Sounds like you're processing, and that is totally normal...process away, brother. A wise man once told me that we are all uncertain about what we are doing here. The sooner we realize this, the better we are.

Of course, you feel all messed up, but are you really? What's messed up? It sounds like you did really well - put yourself out there, formed the beginnings of a connection, identified something that wasn't aligned, and moved in line with your desires, right? Maybe you even recognized a familiar path and chose not to venture down it. It's a gift to know yourself well enough to recognize where you lost attraction and understand why that is - we are all on our own journey, so no judgment to her or …

That must have felt so good to see the kids after six months. Im really happy for you. It sounds like you should be angry and sad about that, brother. I hear a lot of growth for you coming from this experience. During my journey, I felt denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Have you felt any of these other feelings?

Two years that sounds like a nightmare, brother. It is inspiring to hear how you are crushing it with working out, skipping the booze, and rebuilding. I am working on a lot of the same. And yoga has been quite life-changing for me. For another guy going through it, has dragging your name in the mud been the most challenging thing about the process?

Thank you for sharing, brother. What a motivating post. It sounds like you are making big moves here—having fun with your son, living week by week instead of day by day, focusing on yourself by working out, limiting the off-the-wagon time, and prioritizing mental health. Could you share some wisdom with us by looking back on the last six months. What do you wish you knew then that you know now? Keep up the outstanding work!

Keep kicking, brother. By the way, are there any positives to the process?

That may be because once, it was all "our" story. What you and probebeta are feeling at the moment is real, brother. I acknowledge and support your journeys. But the journey is long. No one said it was easy; if it was, it would not be worth it. "Every man has two lives, and the second starts when he realizes he has just one"

This sounds tough, brother. Way to be open and share about the experience. That is 100% right about it being a marathon and not a race. You may look back at this one day and find that this moment was more helpful than can been seen right now. Better days are ahead!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
