I was homeschooled and while struggled with social interaction, that was because I'm just dumb in some manner. My siblings were fine and not some weirdo on reddit. :)

20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. You cannot control them, do not let them control you. The disdain comes from within, and you can use it as leverage, but should not use it as a weapon.

This reads like a scarcity-minded BluePiller trying to teach his bro how to get laid. Don't do this for the girl, do it for yourself and the girls will come.

I would second Man's Search for Meaning. The author especially noted how quickly his fellow inmates would perish after they gave up.

What affect does Jesus have on hypergamy?

I tend to put others in front of myself, as I was raised in a tight-knit Christian community, so when I hit the big city, it wasn't unusual for me to be the sucker in most interactions. I still maintain that putting others before one's self is the key to a healthier, more homogeneous society, but I only do it for people who reciprocate. I'm no longer a nice guy to everyone, which is how this book helped me. Surely not the only lesson and I need to reread it, it's been a few years.

Regardless, the book will still be useful to read. It might even be easier, as the book describes Nice Guys as spineless jerks who don't deal with their problems and are forced to put a veneer of civility up.

Stop the negative self talk and break some goals into manageable steps. As for your faith, remember that Jesus died to save you. This doesn't remove you from suffering. Suffering has merit. Everyone here suffers physically in order to grow muscles or shed weight. Because I never had a father figure, I had to invent one. Look to someone you respect, or a series of people you admire and figure out what you will emulate. Men tease or rib or test each other in order to find your weaknesses. If you g…

Seeing as it's mostly men who experience it and mostly men who cause it, you might be right.

Time for you to define what success for you is, establish goals and then use resources around you to attain them. Giving up is the greatest 'unsuccess' and no one will help you but yourself. Trust me, I spent 6 years thinking I was unsuccessful and waiting for someone to help me. Then I spent 1 year fighting that mentality and had the greatest growth in my life.

I was 24 with a really bad victim mentality and some severe social anxiety. (Went out to a dance party but had to cover my face with a mask because I was terrified.) I used to think that the term 'fake it until you make it' was inherently dishonest as it presented a side of you that was not completely true. So I found one that Aristotle (I think, you can never be too sure these days) said, "You are what you do." Fast forward to now (25), lost the V-card, had a FWB for a while, my SAD is almost a…

Do you have any examples off the top of your head of how suave people act? I am usually subtle like a battleaxe, so I generally clam up out of fear of offending people. Or do I ignore that fear?

Walk into a venue? Clap your hands once, walk up to the nearest person you want to talk to. Do it instantly.
