The insight was that you should have not sent her your writing if it was “begrudgingly”.

So, just ignore her. Once the ink dried on the divorce, what you do is no longer her concern and how she feels about what you do is no longer your concern. The best skill I ever learned is how to shrug, walk away, and give zero fucks simultaneously.

She doesn’t make that decision, the court does. Imo, even a law school D student could get that bullshit slapped down with ease

This has nothing to do with women who don’t have kids or not. This has to do with you dating shitty people who are unreasonable. Imo, Make it known that your kid comes first and that your kid is your primary responsibility the other person either accepts that or moves along. (Div dad with wonderful childless partner)

God no. That’s a recipe for catastrophic disaster. Zero good things can come of that, IMO.

I have a reputation for being a douche, so those assholes don’t come within 10 feet of me.

You don’t, it’s not your business or your concern. Just get out there and do you own dating.

I didn’t lose anything. And honestly, the 50/50 split of kid time is a nice happy medium that gives me time to have a life. Child support I pay in my own volition the state was only mandating $70/m, so I choose to give $1200 as long as the money is only used on the kid Things I gained: - my own place decorated how I want - freedom to find partners i sexually align with - freedom to do what I want when I want - Im not “busy” with dumb shit on weekends anymore - I’m not having “talks” about some d…

My exw takes the kid to grandmas in a different state which I’m not mad at and my partner visits their family, so it’s just me. I purposely don’t drink during the ~3 weeks because I don’t like the way the alcohol makes me feel during this time, but I also make the most out of it; I took 2 weeks off from work, am binging trash tv, going on long hikes, doing a museum crawl, , doing cooking projects and otherwise enjoying myself and taking my kind off it.

I got a lawyer — got 50/50 custody, equal parenting rights, and if she moves more than 20 miles she has to give me 3 months advanced notice so I can have an opportunity to dispute it with family court. I’m the bio dad, you can’t force me out of my kid’s life, and if you try, I’ll go through the courts to fight for my rights as a lm equal parent. I pick up my kid from school nearly everyday, and we split 50% of each week.

We kept all our assets completely separate, only thing we had was a single investment account that we split in half. She made. Ore than me, I told her you leave my $$ alone I’ll leave yours alone (I have no desire for her money). I pay heavy child support by choice with the stipulation it’s only used for him, and have 50/50 custody of kid. Yes, she irritates me, but I don’t make that known for our kids sake. If we didn’t have a kid I would never have spoken to her again, there would be no need t…

My house is neat and orderly. It’s decorated the way I want. I’m not being complained at for “not listening”, being lazy, not doing X, forgetting to do Y. Don’t have to have to sit down for this fking talk, or that fking talk, or some other fking talk. I don’t have to think about “growing a family” when I made it clear I never want kids (got snipped after my first kid 😌), don’t have to think about buying a house or think about what is going to be won in a divorce. I am at peace, I can do what I …

Go on dating apps, make non-douchy profile with decent pics, meet people and Don’t talk bad about your ex when you meet someone. I went from divorced to dating in about 6 months once I took the first step to get on Bumble. Another good place to find a partner looking for similar whether it’s ONS, FWB, or LTR where you can be open about what you’re looking for is Reddit’s R4Rs for your area, tbh, ive been in an LTR with someone I met in an R4R and it is far more successful of a relationship emoti…
