They think it's cool because, for all its negatives, it has some aspects that humans find appealing on a primal level, but which are practically absent from safe suburbia: danger, toughness, struggle, violence, lawlessness etc. People romanticize it like they do the wild west or the mafia.

NT's in general. They care more about the big picture and are thus more willing to do things which are considered immoral if they believe it's for the greater good. Since the average person doesn't see the big picture, all they see are those acts of apparent immorality and assume the NT is evil or unfeeling.

I agree with both you and the OP. I think your disagreement stems from you having a narrower definition for who qualifies as a Chad. But yeah, the popular narrative of the bully/jock ending up a loser comes true less often than most would like to believe.

I think he's assuming those who want this sub to be a "self-improvement" sub are using that term as a PC euphemism for "sexual strategy," which isn't necessarily the case. I've enjoyed and learned from many of the posts and comments that aren't directly related to sexual strategy, and I hope they aren't cracked down on. We've got a whole bunch of like minds together here, so why limit the discussion? But that's just my opinion, I know TRP isn't a democracy.

It's like being able to walk away in a relationship, but applied to everything in your life at once. When you know you can literally walk away from everything in your life and still be fine, it gives you the feeling of having an increased position of power in general, even if you don't ever expect to actually do it. And the resulting vibe of added confidence can sensed by others. It's just like having "fuck you money," except you don't need any money to pull it off.

If you can't shut up, at least try to stop talking about yourself so much and instead talk about whoever you're talking to. Ask them questions, keep it about them. You'll simultaneously flatter them and obtain information about them.

Just because one party is bad doesn't make the other any better. We're apolitical because both parties are corrupt and view us as livestock to be manipulated and exploited. Both parties are funded by the some of the same people and groups. To take sides is to play into their divide-and-conquer strategy.

It's no more deceptive or trickerous (?) than any other satire. Satire is most effective when it's just exaggerated enough that the average person can tell it's satire, while those being satirized largely can't.

Self-reliance is also demonized because making and fixing your own stuff and doing your own chores isn't taxable. Hiring repairmen and cleaners, using a laundry service, buying all your food ready-made etc. means more money for the very government that decides what gets taught in school. If that is your view, than you are a destroyer of society, just as complicit as the worst feminist. The destroyers of society are the elites with the power to disincentivize socially-destructive behaviors, but who choose not to. Blaming and shaming ordinary individuals for playing by the fucked up rules they neither wrote nor have any power to rewrite will never change anything, no matter how superior it makes you feel.

To you it seems hypocritical, but it's actually not. Here's an analogy. You know how every once in a while there's a rich guy who says people in his own income bracket should be taxed more, and some smartass replies that he should just write the government a bigger check? It's like that. One dude (or even 1,000) writing a bigger check won't make a noticeable difference, and furthermore would unfairly handicap him versus everyone else. All he's saying is that either everyone should pay more or no…

If you go for something and fail, but left it all out on the line... you won. Yes. We can't guarantee outcomes. All we can guarantee is whether or not we give 100%. If you give 100% every day, anything good that was ever going to happen to you, will.

Ignorant and thus incapable of doing their job. Aware of what they're doing, but simply don't care. Well, anyone that compares politicians' records to their words will have a very hard time believing #1, except in a tiny number of cases. However, I've noticed that most people default to believing #1 nonetheless. Politicians want you to believe #1, and go to some lengths to create that appearance. Assuming you calibrate everything back to a 1-10 scale, what I'm saying that the "new 9's" (solid 1 trolls) wouldn't evoke the exact same sense of beauty as the "old 9's" (actual 9's by current standards) did, due to our biology.

we'd still have the ideal unicorn 10 in our minds Exactly, i.e. our biological wiring for what to find optimally attractive regardless of what we actually find around us. We'll always subconsciously compare women in our environment to that model to some degree, hence beauty not being completely relative to how attractive the women in our environment are. edit: Oh, you meant like if what I described happened today. By the same logic, remove everyone above a 1. It wouldn't just recalibrate to where men would have the exact same reaction to a solid 1 as they once did to a real 9. The roadblock is that we're biologically wired to find traits characterizing 1's unattractive and traits characterizing 9's attractive. Beauty is only somewhat relative.

That and the idea of lying there like a starfish as "labor." Most girls can barely even do a knee pushup, let alone hold one for however long until they orgasm, a la missionary. Yet again, men's labor doesn't count.

Oh man, I see this constantly. Guys project too, but women do it incessantly and take it to a comical level. It's part of their whole "use words for their connotations, not their meanings" thing. When they say negative things about others, you learn so much more about what they think about themselves deep down than about who they're referring to.

What about lying about being widowed? And make it really awkward so they never bring it up again. Sympathy points FTW. "You're so strong." Make her be a foreign woman, and she died/disappeared while you two were vacationing in her country so it's harder for anyone to dig around. Python's where it's at. It's the simplest and most intuitive IMO, and they have bindings for all the major libraries in other languages, so it's all you need for most projects. Just learn the basics, and then as you come up with stuff to do with it, just learn libraries designed for those tasks.

It's partly that the less clever Machiavellians are more visible, since being less clever means you're more error-prone and worse at hiding your intentions. Then there are the clever ones, who you'll never realize are Machiavellians until it's too late, if ever. Edit: downvote away for whatever reason, but I strongly advise not to underestimate Machiavellians or their numbers. I don't consider myself one BTW.

There are almost as many women who broke up with not-yet-rich guys, and regretted it the rest of their lives, as there are grains of sand. We're all raised on this "happily ever after" BS, where if you could just get that career you've always wanted, or that marriage you've always wanted, or whatever it is, then it would be smooth sailing from then on out. It never works out that way. Once you stop struggling toward a difficult goal, you stagnate and decay, and you'll soon be out-competed by others. As I see it, what the system has become is essentially a clever way to achieve the following simultaneously: Socialisically (but not equally, because then it would be too obviously socialistic) distribute resources to the masses (because starving citizens cause trouble) Make them feel like useful, needed contributors who earned their keep (so that they feel patriotic, secure and important) Keep them busy (and thus ignorant and controllable, as people with spare time tend to educate themselves) O…

Women are very trustworthy, in that we can trust them to feel emotions in accord with their biological imperative. That's not trustworthiness, it's predictability. Actually the Family Dynasty Alpha is better than scattering your seed because the "shotgun" approach tends to produce lower quality offspring. (R vs K selection?) There's still value in arguing your point. I'm a big fan of Patrice's strategy for logic vs. emotion arguments. There's a reason egalitarians tend not to call themselves "feminists." Self-proclaimed feminists are known for spending the overwhelming majority of their effort on behalf of women's rights issues, and as long as that remains the case, they'll continue to be associated with women's rights specifically.
