Hold up, so radical: "It's ok to feel different, and we shouldn't bully other people who aren't the same as us" sane educational thinking: "boys are the spawn of the devil's, everything is their fault" ?

You hit the nail on the head. No they don't speak against misandry because a lot of trans women who are highly-disphoric often end up projecting their own self-hate onto anything masculine. And then when they're faced with misandry ("man in a dress" "LARPing as a woman" "Man up" etc), they call it "transmisoginy". It's literally cope. Like no, there's nothing –giny with it, they see you as a dude. Saying this as a trans chick.

It's also straight up wrong. also, "testosterone rage", wtf ? 14yos are not bulls.

gender-reversal game time! I was in kindergarten when i learned girls couldn't possible do anything wrong ever, and that if i was there with a bleeding arm because one cut me with scissors, it was because i was faking it and lying.

physical behavior doesn't equal violence, not necessarily. boys who perpetuate violent behaviors with malice, for the sake of violence, have issues (often family issues). It's not an unchangeable set-in-stone characteristic.

for many it gets much broader and more subtle at the same time- you hate anything and everything that makes you even just think of your 'old self' or your dysphoria. But yeah. In this aspect, i guess there's a vague parallel.

Very often dysphoric trans women project their own self-hate and self-resentment on men as a whole and become misandrists (sometimes its even a way to cope with said self-hate). It's a sad thing, for they really could give great help in creating a 'bridge' between genders so that people would more easily understand eachother's struggles, as ya sad.

That's a sad, sad individual, shaming others to feel better about himself. You're allowed to pick up sticks dude, whoever bullied you in the past was wrong. Pick up all the sticks you want and dont bully others because you werent allowed to have fun. All can enjoy sticks.

No, it means a lesbian who's "pure" and has never been "tainted" by male touch. (The concept itself is not bad, but the way people talk about it tends to be disgusting and elitist)

First of all, bullshit. Second of all: the way a lot lesbians (particularly "gold star" lesbians and younger ones) talk about women is terribly similar to the way the type of men they criticize do it.

The linked article talks about how trans men (in the picture) are actually men by transitioning, but trans women aren't women by transitioning –they're still men, becos bio men evil.

Plain and simple, the hard truth is that "transphobia" towards trans women is just misandry.

Read the whole bit. Aside from the fact its complete and utter bullshit, its style is also not only presumptuous and verbose but also repetitive, windy and drawn-out. 0/10 would not recommend.

"some men who talk about men's mental health have been nasty to me, therefore we must not care about men's mental health (including my own?)" is not defensible. Yeah, its wrong – and i didnt defend it. It's very sad that one would get to disregard a serious issue just like this. All i said was it's dishonest to pretend the thing oop mentioned is "not real". How is getting better friends going to improve an issue with society? It's not gonna solve the problem on a societal level, and i didnt impl…

Is he wrong about it being "Bullshit"? yeah, 100% – it is a very real issue of today. But he's speaking based on his own experience and noting the hypocrisy of all the men who talk big about mental health and then are the first to shame men in difficult situations or make fun of them. How can you deny this is a thing, i dont understand. For sure it's not the majority of men, or men in general, but there indeed are men like that (and loud about it). Even if you have never experienced it, someone …

Dunno where you are from but where I am from, if you dont have a "family tradition" in the field (as in, your parents are farmers or some shit), liking animals is considered "feminine". If a man works with animals and stuff he's supposed to not care about them more than the bare minimum or be affectionate with them because it's "childish" and "feminine" to care about animals. It's something stemming from the "men shouldnt show emotions" thing.

The right sees men as an expendable drones. Paternity leave? Fairer outcomes in trials? Stopping circumcision? better custody? support for male victims? the right does not care about that one bit — “real men” dont care about that, because of tradition. Im trying to be civil, if your intention is to just throw labels, then i bid you good day mate for i am not in the mood for arguing

No, misandry will get more insistent in the close future, being fueled by resentment over this defeat (which is wrong, ofcourse). Yet if you think Trump will be of any support to men and men’s issues you are delusional.

I think the vilest thing about it is that the author (from what I've read) literally talks about which problems men face inside the system, in order to exploit said problems to enact this process. Awful read, -∞ /10

Just because you dont align with the current state of the left and of the modern LGBT movement (which is... well, perfectly understandable and reasonable) it doesn't mean you have to side necessarily with the opposite party. You yourself admit you havent changed your initial positions that made you left-leaning, but that the left as a movement has changed nowadays. Yet you also recognize how the right, the "opposition" to the left with which you previously sided, holds little to no tolerance for…

Let's start with this, since people here are so quick to judge. I am not a feminist, at all. I believe in, and am pretty vocal about, equality. I talk about men's struggles a lot, to the point I burned my reputation in some places for it, entered arguments with representatives of feminist organizations, and even held a speech about men's issues. Then. The main post has a generic title, asking (I'd dare to say rhetorically asking) why do "feminists" (generic) hate Men's Mental Health Month. The r…

I fear I’ll be downvoted a lot but here i go. It’s because it almost always gets brought up as a way to argue and fuel conflict, and not in a productive and propositive way. It’s never “It’s Men’s Mental Health Month, lets do something about it!”, no one even tries to get together to do protests or unite to voice men’s problems, its always “b-but what about us men???” threw in conversations that arent about men. So far, both IRL and in most online spaces, ive only seen it being used as a way to …

You shouldn't tell anything that could be used against you to anyone unless you feel completely safe with them. End of story. If (like in OP's case) the other person has an habit of gaslighting and twisting words, you shouldn't tell them anything at all that goes beyond surface-level things / light things. this is not some obscure lore, this is basic tactics to survive in the modern world.

is that a barb or youre being serious? cause if youre serious, then: yes, I agree , that's why you try to observe people before getting close to them. if you're just throwing one at me instead, ... chill a little?

i dont even know what to argue against that. like, now's became a "women are the enemy" thing? I get that socially ("gender"-ly) speaking, growing up as a girl/woman orientates an individual to a certain mindset but... we're all individuals, not clones...? If we want to be serious, you shouldn't open up with *anyone* except someone you already know to be safe. Doesn't matter what they have in their pants. but heeyyyyy apparently im a feminist now, according to you guys, so whatever

I KNOW DUDE. but its not because having a vagina makes you that way. A lot of women do it (YES I FUCKING KNOW, BELIEVE ME) because they end up with a certain mentality. It's about being shitty people.

Really sorry for you mate. Hope you manage to sort this out. ^(P.S. Guys do this too, its not much about gender, more it's about personality and how much you're an asshole. It can be something unintentional, as in one does it because they get carried away during the argument and they say it out of frustration/rage. Or it can be something intentional, as in the other person does it specifically to hurt you and they \consciously* think of anything they can throw at you to hurt you and make you fee…

Where did i say that everyone goes to college? What i said is that age wise there is a difference in mentality. If you go to work and have a job it’s the same thing. You have an 8 years difference - it’s not 18 and 21, the post is talking about 18 and 25-26. And such a gap in these early years does matter. I didn’t say it wont work as a relationship, i said it’s harder to make it work. Cause you are the adult world (job, college, whatever) while she’s just finished highschool. Its simply the way…

Most people are not okay with that because of stupid stereotypes. Like the older "predator" who goes for the youngest girls he can find etc. Given that indeed it's wrong to shame or bully for this, I personally find that such an age disparity is going to be problematic, from a communication-and-priorities point of view. It's not the same as when she's 30 and you're 38, that is a point in life when you're both experienced and the difference in mentality is somewhat leveled. She has just finished …

The "[Being a] Real Man" thing is just complete bullshit. It's literally used – by both feminists, leftists and right-wingers – to basically erase all of a man's individuality and personality, reducing the entirety of being "a man" to "be an overworking, supermuscular, never-complaining, sacrificable living wallet". Sry if I sound harsh, but this topic really makes me furious.
