7	CMV: The most obvious reason why modern dating is broken is because women have too many options because of the internet. Men and women in the US hate each other. There are currently more women than men as a whole, more in colleges too (in theory making it easy to date in that age bracket re approach). 2	Generally speaking, most guys in relationships are not valued for who they are, but for how they make their girlfriends feel and what they can provide for them (attention, money, status and so on).
