Its a self feeding cycle of attractiveness, confidence, and social proof. The hardest part is cranking out that first rotation.

Sounds like you didn't read a thing I wrote. Something something validation? vagina? Good day.

Great advice for socializing 101, but not the smp. Spread the love is an admirable philosophy, but one that has not worked for many men in their sexual pursuits. Just trying to explain the downvotes. Your attention is a resource, and when supply is high, demand drops. Everyone enjoys someone who genuinely listens to them, but in a man/woman dichotomy this sort of emotional support will win you friends at best, and is how many of us here already lived our lives prior to TRP. Now, if everything el…

I'll give my take. Diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder in my early 20s. Did nothing but sleep and think of killing myself while I was awake for way too long. Barely ate. Lost my social circle. Put on a happy mask for the family until that finally cracked. I saw a psychologist and psychiatrist at university, so probably more welcoming than a private practice. Both men. When you are at a place so terribly low, the pills help, the routine of seeing someone and releasing demons helps. But its n…

I concede that the housing market is fucked royally, but overall the new world economy is in its infancy and there will be growing pains. The US is still the intellectual and financial capital of the world. All of what you said is part of the game of economics and isn't a long term strategy. At least we are allowed that wiggle room to print and feed our own system unlike the EU which is truly in a pickle. Caveat: I know shit all about macroeconomics and I strongly believe most people here don't …

I agree there is no comparison to the entitlement of today, but its the same beast. Back then the only women with the free time to go out and advocate for their "rights" were the upper crust wives of society who were bored of gossiping and fan waving. Men were obligated by law and society to fight and die in massive wars, and were granted the right to vote as compensation. The rest of the time, men took on all manual labor intensive jobs for looooong hours while women tended the home, watched th…

Great post. If this post resonates with anyone reading, I recommend meditation of any form. Along with the many physiological benefits, it cultivates the sort awareness of thought patterns and behavior that OP describes. You realize you are the captain of your ship, not the ship itself, doomed to a fate determined by the chaos of the sea. A loose analogy that many have heard and logically understand, but few experience as a state of mind. Very psychedelic.

To add some perspective, once upon a time (exactly 100 years ago) many here would be watching our friends faces melt in a trench. I'm optimistic for MY future. You can have a shitty life dwelling on all the horrible things that are wrong with a broken system created by broken creatures, or you can make the best of it. When the "inevitable" collapse happens, you can pat yourself on the back knowing you saw it coming. Congratz man. Yearning for some post-apocalyptic waste-land where masculinity re…

Short and sweet "I've put a bit more time into it and it has refocused me. I mean, what else do I have to do now? "I go to the golf course, I go to the gym and it's just my life at the minute. Cut out the distractions, focus attention and energy, reap the rewards.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
