-1	Puerto Rico has 3 guys killed per DAY but one woman per WEEK is a state of emergency? What I was trying to say is that just because the law gives equal rights it doesn't mean there is true equality (atleast in India as I gave examples above). -1	Puerto Rico has 3 guys killed per DAY but one woman per WEEK is a state of emergency? The thing with India is that ppl don't follow laws still do they , I have seen little girls getting married to 20yo guys and dowry is still a thing (and this is in a metropolitan city) even though it's banned by law. It is still accepted by majority of the population that men are expected to earn income and women are supposed to stay at home and raise kids (this affects both genders negatively). 1	Paris city hall fined for putting too many women in senior roles (69%) I have not come across ppl who have been affected by reservation (positive nor negative) so I won't comment on that. Women have 20% reservation in IIT and this was done to encourage women into the technical field because it was a male dominated field I also don't think men are losing any jobs to women ; in this field they have a very low acceptance rate. Caste is an even bigger issue over here. So if u are a woman and lower caste you are not getting anything over here ; no respect nothing.
