I don't feel as though I'm experienced enough to give more advice in this area but if I were to try, I'd say that you need to take the relationship to sex as quickly as possible and avoid talks about the future of your relationship until jumping in bed is regular. How about asking her to come over and watch a movie, then just advance it from there? Only you can decide what would work with this girl though.

You're doubting yourself because she was oblivious to your hints. Maybe it's too much drink, maybe she's not very observant or maybe you weren't obvious enough. Only you can answer that. Sounds like you're doing fine though, I say just carry on.

I think he means different types of dates. Going to a bar together or Netflix and chill is one thing, going for dinner at a restaurant and bringing flowers is another. If you see what I mean?

England is no different than anywhere else. Just walk up to them and say "Hi", "hey what's up" or point something out like "Hey cute hat" and lead it into a conversation starter like "What are you waiting around for?" / "Where are you heading?". Does that help a bit? Feel free to put those into whatever slang you feel appropriate, however I can't imagine that would be necessary here.
