4	You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means No, people don't overestimate biological drives. People underestimate them for whatever reason. There's a Norwegian documentary called Brainwash and I suggest you watch the first part entitled "The Gender Equality Paradox". It demonstrates that young babies will prefer toys associated with their sex, long before any kind of cultural/social influences are introduced. It goes over the same idea you put forth and there is some striking evidence to suggest that even very young babies will prefer toys associated with their sex, long before any kind of cultural/social influences are introduced.
