A good conversationalist will never be achieved as a robot. Personality is the only thing we can't imitate yet and it's really the only thing we as humans have going for us, I don't know about you but if I had an AI friend installed on my computer (like, real AI, on the same level as humans) I wouldn't need real friends at all, because AI is really interesting. This is also the reason why we shouldn't make true AI in my opinion, cause once that exists we are as good as worthless.
