If you feel that you are unsafe and need to be guarded about what you say in therapy, you need a new therapist.

I'm not sure this question is suitable for this sub. If people are hired based on merit it doesn't matter their gender. It's when people are hired based on their gender alone is when it becomes a rights issue.

Yeah...I got that too. Seemed kind of arbitrary.

Poke your head in and holler, "service...is this washroom occupied?" source: I'm a teacher at an elementary school and the janitors do this all the time.

Keep the door propped open, or lock it behind you while you gather your samples.

I'm a very early morning walker...like 5 am. I always cross to avoid any perceived threat. I really don't need to freak out a woman to the point where a scream may draw unwanted attention and assumptions.

It's important to have standards.

My fav. quote from the link is: "I’ve laid out boundaries like this for him prior" ...as though he's some kind of naughty puppy.

I hate that this happened to you. I hate that light affectionate touching has become so vilified. I suppose the only thing to do is get absolutely positive consent before you can rest your head on on another's head...did she ask for consent to rest hers on your shoulder?

Here's a fun activity: tell the top commenter from that thread that she's a solid 6.

I wonder how this works. The film has been cancelled, but did Netflix already pay for the rights? Did she already bank the money?

I still laugh when I think about how "brave" my cheating, ex-wife was celebrated. Sympathies, brother.

Where I come from, you would have been charged on the spot for restraining her.

The consensus here (so far) seems to be that once the child is born, it is going to need care that costs money. Ethically, both parents should be responsible here. I think that the more interesting question would be what happens with the money? Is there some form of accountability in place? Can't the funds be put into a trust that ensures the money is used for the child?

I like to think the best in people and assume that she is totally misreading A. He is just being polite; answering her emails, walking her to her car, he maybe asks her out for coffee now and then....and of course she assumes that she's all that....the center of his world and will wait for years for her to put out. My best wish for A is that he has her in a holding pattern if whatever else he has going on falls through.
