The only porn I consume is vintage print and dvds. Not necessarily to be cool or anything but 1. I find modern fashion to be distasteful (I don't like tattoo a lot of new porn has a lot of tattoos) 2. I'm paranoid and prefer not to have my browsing data collected etc.

Decreasing population, decreasing amount of labor that needs jobs. Syncs well with increase automation of jobs.

I was hoping to find the article but was unable, you wouldn't happen to have a link? Other than that, glad I'm self employed with no employees.. just me, working from home. Doing my own thing. It's peaceful.

I hope you don't mind, but I saved this for future use. I'm not big on explaining myself to people. So handing them a print out that pretty much covers my choices is a good way out. Thanksgiving is coming..this should get some use.

Same, and well worded. I've been trying to find words around how I feel. Part of it is, I see it as a useful tool if menrights want to accomplish anything.. it would be a pretty big bargaining chip that would force people who don't take us seriously to then turn around and say "oh shit". The other part is the reasoning to connect it to this and that's what you effectively did. I wish we could have a more subreddit wide discussion, maybe I'll post something in a day or so, but if you feel up to i…

The 2008 primaries got me off facebook. I use protonmail as my primary. I do sometimes have to use google search, scholar I'm pretty fond of and it will be hard for me to quick that. Trends is useful for research I do as well. I don't know if I will be able to completely give up google but I'm slowly pushing away.. have been even before the Damore stuff.

it depends on what you watch on youtube. I listen to a lot of lectures, it's pretty much the only thing I use youtube for, a good alternative for that is vimeo and ... sigh.. I hate to say it.. iTunes. Again though this is depending on what you use youtube for. Google search I can often use duckduckgo instead but there are times where I need to use Google. Google Scholar for example I use pretty often, haven't found a good alternative for.

Wish others would follow me in not being an organ donor out of protest of practice. Either it would give it a lot of attention and maybe actually help pass some laws banning it until someone is of adult age.. or piss a lot of people off..and nothing gets done..probably piss people off..shrug.. pissing people off is fun though too.

There was some solid research on this from Wharton not long ago, but the results didn't fit the narrative so it was pretty much brushed under the rug.

I think there is a strong societal bias in that everyone just assumes people not involved/dating are missing out and thus unhappy. I can't tell you how many times in my life I've told people that I don't date and have no interest in a partner to only hear "you just haven't meant the right person yet" ... Shit is just drilled into people so hard that they just can't see past the the rainbow into freedom. Shrug..not my fucking problem.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. Which is why I posted, wanted to see what others had to say about it.

Not sure if this was ever shared on here, but seems like a good place to share another article that semi-relates; http://knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu/article/will-gender-diversity-boards-really-boost-company-performance/ I will quote from the article. One portion that probably will have some cheers, and another portion that I think would be viewed negatively. "The results of these two meta-analyses, summarizing numerous rigorous, original peer-reviewed studies, suggest that the relationship betwe…
