Well to be fair, it was decidedly more equitable then. Plus, leaving a man wasn't really feasible and certainly didn't result in stealing half his money.

Just trying to figure out if MGTOW is for me after observing women in my life and spending time on the sub. You can see in my history that I've asked a question here before, and I'll probably do so again. The more viewpoints and answers, the more able to make a decision I'll be.

Nope. College age dude, starting to observe how the women in my life act and trying to find a philosophy. I won't deny that I'm still clinging on to the hope of a mutually beneficial relationship, but I recognize it's probably not realistic and I'm trying to rid myself of those thoughts.

I'm getting there as far as understanding that AWALT, but at least in this case, what is it that are women are like? All women will have sex with reckless abandon as long as society allows for it? In this case, there is of course the argument that, in fact, not all women do hook up ceaselessly, and will wait for someone or only be in actual relationships. FWIW, I'm not trying to argue that NAWALTs exist, I'm just trying to figure out my own MGTOW path.

Thanks, that helps. Of the relationships in which I've been privy to the details from the girl's side, there have usually been two-way exchanges: sex, emotional security. I suppose I'm not quite at the age where money is as big of a deal yet, and that seems to be where the true nature of women shows.

I mean, the few relationships/weird "talking" thing college students do that I've been in have been partially enjoyable; the deficiencies were more because of my inexperience than anything else. I would like to spend my life with someone, I'm a fan of some parts of relationships and if I can find a woman who thinks similarly to me, I'd like to continue spending time with her.
