What they don't know can't hurt them. Now's the time to get used to doing shit without needing to check in with mommy and daddy beforehand, you know?

I genuinely wonder how much damage my immigrant parents did to me by asking me every time I mentioned talking to a girl, if she was my girlfriend. Made me not want to talk to them in middle school, which I think had lasting effects. I didn't make my first female friends until college.

You must have some type of edge for women to react so positively to you. I think our society is so atomized that most people are afraid of talking to strangers. So OP is seen as a refreshing change. 20 years ago, I bet most women would have rolled their eyes or ignored him.

I can count on one finger the number of women who have found me attractive. No gender ratio is fixing that. My college had a slight female majority, that never helped me.

I’m not sure where people got this idea that moving to NY means you’ll get tons of matches. I’m not on Tinder, I’m on Hinge. I had my profile looked over by female friends, and I think I’ve maximized all I can control (basically everything other than face and height). I get maybe 1 match a month.

My impression is the opposite. I’m not white, I posted a fairly meh picture of myself, and it got rated a 7 for attractiveness, despite me being rated a 3 on some rating subreddit. I feel like people on there are nicer than IRL.

I had a woman straight up tell me she likes toxic men and drama. She also complains that “men are trash”. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

My mom and grandma once lectured 12-year-old-me on the importance of eating a lot, because “women don’t like short men”. It was pretty eye opening to me, because before that I assumed height had no impact on attraction.

The vast majority of men on here are not happy though. In general I think most guys (myself included) would be happier if they stopped focusing on chasing women so much. I used to be less worried back when I didn’t give a shit what women thought about me, and I know personally I should probably go back to that mindset.

nowadays it’s about showing as much skin as possible to get 13 year olds to use their free subscription from their parents’ Amazon Prime account on you

I’ll admit to having been a beta orbiter in the past. Both times, it was for super-liberal women who both claimed they could never date conservative men. But they had no problem hooking up with the most conservative man we knew. This is just an anecdote, but I figured I’d throw it out there.

I’m from the North Shore of Long Island (lots of inherited wealth). I think like a quarter of the chicks I’ve seen on Tinder either have a picture of them on a boat, or a bio saying they want to be taken on a guy’s boat. It’s over for boatlesscels.

I have a hard time believing this. I'm pretty sure every ugly guy is acutely aware of how ugly he is by the time he's 13, because of how other kids in school treat him.

Doesn’t shock me. My buddy in Silicon Valley says the gender ratio is awful, so you have all these rich lonely tech workers.

what MGTOW is supposed to mean: men living happy and fulfilling lives without debasing themselves for a crumb of coochie what MGTOW has actually come to mean: men sitting around and complaining that women are the cause of 100% of the world’s problems

Where do you even find these women? Presumably not on dating apps, because with those gender ratios, even women who don't upload pictures get tons of attention. It doesn't seem like women want to be approached at bars or other public places, especially if the guy is unattractive.

it’s probably just a combination of people having kids at an older age and a bigger emphasis on diagnoses

When a woman looks at an unattractive man, she doesn’t think “I don’t want to date him because he might pump and dump me.” She thinks “I don’t want to date him because I’m not into him”.

You said guys like OP make dating harder for all men. I told you why I think that’s not true. Seems pretty relevant.

Even if other guys were totally virtuous, it doesn’t change the fact that women find the majority of men unattractive. While I agree that OP is either a troll or a sociopath, I’m not sure how that has any impact on the fact that biologically, women have much higher standards than men.

I've read that as much as men confuse friendly gestures as signs of attraction from women, women tend to confuse signs of attraction from men as friendliness. Maybe I'm being naive, but I bet some women who "put a guy in the friendzone" have no idea that the guy is even interested.

This is very funny to me, after reading a study that found that women are more likely to wear heels on a first date if they find the man more attractive. Obviously IDK if that’s the case for you, but in general it’s funny to think that guys are feeling insulted by a woman wearing uncomfortable shoes to make herself seem more attractive to him.

What I think a lot of women don’t realize is that if a man is ugly, the world has made him acutely aware of it since he was like 13. It seems pretty rare that an ugly man has deluded himself into thinking he’s above average.

A phrase I saw on /r/askmen was “do you want this woman raising your kids?” It stuck with me, even though I have no interest in having kids. Most of the women guys complain about on here are not worth worrying about.

Not always. Read about Fisherian runaway. Are peacocks better off because the females select for the males with the prettiest feathers?

I can’t imagine at the age he is now Elon Musk will be just whipping his dick out indiscriminately. Look, I have no idea whether he did it or not. But let's not pretend Musk is some rational guy who never acts impulsively and has perfect social skills.

My friends are watching Euphoria, and I'm trying to figure out how much of it is realistic. My high school years were spent studying and playing video games and basketball with my small group of friends. Hell, I don't think I tasted alcohol until the night of my prom.

I’m the exact same way. Redpill is the only school of thought that acknowledges that we are animals, with millions of years of evolution and instinct acting as the driving force behind a lot of what we do.

When I said “approach”, I meant in a “I find him attractive” way. Men will start conversations with me, but women not so much. But I’ve been told I look mad all the time (even though I’m not) so I’m not very representative of the male experience in that regard.

Apex fallacy. She approaches attractive men, so she assumes that all men get approached like that. Most of us are straight up invisible.

I’m guessing you’re in Europe? From what I understand, in Europe a master’s is treated like a bachelor’s is in the US.

This brings back painful memories. In high school, there was this girl I was into who I became a beta orbiter for. There was this attractive but misogynistic guy she would always complain about to me. You can guess who she hooked up with.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
