Volume eating has been helping me a lot. It's almost the exact opposite of what we would have done in pre-industrial times. Instead of eating nutrient dense food, just substitute the density for volume and you have a recipe for success. I've been doing a 2000 calorie lunch one meal a day where I stuff myself and it feels great because I don't hit the breaks and have the feeling of wanting to eat more and feeds into my want to destroy what's in front of me and it makes meals easy.
