I'm INFJ, my SO is ENTJ/INTJ, I think both are pretty accurate ;) Edit: SO corrected me ;p

I think its pretty clear that you don't understand the point of the OP and you are trying to create these "subtle head games" when they don't exist. OP took control of her emotions, didn't entertain obnoxious ideas of entitlement, was a pleasant person and her relationship is better for it.

Being a pleasant person to be around isn't a head game. Emotional manipulation, ex: crying, being resentful, giving the silent treatment when you don't get you what you want, is the head game.

Its very sad we live in a world where it is easier to break someone else down to build yourself up, rather than use it to motivate yourself to change and improve.

My SO and I are actually moving next week, so a lot of packing this weekend! I love the 4th of July, its one of my favorite holidays, but we'll probably try to have a relaxing holiday and long weekend, maybe get to see some fireworks.

I would love flair, but I don't know if I deserve it yet, I do comment and participate but not as much as I would like. I've been on here for about 5 months, I'm trying to get back on here more ;)

I'm so sorry for your loss! I can't imagine what you're going through right now. You're in my thoughts and sending hugs your way!

Yes, yes, yes! I was just saying this last night. Some men hurt other men, some men hurt women, some women hurt men and some women hurt other women, if you're an asshole you're gonna be an asshole no matter what your gender.

I don't know about anyone else, but I can also find that when women are nice all the time, it can be REALLY annoying! It comes off as disingenuous to me. I strive to be direct and set clear boundaries while also being pleasant. But there is also a time to be blunt and harsh as some people can be pretty dense. lol

Whenever I start reading threads like like this, it makes my blood boil at first but then I just start to laugh at the ridiculousness of it. It always surprises me how outraged women get about the idea of being unselfish and the idea of "its not about you". Relationships should not be self serving.

I have a bachelors of science in human services and I'm currently getting my masters in social work, I'll graduate in May whoot whoot! :) I am really proud of my profession and I have a passion for what I do. Fortunately, I do not have any student loans from my undergrad degree, just my graduate degree. I hated my undergrad experience, I didn't like to party or do any of the "typical" college experiences, I never really felt like I fit in. My graduate experience has been much better, mostly beca…

I've had similar friends, I've don't really talk about the details of my relationship or RPW with them, because 1) I feel like they would also try to stage some sort of "intervention", and 2) its really none of their business. My former best friend is very BP and could be very vocal about her disdain for some aspects of my relationship. My boyfriend doesn't like her and could see her BP and hamster tendencies and while I understood and respected his reasoning I had a hard time seeing this in her…

I didn't share last week, but here are this week's goals: try to get focused on school work and dedicate more time to assignments! I am in my last semester of graduate school (only 4 week left!!!!) and I'm having major motivational problems, gotta get my butt in gear! Also try to get more sleep, both my SO and I have been trying to get back on a regular sleep pattern, and its been difficult.

Yes, definitely. It such a relief to feel better, my main symptom was migraine headaches, 4-5 times a week. The thyroid does so much for your body, when its not working properly, it's crazy how much it can throw your entire body out of sync.

For me the thyroid issues are partly hereditary, and I'm on medication for it, so while it is better, my thyroid levels have been normal since my last blood test, it's hard to tell what made it better. Most likely a mixture of the medication and lifestyle change.

I thought this was really interesting. I was actually just diagnosed with hypothyroidism about a month ago, I was put on a daily hormone therapy for it. While I do not currently do steady state cardio, I used to. Over the past 2 or 3 years I have changed my routine and now do more HIIT and plyometrics. I do really appreciate the article's message though and the scientific resources to back it up.

I got a chin length bob about a year and a half ago, I liked it for a few months and regretted it! Definitely try to wash your hair less and massage coconut oil into your scalp down into your ends, this helped for me! Waiting is always the hardest, it will come back just takes time, good luck!

This is so nice! I'm new to this sub and I thought this would be a great place to say I really appreciate that I can express my views with other women who share them and are willing to give honest feedback. This is the only place I feel I can openly express my values, besides with my SO. So, thank you!

Happily taken woman! :) Our relationship has been going really well. Both of us are in our last semesters of school and are so so so ready to be done with school so we can start our life together. Even though this can be a very stressful time for us, because we can be so busy, I'm very proud of our ability to not let it affect our relationship, we may discuss what is stressing us out but we don't bring let any of it affect us negatively.

We as women are born to have children! Of course it is hard, but there is a reason women have been doing it for centuries, its worth it.

Planks, lots of planks and squats. I do Jillian Michaels DVDs at home. My favorites are Ripped in 30 and Killer Abs. She mixes cardio, strength and abs. I've been doing her workouts about 4 days a week for about 3 years now and I still love them.

Last year for steak and bj day, I took my SO out to a steak house and while the host was seating us he asked what had brought us out for dinner that night. My SO and I just looked at each other, smiled and laughed :)

I thought this was an excellent description of what a stay at home mom/wife does and what it means to her family. I also really enjoyed his comments on the ideal. To call it the ideal, is to claim that children IDEALLY would spend LESS time around their mothers. This is madness. Pure madness. It isn't ideal, and it isn't neutral. The more time a mother can spend raising her kids, the better. The better for them, the better for their souls, the better for the community, the better for humanity. P…

This is excellent. It highlights the loyalty that is one of the foundations of a strong "intelligent" relationship. If you trust your man when things are going smoothly, than why on earth wouldn't you trust him when things are rough. Trust, support and loyalty should be expected at all times.

Wages go down because there are more people to flood the job market. More supply of workers and people looking for jobs, both men and women, means companies can offer lower wages.

I agree with most of your points, especially number 3. It really gets to me when a woman is looked down upon for wanting to do what comes natural to her, like staying home, raising children, taking care of your husband. If you choose to have a career outside the home, not marry, etc. that's fine, if you choose to stay home, raise a family, that's fine too. One is not better than the other, they are just different. Early feminism and modern feminism are completely different.
