Age. Women’s window of opportunity is fairly short. A man’s choices rise steadily and become extensive as he nears middle age, if he has anything at all going for himself.

Depends on what you mean by market decline. If you are a man who wants to date women around your own age bracket, or a few years younger, then the dating market continuously gets better as you age. Bear in mind that the women will have kids, exes, and other features that occur as people get older. Guys who look decent and have their stuff together become increasingly rare, so it’s easier to stand out.

Male commitment is actually a libido killer for women. In her mind at a subconscious level, the fact that he committed to her means she’s the best he can do. The guy who won’t commit to her is perceived as being in a higher realm. Therefore he is sexy.

Where are these women who make men wait? I don’t see women making men wait for weeks or months, regardless of the type of relationship. Maybe that happens when people are like 19 years old. But for most of the dating market nowadays, things move really quickly.

Varies a lot by location. In the US it’s state by state. Splitting assets 50/50, including retirement, is not unfair even if some men feel it is. Some states start with a presumption of 50/50 child custody and some don’t. Family courts in many states probably do suffer from a “women are wonderful” fallacy. But the biggest reason that men feel things are unfair is that they usually earn more. The higher earner will often feel hard-done. Some states do indeed have ridiculous child support formulas…

I can’t answer the question. But I can say that when you see women in action during their ho phase(s), it’s astounding. It’s like they get into a whole other mental state and are more reckless than anyone would believe. And like OP said, it can be very well-educated people with professional jobs.

Experienced players quickly learn that one of the best markers of a girl down for a ONS is the “no ONS” comment in the bio. Some women put it there for plausible deniability in case random members of the community come across her bio.

I think they believe that you’ll like the sex and stick with them for a relationship. They fail to understand that men don’t think like women. They have one major weapon, and they deploy it. They aren’t sure what else to do in order to get what they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/22 05:52 PM

But is any of that really casual sex? I’m almost your age, and what I find is, yes, the women will have sex very early. But “casual“ is not their intent. They are hoping to use sex to snag you into a relationship. I tend to pass, because I don’t like disappointing people.

This is nothing to do with women specifically. Men behave in the exact same way. The modern dating world is very inefficient — there’s a high signal to noise ratio. The behavior you describe is what happens when somebody feels they have a lot of options and they’re not convinced you’re the best one. Maybe women are the main perpetrators of this behavior in the under-28 age group or so. Beyond that, it’s usually the men being flaky.

The heart of this question I think is: what would it be like to be chased by women? You can find out in a couple of ways. One, go to a country where people of your nationality have higher sexual market value. You’ll get on Tinder and find that you have tons of matches and they initiate the conversations. Or two, just wait until you hit your 40s. The market shifts at that point, possibly earlier. Men become more of a commodity. In my experience, it all boils down to the same thing: women want hoo…

Some of your premises are wrong. Muslims do have sex before marriage. Ask any player who has been to a place like Indonesia. You can find many Muslim girls who will come straight over from Tinder and fuck you while wearing a hijab. It just has to be discreet. Then they go marry faithful Muslim men who think they’re virgins.

Delusional. What evidence do you have that “most“ STIs are among the groups you mentioned? STIs are extremely common even among educated people on their 30s and 50s. By age 49, among unmarried women the rate of HSV-2 is 55%. And that doesn’t even account for genital HSV-1. Even among Redditors, I doubt the rate of condom usage and STI testing is very high. It’s a vocal minority who like to virtue signal.

In the Land of Reddit, everyone supposedly “ALWAYS uses condoms” and “gets tested regularly.” In the real world, from what I see, it’s exactly as you said. Rawdog all the way, not a care in the world. Women hate condoms.

I question the “predatory“ thing. Young women hold enormous power in the sexual marketplace. Older men don’t. When a younger woman and an older man get together, he might have certain advantages such as money and life experience. But at the end of the day, she knows that she could easily replace him. He cannot replace her so easily. She might well be calling the shots.

Many people assume that older single men are gay. There is still a lot of suspicion or disdain for gay people. At minimum, straight families may not feel much in common with them. If the guy is a bachelor who dates, travels, etc., then families may see him as a threat. Wives don’t want their husbands hanging out with that kind of guy. Husbands certainly don’t want their wives hanging out with him. If he is straight but just awkward or socially inept, then people probably treat him weird because …

Humans, including female humans, don’t always understand why they feel compelled to take an action. The drives may occur at a subconscious level. Evolution dupes us into all sorts of behaviors. At a basic level, clearly the endgame is to make themselves more reproductively successful. In other words, to attract the attention of the best possible males. Women may say “I’m doing it for me“ and believe it. It doesn’t really matter. Her loins call out for hot-guy DNA.

I didn’t mean you. Just talking in general, because I see this come up a lot. This situation you’re describing is not one I’ve seen personally, although I don’t dispute that it happens. Generally in my experience if a woman is willing to have a sex with a guy, she’s willing to have a relationship. One exception is middle-aged women letting young guys, in their 20s, come over for uncommitted sex. I think they like the validation.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/22 01:41 AM
1

More or less. This seems so obvious to me. I’m amazed that PPD women seem so perplexed by the fact that most men are repulsed by this. I don’t know if it is willful ignorance or honest ignorance or they just don’t like the answer. To be fair, men are very hypocritical. We push women to be promiscuous when it suits our desires.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/22 01:28 AM

If I’m going to consider investing my time, energy, attention, and commitment into a woman, one of the things I get in return is sexual access. If some other dude came along and didn’t invest anything, but he too got sexual access, then I feel like a chump. If she’s throwing it around “free,” why am I paying full price? 50 Cent captured the idea in his 2003 song “Patiently Waiting.” “Your bitch a regular bitch, you callin her wifey. I fucked and feed her fast food, you keepin' her icy.”

I don't think it's about sowing wild oats. I think men need to be with quite a few women -- maybe 20 to 30 -- in order to really understand what they are all about. Their motivations, their patterns, and most of all, their not-so-nice side. Nature built women with a very attractive veneer and some rather irresistible features. They've also had a great marketing campaign for many centuries. It's only with plenty of experience that you can see the full picture. So I would not recommend that a guy …

Two points: -Women are not wired to be satisfied or even "happy." This built-in restlessness is healthy for the species but is kind of unfortunate for women, and their men. -Your quote: "His bar is different and his partner set it." Why did his partner set it? People in general are as picky as they can afford to be. If, as a man, you ever find yourself in a position where the the scales are turned around -- such as by gaining some level of celebrity or status, or relocating to a country where your looks/background/national origin give you a marked advantage -- you'll find that you become much pickier. It's called Golden Penis Syndrome -- look it up, it's a thing. The fact that most guys aren't picky is because they can't afford to be.

Women want the best. How does their brain determine what the best is? One important way is by taking note of what other women want. Which guy is popular? He must be the best. When a guy is the best, what does he do? He plays the field. His commitment is hard to procure. When a guy commits fully, it can suggest that he has no other options, or at least not good ones. Guys without much access to sex are eager to find a steady girlfriend and commit to her. Finally, consistent sex! As such, a fully …

I want to add, though, that I agree with this comment that you made: This is basically the situation that a guy needs to be in if what he wants is a long-term relationship. The whole female selection hypothesis is wildly exaggerated for humans. If there is a species-wide effect at all, it is mild. Demographics are a far more important factor in influencing mate selection, in my opinion. Where there's an excess of men, women get very choosy and behave poorly. And vice versa. Men have plenty of agency -- in the right circumstances. The conditions of modern Western countries are, for most men, not those circumstances.

It's a hypothesis based on a common-sense reading of the facts. Even researchers are allowed to do that, believe it or not. You can look at this from a different lens. At some level, the women are happier fucking a series of fuckboys versus settling down with an average chump. They don't truly expect commitment from the fuckboys. Of course, they don't admit any of this, even perhaps to themselves. For a male at the top of the dating heap, the women hardly screen at all and they are willing to sleep with the guy almost right away. So it's hard to believe that the women are being tricked into anything.

In actual practice in the U.S., it is nonsense. Men are VERY happy to date a 29-year-old woman. Men are actually very happy to get any match on online dating or any interest from a woman of any sort. The stuff about the wall is armchair sociology. In real life, men are desperate for women.

Change locations. Go to a place (probably another country) where your SMV is higher because of of your nationality or other characteristics. Everyone will say "the women just want your money!" or "they want a green card!" but that's not always true. It does not have to be a poor country, just one where you look different from the local population and where your look is valued. Sometimes they are attracted by things about your appearance and demeanor, qualities that may be scarce in their own pop…

and still take you for half your stuff, regardless of what she brought to the relationship. That's just not true. You split marital assets -- things you accumulated during the marriage -- on a 50/50 basis. You and she will have the sole rights to the assets you had before marriage. There are some things that are unfair about divorce laws, but this is not one of them. If two people link up their lives in this way, then it's only fair that they divide marital assets 50/50 upon divorce.

"Loser" is just a word to degrade or diminish someone. It means what you decide it means -- whatever qualities the speaker decides merit degradation or diminution. To me a loser is someone with a track record of problems caused by arrogance, lack of self-awareness, or compulsions. I tend to put potheads, chronic thieves, and sex offenders into this category.

I am talking about objective physical attractiveness Doesn't exist and wouldn't matter if it did. We operate in a market, and the market is governed by supply and demand. If every man on the market were "objectively" gorgeous, then those great looks would not have much value. It would be like saying his blood is really red or he has a perfect number of toes. Standard issue. Currently, Western women simply don't "need" men in the way they did in generations gone by. Therefore the demand for men i…

They're very sensitive to social hierarchies in general -- where they stand, where everyone else stands, what factors are important to the rankings, etc. The marketplace concept is intuitive to them. Men can be pretty dull about this stuff.

The average woman is more red-pilled than the most red-pilled of men. A core feature of RP thought is that male-female relations are a marketplace -- a brutal one -- and that you have to be somewhat ruthless to function effectively. An average 16-year-old girl feels that in her bones. Many men go to the grave never having grasped it.

To some extent, having legalized prostitution achieves the same end. It should theoretically keep "abusive, entitled girls" in check. Which is probably why many women and blue pill men oppose legalization of prostitution. I'd be curious to know how this all plays out in real life in places where prostitution is legal (or at least tolerated) and common.

Masculine is just a word, and it means what we as humans agree that it means. There is always room for different takes on it. I don't care what the Asian internet says. Nothing can make Will Smith not be a cuck. Coming unhinged in public and then giving a tearful speech where you claim to be a "vessel for love" does not make you alpha. Being in control of yourself is masculine.

Therefore, because you as a man went to such lengths and ACTIVELY pursued sex outside of your relationship, it says a lot more about your interest in the relationship than someone who has sex available to them at all times and decides to accepts the offer. As a man, you're aware that she has a constant stream of opportunities (they're always there, even if not stated directly). If she shows even a hint of not being able/willing to shut down all offers, then she is not worth much to you.

Interesting how some find that getting bulked was helpful and others didn't. I would say that height factors into this equation in a big way. (Facial looks do too, to some extent.) When you're taller, you can get away with a lot more in terms of body type. You can be skinny or a bit overweight and still get some interest from women. Being tall and not obese might be enough to "get you into the game." At the same time, being built could potentially have outsized benefits. If you're shorter, you c…

Can't agree with this. I'd say that the fundamentals of marriage come down to what is in writing in the marriage contract, state marriage law and what is enforced by the courts. Just depends on how you are defining "fundamentals" and how you want to frame the debate. And I was asking myself, "What has caused this to be a fairly enduring aspect of human civilization of the past …

Considering all this, and that the courts have a “cash out”-button disguised as divorce available for women to press at the whim of an emotion’s whim’s whim, and it becomes abundantly clear why a woman would get married. This is somewhat exaggerated. Most divorces are resolved with a settlement between the parties, not a court order. The party who earned more, and with a lesser share of custody, will tend to feel cheated. Anyway. At a fundamental level, marriage (theoretically) provides a man wi…

Here's the thing. Beards can do a lot of the same function for guys. It used to be that beards were a very niche thing -- they were polarizing such that by having one, you were ruling out the majority of women, while strongly appealing to a niche market. RP misses one thing: Men get older too. The men who created RP were around ages 18 to 30, so women over 30 seemed "out of the question" to them. But when you're 45 to 50 as a man, the 45-year-old woman might just look pretty good. And if you're 60, she'll look like Christmas morning. There's no wall, except from the perspective of a young guy.

Most everything about dating is written from a young person's perspective. In real life, as you age, things change dramatically. I believe that women are wired to become dissatisfied with their partner over time. Women are, for the most part, serial monogamists. (Humans are behaviorally flexible, so there are exceptions in some cultures.) In prehistoric times, it did not benefit a woman or her children to be loyal to a man as he became sick, old, or injured. She might nurse him back to health for a while, but if it goes on too long, forget it. Plus, many times her partner would die in a hunting accident or warfare, so it …

I don't think the roots of the issue are at the individual level. It's a population dynamic. Historically a lot of men died off due to hunting accidents and warfare. So there was a surplus of females compared to males. The surviving males have a pretty good time in those circumstances. In the modern era, males don't die off in such high numbers. But women still only want the cream of the crop. So a lot of males are left out of the reproductive pool.

This is hard to pin down. Women who already have defective love circuitry will tend to sleep around. It seems likely that "sleeping around" and "fried love circuitry" don't have a cause-effect relationship. Rather, they have a common underlying cause: childhood trauma.

It's all kind of nonsensical. It's a question of value -- but value to whom? You can't directly compare women to men, because the target audiences are (mostly) different. The important, and overlooked, factor is supply and demand. In a given group of people, are there more women or men? That will tell you a lot about who has to chase whom, and how high the standards will be.

BPD is a construct of a certain time and place -- mostly Western countries in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Women showing their bodies and using sexual behaviors in exchange for money and resources existed long before the first case of BPD was diagnosed. I'm pretty sure these behaviors were entrenched even in earlier hominid species, before we were Homo sapiens. Even if you could somehow cure all cases of BPD, I think OnlyFans would be alive and well. It just capitalizes on tendencies …

Muscles and weight are factors within the broader category of looks. Other factors are height, facial structure, teeth, hair, race, etc. All of the factors interact with each other and balance each other. The more factors you have going in your favor, the better. That said, muscles are not necessarily the most important of these. In fact, they may be among the least important.

Notice I didn't say that men are any better. The difference is that the word is already out about men. Everyone already knows (believes) that they're dogs. Women, on the oth…

The term "low value" only has meaning when given context. Value is in the eye of the beholder. If we're talking about SMV or RMV, then I don't need to tell you the traits that work against "value" in a general sense. Beyond that, we're mostly talking about preferences. I might value something that you don't, and vice versa.

If you're the kind of guy whom women want to marry, then I'd say it's not worth getting married. Marriage made more sense in earlier periods of history when it had additional functions as a way to cement family and community bonds and to produce children who were not just "nice to have, maybe" but were absolutely expected and needed.

When was this in question? All through human history, and even in earlier species, sex has been traded for provisioning and security. Over the past few decades, for the first time in our species' history, women don't have to rely on men for survival. It's no surprise that marriage rates are falling. Women are finding that it isn't necessary.

Women don't want men to be able to have sex with a 10/10 giga-Stacy whenever he wants. There's another element that I believe is much more important than this. As long as women control access to sex, they hold the cards. This is true in general and it's particularly true in a monogamous relationship. Will must do as they're told, or they won't be provided sex. If a married couple have an argument, the unspoken threat is that she can withdraw sex at any time. He'll be "sleeping on the couch." As …

I think I have missed out on more lays than I've gotten. Many times all you need is "don't fuck it up" game. Female attraction is a fickle thing. I don't think the wall concept is necessary to explain this. The dating pool is smaller at 35. And by that point there are slightly fewer men than women, as men have a higher death rate across all ages. That's enough to fundamentally change the market balance.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/21 10:40 PM

Their options don't diminish, but the quality of their options absolutely does. The quality of men in general declines with age. As has been said elsewhere in the thread, most middle-aged men aren't looking so great. The few who do hold it together have a lot of options. But then again, a hot woman in her 40s/50s really stands out among her peers, too.

There's a lot of truth here. But I wouldn't say the wall is the key factor. Women in general can't get what they want, in part because they want self-contradictory things. The female of this species is not really wired for contentment.

Very true.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/21 04:49 PM

I agree with this for the most part. There is one factor that does make dating harder for women as the years go on, and that is death rates. Males have a higher death rate at all ages than females, and that difference adds up over time. In the latter years, we men are thin on the ground.

Women just don’t treat their beta husbands like they treat the men they truly want. I’ve literally heard a woman say “ehh, no, my husband isn’t the love of my life. Not often, but on occasion. When it happens, it's worse than male betabux. While the male betabux will take whatever woman he could get, the female version specifically chooses a man for alpha traits that are incompatible with monogamy. You can't negotiate attraction. And women aren't feeling it so much nowadays. If you're a man, imagine going to someplace full of a type of women who hold zero appeal for you. You can envision your own specifics. Do you feel turned on when you see all those women who don't appeal to you? If someone tells you that you should feel turned on, will that make a difference? This is how a lot of women are experiencing the world today.

I don't entirely disagree, but I think the more important fact is that modern conditions reveal certain aspects of women's psychology. When women don't need men for basic physical survival, then most men suddenly don't look so good. It takes a very rare specimen to stand out. And if you look at, say, life in the 1950s, when a basic factory worker of average looks could land a pretty well-put-together wife. The untold story is that millions upon millions of women were having duty sex with men the…

The women are turning down relationships with men, while at the same time complaining they can't find a man? Women have historically settled for men they weren't sexually attracted to, because that was necessary for survival. Today that's no longer necessary; they can survive fine without men. And that's what they're doing. They don't want "a man." They want a man they're sexually attracted to. Not many men qualify.

In most of human history, women could not live and raise their kids without the support of a man or men. It's not hard to see why women would develop a drive to lock down a man who would devote himself to her cause. In those days, men were dying at a high rate from accidents and warfare. Strong men were scarce, but a weaker man did you little good. Thus the drive to find a top XX% man. Why would a man commit? He wants a steady supply of sex. I saw a smoking hot girl at the grocery store last weekend with a guy who was kind of chubby and very average in the face.

Pretty much right. Keep in mind that women are the way they are for a reason. History and pre-history were not kind to them; they needed a constant supply of resources and protection so that they and their children could survive. As a woman, if your man showed signs of weakness, that weakness could quickly prove fatal to yourself and your offspring. One caveat: None of this means that women of today consistently choose the best or strongest man, or that any group of women ever did. In many cases…

I get the sense that these guys feel that there's a hidden world of sexual connections forged in brief trysts hinted at in polite company but never admitted. There is. and every other woman on here will tout that women hate casual sex and rarely partake in it A decent percentage do partake. but how often are people really honest about their sexual habits? On surveys about sex, women can be counted on to lie, while men are probably fairly honest. This is something that social scientists can't…

But, 36-40 year olds are out there trying to get themselves a beta bux with a vengeance. I always say I could get married within 2 months to an attractive divorcee if I wanted. But, these women just want to be married and have somebody to help support their kids. These provider hunters seem like a really bad deal. They can be tempting because many of them still look quite good. But they are motivated by material concerns, not attraction.

Many times when a female partner is having an affair or is interested in someone, she will try to portray that person as gay or possibly gay. That gives her cover for spending time with him.

I haven't noticed this phenomenon. But yes, wives deplore bachelors, seeing them as a potentially destabilizing influence.

I think you've hit the mark. Women can make their own way now and find men to be somewhat superfluous. The default or fallback option used to be "marry some guy you don't like all that well." Now it's "live on your own, and maybe hit up Tinder every once in a while if the urge strikes."
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/20 10:29 PM

Many possibilities: -The guy hasn't committed to her (most likely scenario, in my mind) -The guy is married (could be cheating or maybe separated or in the middle of a divorce and needs to use discretion) -The guy is a sugar daddy -She wants to keep her options open -Etc.

It's literally just a statement of supply and demand economics. "You're not able to afford the thing you want with the currency you bring to the table. Perhaps you should consider a lower-priced model." And no, women are not happy with it. They hate it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/20 07:24 PM

The premise about women being unable to get commitment is flawed in the first place. Women are the gatekeepers of everything at this point. Have you seen how many simps are running around desperate to get with a woman? Women sometimes have trouble securing commitment from a man they think is worthy. In many cases that's because she has unrealistically high standards given what she brings to the table. (Thank the modern culture, social media, etc.) In other cases, she simply sees no reason to get…

Because having a life partner makes bad days better, good days better, and just overall gives you love and support when you need it the most? In what world? Most relationships are a constant power struggle at some level and do not bring real value to the participants.

They guys you speak of will get a partner when they are a little older and more established. The high-notch-count party girls will retire from the party lifestyle at about age 30 and seek beta providers. These guys fit the bill perfectly. Fifteen years later, the women will have affairs, divorce the men and take all their stuff. At that point the guys will be alone once again. Such is the cycle of life.

I don't think it's that cut-and-dried. Men would like to have sex with an unlimited quantity of young women, sure. But we also really need to feel admired and understood. If you're 45 and she is 21, she might start to view you as an out of touch, bumbling old piece of shit. Unless I'm a Hollywood A-lister, I'm going to assume she will present a lot of the "trouble" you speak of. This isn't a red pill thing to say, but I place value on being with someone who understand my worldview, knows the sam…

Age doesn’t help much but if you are around 30 it will help you snag a “time to settle down” kinda girl who would have previously ignored you. It's amazing how many problems this causes. Guys think it looks like a great deal at first -- regular sex with the kind of woman who used to be out of reach! How wrong they are. The woman who lacks raw passion for you, but feels you're "good enough" as a betabux, is not much of a prize. You will not be able to satisfy her long-term in any sense of the wor…

So are you chalking it up to women being more comfortable living alone? Choosier? Or that they have a harder time finding someone to live with? Maybe men are more likely to throw standards out the window?

Have you not ever been in a Walmart? Unattractive men pair up with women all the time. They pair with obese and unattractive women. They reproduce, too. Where do you think additional unattractive people come from? The problem with incels is they think they deserve better than an unattractive woman. They don't. It's like selling your house -- the value is whatever the market says it is, not what you think you deserve. Women are not the only ones who are super picky. The same incels who complain a…

Women of all ages have almost unlimited options for sex and relationships, although that changes somewhat beyond age 65 when there are fewer men due to shorter male lifespans. The issue is whether they want the men who are available. Usually they don't. Perhaps when they were young they could get a look from top-tier males, but now they have to settle for someone on their own level. Unthinkable. Many women in their 30s, 40s, 50s would rather be alone than date the men who want them. They claim t…
