Indeed. When my husband is done with his shore duty and can take care of our daughter, I will be enlisting in the Navy. If the military weren't already actively seeking to reduce their numbers I would say that everyone should be required to do 2 years active duty.

I live in military housing. No peep hole, but crime is very unlikely when men with M-16s are chilling at the guard post 100 yards away. If you're in an apartment and your landlords didn't put in a peep hole, chance are you won't convince them to. But if you own your own home, I highly recommend DIYing this one. My friend's mother is a meth addict, and is in a relationship with her drug dealer.
