I read through that thread, I couldn't see any evidence that it was necessarily a false accusation, and it kind of seemed like she was encouraged by a legal expert, saying her evidence was strong. Can anyone tell me why they know she's lying? It's important to remember that while false accusations are under represented, that genuine rape victims (men and women) often are unable to get justice. In terms of rape it means if you don't believe you are proceeding without consent, or in other words, you sincerely believe you have consent (and this belief is reasonable) then you haven't committed rape. This is why lawyers will ask about a woman's behaviour during the events where she believes she was raped. 16	In U.K women will only be jailed for serious crimes. This is pure discrimination against men, and a double standard based purely on sexism. What can we as citizens do about this? there must be something we can do about it? From what I've read about it, it seems to be the case that the justice system here cares more about reforming and rehabilitating women and more about punishing men. The only thing I can think of doing is writing to your MP and asking why we have discriminatory approaches to justice with regards to gender, why can't men have a rehabilitation-focused sentence also?
