It's happened at least once, and once is too many.

Exactly. The problem isn't someone asking to stop midway through sex. It's the people who ask for it to stop, and it stops, but who still go on and claim they were raped.

I still visit their subreddit from time to time, because wouldn't you know it, I do care about both sides of the story... but yeah, that subreddit can be such a shit-show at times.

The makers of this app really come off as man-haters, if their Facebook page is anything to go by.

It's a problem because this is, quite unfortunately, the majority of men's reactions to such an incident. It might just be a very vocal minority, but it appears to be the majority of men nonetheless. We have to question why so many men (and women) think this is okay.

Devil's advocate here, but I'd rather a child be raised by a single parent that is good to it than live in a household with two parents who can't stand each other. If that means going without either a mother or a father, so be it. Source: my life.

I wouldn't say it's so much a hatred of men as it is a disposition to see everything from the women's perspective. No matter what issue you bring up, it will be viewed from the feminist perspective and only women will be discussed in regards to the issue. The other day there was a thread about male birth control pills in /r/feminism, and of course most comments chose to focus on the woman. "This is such and such because women..." It's understandable that they'd want to talk primarily about women…

That place looks like a cheap knock-off of SRS. Stop linking it here, we don't want it.

There was a discussion here a few days ago about this exact same scenario. I brought up the fact that men don't have any safeguards against this sort of behavior and can be forced to pay child support for the next eighteen years, while women have access to abortion or adoption. I want to see if all the downvoters still think this is fair.

Feminists will probably call this boy a rapist because that girl was drunk Ding, ding, ding; we have a winner.

It would take a white knight moron mentality to not see it Unfortunately, there are white knights running a muck in this thread.

You didn't deserve to be downvoted for this.

Do you personally agree with this? How would you feel about fathers having the choice of "financial abortion" in the same time window that a mother is allowed to get an abortion? For example, while a fetus is still able to be aborted, a man can legally give up his status as father of that child.

Upvoting this in the hopes that it is sarcasm.

Because, apparently, women aren't the strong, independent individuals they'd like to have us believe. Of course it's okay to force a man to pay! Men are always the ones paying. /s I'm not asking for men to get away from all responsibility, just afford us the same safeguards in the case of an unwanted child. Women abort because they feel a child will be detrimental to their overall life, why can't men do the same in a sense, albeit financially?

Finally, some sense in this thread. I felt like I was the only one arguing this point of inequality. There is a gross double standard when it comes to laws concerning parenthood. Someone further down told me if a woman pricks holes in a condom, the man should still pay child support if she becomes pregnant, but if the man had pricked holes, she should just abort it. Seriously?

You're anti-abortion I am pro-abortion, but what you said is completely hypocritical and a poor excuse for an argument. You can't be pro-choice and also say no to something because it's "detrimental to the child." You know what else is detrimental to the child? Killing it. So either you aren't pro-choice or your argument is complete shit; you decide.

Can you think of any ways that don't fuck over the child? Let me stop you right there. If your only concern is not fucking over the child, then you must also think abortions should be outlawed because they also fuck over the child. You're not really concerned about the child, you only care about the mother.

In the case of he wants/she doesn't, are you people really advocating that he should be able to legally force her to complete the pregnancy? No, and it is because of this that we feel men should have a legal option to back out as father of the child if it's a case of she wants it/he doesn't.

Exactly. If women are allowed abortions without the father's say-so, then men should have an equivalent option in the case of an unwanted child.

I'm fully expecting to get lambasted for saying this, even here, but things like this are the reason I completely and utterly mistrust women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
