Still running on Java, but the Windows 10 version(basically mobile but ported to PC) runs on C++ iirc.

Before 1.9, combat was spam clicking, seeing who has the best gear, and who has the least ping. Now combat has some actual skill.

Notch is such a good guy. Even though I get kinda bored of Minecraft when I hit the lategame(and I don't really like a lot of mods because I don't want to read through wikis full of info and my laptop is a ton of shit), it's a very very good game.
