I think the problem is that you’re trying to approach her in a setting where you have like 30 seconds to talk to her without holding up the line, so you’re starting at a disadvantage. The checkout line is no place for small talk unless you want to piss off other people. You’re probably going to have the same problem approaching other women while their attention is on working and not on trying to chat. Also, talk to anyone who has ever worked in customer service (I did for some time), the persona…

Your best bet is probably to not try to talk to her while she’s at work then. You’re probably not going to have enough time to make any conversation while in the checkout line. Do it in a different situation. Or just not at all. Maybe this specific woman isn’t someone who you need to involve in this “experiment” or whatever the heck you want to call it.

Alright fine, you made that clear now. But you see what I’m saying about using the word “conquest” giving off the wrong vibe, right? And it’s not like cashiers are a different type of human or something. They’re just normal people. Have you had success flirting with people before? If so, just do what you did then. There’s no “special techniques” for people who work as cashiers because they’re just normal people.

Don’t “guess that you can use a different word”, actually do it. Using it as a joke doesn’t make it okay or less derogatory. Just makes it seem like you view these women as a prize or something to “win”. If that is how you view women, well, then I hope you keep failing at pursuing her.

Dude, don’t refer to women (or anyone) as “conquests”. This isn’t an RPG with side quests, I’m sure there’s a better word you can use. They aren’t missions you need to beat.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
