"Ive had good sex with men from 4 - 7" Does this not count as specification?

I think its very clear that 4' and 7' are not the same. The point was that her capacity for enjoyment has happened with partners that are between 4-7, functionally different but the experience across those sizes is consistent when someone knows what theyre doing.

I think it really depends on the context? For example, if a guy talks a big game and hypes up an intimate encounter, then just fumbles about and tries to put on an act like they know what they're doing, thats a bit icky. Inexperience isn't something anyone would look for in an impulsive or one night stand kinda deal because it's a selfish kinda mutual agreement. However, if someone openly admits they're not too experienced - or if it's been a while - that's something we can both work with. More …

I agree but I think its not so cut and dry. Women are empathised with when they face mistreatment, violence and inappropriate behaviour from men. Other women sympathise for them and so do decent men. A lot of the issues men face whilst dating isn't at the hands of women in the sense of derogatory or inappropriate behaviour. They face a much more systemic issue. Yes, the inappropriate behaviour shown by men is taught through societal expectations, but the perpetrator can be the individual. When i…

Yeah, I think expressions of exclusivity can be either 'courting' or going steady with someone, or even just outwardly stating the boyfriend/girlfriend kinda relationship. Anything before that point I wouldn't call stringing someone along, but it still rubs me the wrong way when people fuck around with dating and need it laid out in front of them. If someone can't work out that, yeah, this is the point where you stop going on other dates and fucking other people, thats probably a red flag anyway

Nope, and I'm 22 for reference. I rarely had times where I was interested in dating through uni, but when i was I would only "date" multiple people if it was maybe a few first casual dates. I would cancel or not look for other dates if one went well and there were plans for another one. Mutual respect and attraction is important to me, but I didn't expect that from any of my dates in the early stages. I do think once a relationship is steady, intimate and looks like it might go somewhere that bo…

Whoever asks or plans the date should pay, and you shouldn't pay for more than two dates in a row. They aren't worth it if they won't step up, make an effort and show their appreciation by reciprocating that effort. I personally feel embarrassed when my partner pays a few times in a row and we have been together for years, we take turns planning and treating eachother because we are both financially able to do so. Some women do take advantage of men in this way, and they are not worth more than …

Honestly, touchy drunk women in clubs are the worst and I don't find it hard to believe that their inappropriate conduct would effect men too. I think a lot of men don't have the fear of violence or expectation when a woman gropes them, if they're not interested they can just say no and easily walk away from that situation. Women expect people to like them touching them, and even moreso for men to be receptive. I've been groped in very dehumanising and objectifying ways by women, in a more overt…

The average women also put more effort and thought into their appearance than the average man, so I don't think its surprising that they're generally more attractive.

Confiding, confessing and being comfortably vulnerable with someone forms a stronger friendship. Usually, if we do this we also expect it to be reciprocated. Women may seek support, comfort and advice from men in relation to emotional topics, but would be perfectly comfortable with that exchange going both ways. If men choose to not be emotionally open or vulnerable, then that is on them, very rarely would anyone who considers themselves a friend ignore emotional confidentiality. I say this know…

Dating apps suck ass, I wouldn't advise anyone to use them. Especially not men. Women use them for ego boosts and rebounds, the women who might get to know you and like you won't be on a dating app 99.9% of the time.

I think the fact is that people don't ever stop growing, learning and adpating their beliefs, wants and morals. Alongside the difficulty of being financially stable to have a child increasing with every generation, it makes sense that those who have been there and got the t-shirt would be cautionary. Personally, I'm well aware that having a child at my age (22) makes some women step up, it sorts their world out and everything can go perfectly. In the same sense, I've seen just as many struggle, …

Acts of service as a love language are freely and happily given, and recieved with no transactional value or weight to them. It should make you happy to express love to your partner in the way they most enjoy. If you believe that flowers and dates are equal to cooking, cleaning and free access to sex in that context then I would call that entitled delusion.

Youre 100% correct, or at least maybe appeal more to a woman he want to impress, as oppose to trying to appeal to women en mass. Being perfect to one person is better than being palletable to many

Average is so subjective and different for everyone. I would say its just none of the 'extemes' in aspects that would make someone ugly or stunning? A healthy weight, either slightly over or under, the same with height? Decent facial hair if they can grow it, somewhat groomed if they can't. Decent sense of style, it doesn't have be be unique or groundbreaking, just comfortable and presentable. I'm talking about men who can't get laid and attempt to improve themselves to be successful in dating women. Sometimes their efforts cater to what they believe is attractive in other men, and not the aspects females actually find attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/21 03:16 PM
1

I dislike the whole 'lookist' ideology, but honestly it sometimes boils down to men internally seeking validation from other men. Men who consider themselves ugly believe they do not fit the male gaze of attractiveness. The female gaze is what they should focus on when trying to better themselves if their main goal is to get a partner. I'm not saying that's a healthy thing to do, but envying attractive men you believe are the unattainable goal isn't the most productive mindset. Female objective …

But marriage is also less common? Prenuptial agreements too? I would be heartbroken if my partner felt that way about me. We pay our own way, and split food, utility and rent. I think you have a bit of an outdated mindset in some regards. Many of the younger generation work for themselves and are much more applicable to separating finances. It leads to longer-lasting, genuine relationships. I'm sorry if women around you and your age gave you this mindset, but many of us actively work against it.

OK now I'm really curious, what's your opinion on just choosing to date women who take productive and career-driven college/university majors? and have good pay prospects? Because that's an increasing trend in many Western countries.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/21 08:43 AM

It could mean marriage too, but I immediately think of kids. It used to be 'have kids the right side of 30' meaning being close but under 30, and now it's more like 'waiting until you're at least 30'. Probably because marriage can be seen as redundant for many, but also careers take longer to solidify and study for. Women are also seen as 'older' then men at this time, so there is ideas of feeling forced into commitment and relationships once they hit their 30s. Personally I think a lot of those…

Women can have body image issues deeply ingrained into them. I know I still occassionally have the gut response of a judgemental or rude thought that I have to consciously breate myself for. But those insults or remarks come from my parents saying it first, by normalising that unconscious negative reaction. I'm not sure why a lot of people, in my experience older generations, immediately balk or tut at fashion or body shapes and presentations they are unfamiliar with. If I feel myself thinking '…

100 failed dates and 100 rejections are not similar. Theyre different issues with very different impacts, but I think they both need to be discussed. Yes, if you have 100 failed dates it means 100 people wanted to at least try and date you. However, if the majority of those dates consisted of men that only see you as a sexual conquest, and went on the date with the main intention of sex and nothing more, then that is still harmful for anyone. Nowhere in my reply did I suggest or make fun of anyone that chooses to do that, I simply stated that it is becoming harder to do because of our shitty culture and economic ability. If that is the impression you got from my reply I'm sorry, but it sounds like you're projecting.

No, I'm just using terms a lot of people on here are familiar with. I don't think these ideas are uncommon or untrue. Choosing to be childless and career driven is one of the most notable ways to economically 'successful'. This directly contradicts a lot of standard expectations of having a family and a relationship. Personally, I've met a lot of people who don't care that I don't want children until they suddenly do? It's a major aspect that can break relationships and resolve to have long term…

I think its just going to get harder to have and maintain LTRs with the way our economies and societal expectations are going. Its strange, because so many people want children, it's in out nature to do so. I for one don't, and that's fine with me and I tell my partners in due course. However, the more men I speak to, the more it seems men don't want kids. Kids are expensive, and men are worth more when they have money. Women are worth more when they don't have kids, they maintain their jobs and…

I know this must be a pretty common idea for so many people to agree, but that's never been the case in my opinion? As a woman I do feel guilty or like I'm not good enough for someone if they can't get hard. Usually it's just wiskey dick or too many rounds and not enough recovery time. I think knowing your partner is comfortable and enthusiastic regardless of how they can perform sexually then you know you're not responsible for any "failure"? As for women I know arousal can be very different. I…

Gender roles are direct results of societal power, this is why they vary across cultures. I think its ignorant to argue that remnants of patriarchal power do not influence how we live today. Systemic solutions are needed, but those solutions cannot occur alongside maintaining or reinforcing these roles. Why do you believe men are expected to be successful in a different way to women? To be primary or sole providers? Those expectations and pressures that make many men feel inadequate or like fail…

Cases of male suicide have been heavily linked to the unrealistic expectations and pressures exerted onto men. Those ideas and gender roles are constructed by societal expectations and norms. These expectations stem from men exerting power and ownership of women and children in a famillial setting. Although we do not operate under those constraints anymore, the societal roles that formed from those patriarchal ways of living are embedded in why we expect what we do from men, and how they are act…

I think this is a really important point but some of the examples and logic used alongside them are a bit flawed. Firstly, when men make the effort to appeal to family courts for joint/sole custody they are actually likely to have it go in their favour. Secondly, these expectations pushed onto men are so harmful, we know this. But these expectations are pushed onto men in such a way that its almost a nessicity to perform these stereotypes. We need a society that does not demonise people who are …

This is pretty close to RP but I think you have a good point. Attractiveness is subjective and one person with a type and preference isn't likely to change that, especially for someone who is self-concious and feels entitled to attraction. The key word is subjective though. Some people are shallow and only want conventional good looks. Some people don't really care for looks as long as the personality is good. Most people fall somewhere in between. I personally like darker hair and can't stand h…

I feel like this take is just a bit ignorant to how a lot of women's minds work in relation to sex. Erotica is something I like to immerse myself in sometimes, but occasionally I kinda like porn? If I'm in a specific mood and can't be bothered to envision something myself, or if I find an actor/actress particularly attractive, I might watch it. This might not be universal but one weird action, noise or line of shit acting will take me out of the sexy mood immediately. Erotica doesn't do that, an…

I mean, I find some people boring regardless of their gender. I find sports dull, I can't really relate to people who hate learning or are really non-acedemic, I dislike petty celebrity drama and people who are obsessed with films. That's just preference, it's not gender based. Some of my hobbies are male dominated, some are female. I have friends that complement both and I have friends that are polar opposite. I think you're projecting how you think promiscuous people look at you. If they don't want to have sex with you, they're usually indifferent and move onto someone they desire. Any sensible person understands that we all have different sex drives, preferences and capabilities. You can't force people to be independently promiscuous. Fucking whoever you want doesn't make you selfish if it takes 2 to tango yknow? We let them live and they do the same, respect can easily fit in there.

I'm 5'9 and my partner is 6'4 so idk I've never thought about it? But I suppose its what they do with it, I would hope that even if my kids are dumb, short, poor and ugly they would still be semi-decent people? And have the capacity for common sense and decency? I don't think you can hypothetically consider the possible shortcomings of your children... unless you're a pessimistic person that is already conscious of those traits in yourself? So if you can have kids, so can they?

As mentioned in another reply, that was one instance from the top of my head. Any attribute you can think of has likely been glorified into a cultures beauty standard at one point or another. Its almost cyclical in nature, when too many people attain a level of beauty it looses value, and the goalposts shift in a different direction that takes time to be overstaurated. See androgynous style, into voluptuous shapes, into 'slim-thick' and so on. This is only an example for women, a smaller scale c…

Youre right in that healthy bodies are universally attractive. However, a lot of beauty standards we see today and in the recent past show that women who are thin to the point of being unable to have children have been glorified too. There are multiple instances of unnatural modifications being attractive. Look at nose, lip and neck stretching in some tribal communities, some cultures have tattoos, some sharpen their teeth and nails. Some are morbidly obese too, especially in areas where food is…

It was an example, my point is there is a lot of cultural variation across history when concerning beauty, I wasn't just talking about women either. Being fat, thin, pale, tanned and all other oddities are attractive to those conditioned to believe so

Honestly, historically it wasn't even fit healthy bodies. Look at renesance art! Beautiy standards have evolved and changed to benefit what is profitable and unattainable. Today, people are much more self-centered and comparative with their looks (social media and all that shit) so they will pay for anything they believe will set them above the majority
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/21 03:20 PM

Sexual liberation revolves around the liberty of choice. It is inevitable that this would be steered by capitalist beauty standards in order to maximise profit and make people believe that what they are told to want is what they actually want. Its unfortunate for anyone not naturally gifted with attributes that fit these standards, but that is the point. The more people want to reach a goal that becomes more and more inattainable, the more profit there is to be made. Gym memberships, diet supple…

You cannot call beauty standards that benefit you, but may not benefit others, 'reasonable'. That implies standards that do not benefit you are unreasonable? Standards are always going to be unattainable for some, thats why they are popular and why they sell? You can't just take issue with things that don't benefit you, Asians would likely say the same about Western standards that can fetishise them?

I mean, even someone who has committed relationships isn't conventionally monogamous. Prolonged and multiple instances of monogamous relationships is not mating for life. Its polygamous in the sense that you are capable of forming multiple romantic and sexual relationships, or 'serial monogamy' Female attraction is based on appearance and beauty standards too? So I'm not sure what the point was there, their standards are just different and benefit those that look western. Apes have no concept of…

As a woman, its always been for having fun. I like feeling invisible in clubs and getting drunk, making a tit of myself with friends and just being in an uplifting and chaotic kinda. That environment is basically the polar opposite of any place I would want to find a hookup. Society historically functioned very different to how it does now. We know monogamy isn't natural, basically nobody practices it without influence to do so. Hypergamy cannot be practiced by one gender and not expected from the other, the numbers don't work like that. Everyone gets one life and aim to live it to the uptmost standard. If that means sleeping around, settling down with someone you connect with, or think is best for you, then you will never be able to stop that. Men and women who end…

Youre right. From that I just don't see how many can site and source these statistics that come from a culture they are unwilling to change. You can't blame another person for not being attracted to you, just as you can't change who you're attracted to. The constant use of the 20/80 shit and women holding power over men literally only works in a sexual selection process. Ok, this article does not support your argument. It first goes on to describe how rape and subsequent false accusations are incredibly hard to define, let alone quantify. Rape is most commonly reported and then disregarded as not enough evidence is provided for authorities to confirm a rape did happen, or that it was fabricated. Both instances can be very hard to prosecute without concrete evidence. There are also multiple instances of the authors of each study emphasising the over-estimation of…

False accusations make up an incredibly small percentage of reported rape. Just because womens issues are more systemic does not downplay your personal issues, I think understanding that some issues men face are more personal that systemic can create this ignorance on a level. I believe in statistics too. Some very telling ones have come from the UK as of recent. Humans want intimacy and social relations, that does not mean you are entitled or obligated to them. I don't like thinking of myself as a victim, but when I was groped in my school uniform at 12 I felt like one. Sex is worth more to women. I find it bizzare that some men get genuinely angry and hateful towards women and the fact they are more selective with their partners. From a female perspective, a strong and aggressive man definitely comes across as a protector. If you're someone, much like your friend, who has had traumatic events stem from feeling weak, its understandable why her trauma would push her to find that strength in a partner. Yeah I agree to an extent. I think this explains the grey area of rape and coerced sex, in my experience. Coercing someone into sex can have multiple meanings, I'm talking about a partner knowing how to push your buttons and get you in the mood when that 'lizard brain' response can rear its head, even when you want to have sex. I think this may explain why a lot of men cannot differentiate between 'try harder bc I do wanna have sex and my body and brain aren't cooperating' and 'I don't want to h…

There are many instances outside of sex where men are entitled or expected to be able to act certain ways. There are other examples where the same can be said for women, however, those social prescriptions that are implied for women can be immensely more oppressive as a whole. Im not saying men do not experience this, but if you think entitlement goes both ways we wouldn't have such a rape issue.

Nah, unsatisfied career focused individuals are always miserable and unpleasant, I don't think that is a gender thing. The gender thing comes in due to the fact miserable women are more jarring for most people, as they break typical feminine expectations. Its possible that they are recognised more than men of a similar situation.
