Getting perspective from the opposite sex is one thing. Never being wrong, always the victim, and not being able to take accountability is another another thing

Yes I wish people would stop thinking like that but thats more of a woman's trait not a man. Not saying its men that dont think like that but mostly women.

You put this together really well.

Cheated on you and had another's man child and your response was to marry her. She told you who she was and you accepted it. I dont understand what the post is about. A cheated lied. What a shocker.

Be wary of people who get into relationships so quickly; 9 months post and she'll already pregnant with another man' baby. On top of the fact that shes was still seeing you (a fact that her new guy probably wouldn't be ok with). So we got a cheating lady who's pregnant 16 months post separation. I wouldn't say shes winning in life but thats just my personal opinion

I just dont see the point of it. Marriage is more cultural than anything. Its ok to go against the norms.

Your only leverage was the price she had to pay you to own the house and you gave that away. Ill never understand that. She paid you 100k for a million dollar house. "I just wanted to be done with it" Not me she screwed me out of everything but the house she wouldnt have gotten away from it

Or people can just not get married. Sorry but people know the risks of getting married.

Paying that 2k rent will come out better in the long run than buying a house while married to someone who doesnt know if she wants you or not

Your heart doesn’t say anything. The heart isn’t involved in any decision making youre brain is so if your brain says no thats the answer.

No, i believe i mentioned that in my post. No law can enforce people to stay committed. If thats the case explain the no fault states and the divorce rate
/r/Divorce_Men06/01/24 01:34 AM

Thats not what the contract says. Whos gonna enforce it? No one. Just like the law cant enforce commitment.

I meant you could have just been in a committed relationship. A marriage doesnt make your love any more official. If youre getting married for benefits i can tell you that the worng reason to get married.

Im not married but i want to ask the ones that are. Why get married when you know theres a possibility you could lose it all or a lot if things dont work out. I know no one thinks theyll be in that situation and their relationship will work out but are the risks really worth it

You asked you found out. Cant handle the info don’t ask. Eventually she was gonna find someone just like you did. I think the problem is that some college student is smashing your ex. Good for the college student, I guess, but for you ex I don’t think it’s gonna end well with him so I’m hope she isn’t looking for anything substantial

I see this a lot on this sub. It seems like a lot of you give up friends and hobbies when you get Married and your whole life becomes your marriage and kids and once she leaves with the kids you guys don’t know what to do. Having a identify outside your marriage and having some hobbies are essential. The best I can tell you is to stay focused and even thought it seems like a lot just take it day by day. It will be great days. It will be good days. It will be ok days. And it will be bad days. Jus…

Well let me ask you a question. Would you rather Have a child with someone who are known to have mood swings and deal with the crap he’s dealing with or live in peace. It’s not my responsibly or yours to keep the population at bay. Being emotional doesn’t necessary make you a moody person.

The fact that he brought it up means it was a problem.

May I ask what made you have kids with someone who has mood swings.

Stole you money and flew somewhere to cheat on you with three people and you took her back. Cheated on you again and had a baby with drug dealer and you were still open to taking her back. My guy you gotta have some self respect. She’s only treating you like a person with no boundaries or self respect because that’s what you have shown her.

Damn rude reply. I’ve never been married I was just curious about other people experiences and so what if this was my life and biggest problem. Are you telling me it should be downplayed because you feel you have bigger problems. Someone woke up hurt today. Probably because it’s Father’s Day and you can’t see your kids. Anyway happy Father’s Day.

What made you marry her even though the sex had pretty much stopped? Sex is a vital part of a healthy relationship not something that should be supplemented

Marrying only a year after dating probably wasn’t a good idea

Some of these posts I don’t understand it’s like some of y’all have a distain for women in general. Nothing about her post is wrong. We all are allowed to have preferences even if they’re outrageous which in her case isn’t. Sure your preferences can be ridiculed if they are outrageous and often they are. Also just because someone is a single mother doesn’t mean they now have to take whatever is thrown their way or they can’t have standards like everyone else. I like this sub but some of you are …

Ok I’ll nick pick something else. Just say mother of (# of kids) and leave out the adjectives. We know you think your kid is adorable, wonderful, cute etc. Also don’t understand why the profile pic has to include the kid. Honestly don’t know why kid pics have to be included at all you’re marketing yourself for dating not taking family portraits. You include that you’re a mother you don’t lead with it. Also. Always notice how most don’t mention their occupation and what makes them valuable as a p…

Were the guy(s) she had kids by special? I would say no since she’s a single parent. I see how all these dating profiles are I’m looking for love and you gotta do all work and be special while I just sit here.
