Why did you bother asking, then?

I'm sorry, but having sex with an older guy is the key to the biggest bragging rights a girl her age can have. She will not keep her damn mouth shut on this.

17.. having sex with an older guy? She won't keep her mouth shut about it. The second some doofy-looking high school girl tells her older sister, there are no more adult women in your future.

This. The point is to give compliments that mean something, not to seem smarmy.

It's like the TV in poltergeist. Don't look at the dance floor, don't enter the dance floor. You can't talk to a girl there anyway.

Still not as good as my favorite. "Hey pretty lady. I just thought I'd come over and introduce myself because you look like the kind of woman that I'd like to have sex with."

Confidence is basically just a surrogate for other things. I think that many women cite that they like "confident" men, because they don't want to say that they like the things that make those men confident.. being tall, good looking, already successful with women. Many women would never admit to being attracted to that.. it would appear shallow! So, you've got this "confidence" thing.. something that anybody could achieve with work. Faked confidence is a great tool, though, and anybody can do i…

They don't want her to be a registered sex offender.. just think of what that could do to her!

So, what's your problem exactly? Most guys would kill for your sex life. You're trying to take it to the next level? It doesn't sound like your height is a problem at all. 30 or so partners isn't exactly bad, it's actually quite good. If you're looking to take it to the next level, blaming your height just sounds completely backwards.

How many women have you slept with and how old are you? Do you find that women just come up to you and talk to you? Just talk back to them. They want to have sex with you.

Come the hell on, dude. You can be a total dork and pick up girls if you look like that.

Cool. It might take a bit, because I'm not sure where those videos go. I only have a couple of educated guesses. Okay, I've found out that the video is called "Sex Week at Yale the film", and it was only done the year that Matador was here.
/r/seduction30/09/10 06:10 PM

It was a Yale Sex Week thing. I don't think that they've ever posted it online, but they did video record it, and I might be able to find the dvd. I'll pass it on if I can find it.

Yeppo, just noticed the rest of this thread. I think we should lobby him to be a mod of /r/seduction.

This is all "outside the box thinking," and some of this stuff isn't exactly guaranteed to work. What if she blew up at him for doing this on camera? It would be an epic failure.
/r/seduction29/09/10 02:57 AM
6

No, dude. If they were following the Mystery Method or any of those related methods, then they were screwed before they started. (And they clearly were). In both MM and The Game, it clearly states that canned openers and cold approach techniques were made to help guys who are often clearly blown out long before they even make an attempt at picking them up get a chance to spend enough time with them to show that they are valuable, interesting people. Throwing in things like time constraints and s…

He's posted once or twice mentioning involvement in the PUA community, and mentioned casually that he was mentioned in The Game, so I asked him who he was. We had a nice conversation over private messages, but I don't think that he's publicly identified himself, so I don't think that I should either.

Get you to come out there under one pretense, then have something else entirely when you get there. Like when a furniture store has a "going out of business" sale, or a "liquidation" of their assets. They're a freaking furniture store, there's no next model year coming for most of the stuff they keep in stock. You get out there looking for a $100 sofa, and all that they have are $1000 sofas, but they got you into the store. But, to flip it out there. All of these techniques are intended to make …
/r/seduction28/09/10 06:08 PM

Yeah.. basically. It worked because the guy is a guy who already gets girls. If even an average guy did it to the wrong girl, he might get arrested or something. The world's a bad place, and having girls tell you what guys that they're already interested in have managed to do is of interest, but not indicative of a good pickup tactic.
/r/seduction16/09/10 06:33 AM
-2

No dude.. you screwed up. Yes marriage is basically a bad proposition from a legal standpoint, but your girlfriend has to be on the same page as you for something like that. From her point of view, you didn't trust her to not be like those other women, and didn't love her.

Well, you're never going to get her, so, stop trying. If she comes around, it won't be a "pickup", and it'll probably be after she's had a few boyfriends and whatnot. So, it's best to move on, lest you establish yourself firmly as a chump with her, and/or with yourself.
/r/seduction27/08/10 06:30 PM
8

If you've never gotten a woman by being an asshole, then you've never been frustrated, said "this works" and just done it. It's not the same as pickup techniques, but it does work.

Sure thing. I'm trying to be helpful, not critical.
/r/seduction24/08/10 06:23 AM

You spent a bunch of time with her without attempting to escalate the situation sexually. The general principle is to escalate quickly. That aside, you haven't really given enough details to explain why.. but, basically, if you're behaving like a really nice guy to explain all of her relationship drama with all of the guys she's hooking up with to, then that's how she'll treat you. But, all of that aside, all of this, "I want to date her" stuff. Why? What's so special about her?

He's talking about things like "clicking", chemistry, yadda yadda, and misreading obvious "I'm not interested" signals. He talks about being her boyfriend despite never having had any real sexual relationship with this girl. (Not, oh man, I want to get with that.. boy, I want to be the boyfriend of this girl.. totally out of the blue.) I'm going to have to disagree with both of you. He's in AFC territory and hasn't taken proper stock of the situation, but I think that lookatmeimskinny is closer …

"sounds like you are just interested in fuck buddies..and lucky for you, I have an open slot I could pencil you into" Yes... that's completely consistent with a sort of low-key offhandedness that doesn't make you sound like you've been putting a huge amount of effort into getting into her pants. It just screams the sort of in control, non-desperate, has other things going on, has other women interested, "hey, I'm here with you because I enjoy you for qualities other than your vagina" qualities t…

I don't think that posting this sort of thing to relationship advice is a good idea at all. I think that you'll get mostly bad advice. Anyway, being one of her "closer friends" when you barely know her means that you're in the friend zone and she wants you to know it. If you're spending time with her, and hope to get her, you're wasting your time. Go do something else. Also, this whole "I want to date her" stuff is very AFC. And figuring out your "chemistry" and stuff. Those things are code-word…

It's fine to do. The point of cold approach pickup techniques is to avoid doing this, but it's a perfectly fine way of doing things.
/r/seduction21/08/10 11:29 AM
4

If you always do cocky-funny stuff, you will come across as arrogant. There is a reason that this stuff is for cold approaches. You can only be over-the-top sometimes. When you first meet someone in a high-energy place, like a club, it's fine. It breaks the ice and makes you seem like the sort of person who would just randomly approach someone. If you do stupid stuff like always phrase every invite you give to someone in a way that doesn't really give them a choice, or try to force yourself into…
/r/seduction12/08/10 10:47 PM
3

Yes. It's fucking annoying to behave like that all of the time. It just helps you put on an air of "confidence" around strangers. That's why these techniques are for "cold approach" pickup rather than people that you know. This stuff works in one setting and only in that setting. Also, setting the precedent that you'll basically be hitting on every female that your friends bring around you or will wreck your buddy's game is a sure way to make sure that your friends disenjoy the time that they sp…
/r/seduction12/08/10 10:41 PM

I thought that he handled that whole thing really well. The idea of pickup artistry is something that's easy to attack, so, audiences basically are prepared to hammer at him. Then the whole "oh, here do this technique on the spot" bit.. of course a woman isn't going to go "oh, yes, this thing that we've already deemed to be trickery worked on me" on camera. He did really well.

Yes.. this title is idiotic. The article is also not very good. "Women are victimized because they've outperformed men..." come the heck on! Since when is how I conduct my sex life something that I have to do according to someone else's standards?
/r/seduction23/06/10 10:20 PM

Or for just giving bad advice. I imagine that most of the men who take /r/relationship_advice will end up in relationships with controlling women who hook up with other guys on the side, and will spend most of their lives justifying this to themselves.

What if she thinks that you're convenient, and talks to girls about how you can never find a date, and wouldn't it be nice if some girl liked you? How you're a great guy, but a geek who's awful with women.
/r/seduction08/06/10 12:58 AM
1

She has to behave like it, and not every woman will do well at that. If you have a girl around who CAN'T behave like she's preselected you.. who behaves like you're 2nd place to someone else, THAT guy gets the girl. So, you've got this girl who thinks that you make a great CB, but you're not much of an alpha.. and you're not telling her explicitly to help you sarge... or even if you are, but she just won't play along when the chips are down.
/r/seduction08/06/10 12:33 AM

A pivot girl needs to act like she's interested in you. I had a girl who wanted to be my pivot girl, but I told her no. She was so into my friend, that having her around was positively toxic to my game. She got pretty upset over this, but the fact is that a girl who is going to behave more interested in other men when out and around you is a lousy pivot.

Pretty much all you need to do is show up. The social impetus is entirely on men to approach you. Most women seem to "drop hints", but you shouldn't be surprised if guys don't pick up on them. If a dude assumes that he's in the friend-zone with you, he's not going to bother.

Right... but STYLE'S system is to break down what you think is wrong with yourself and improve it, while studying while you think is good about yourself to insert into a method such as MM. Whereas MM is "first say this, then say that."
/r/seduction28/01/10 09:36 PM
1

If you summarize MM, then summarize StyleLife, I think that you'll find that you've got 2 different things.. since MM is "these are the steps to an interaction" and StyleLife is "identify your weak points... how can you improve?"
/r/seduction23/01/10 12:47 AM

Style's whole system is about self-improvement. MM is a method.

I think that beyond basic human dignity, you should respect your partner and their decisions. Political correctness aside, if you find your girlfriend dis-respectable in some way, you shouldn't feel obligated to continue the relationship. I'm not sure that I find having a prostitute girlfriend far-flung from having a girlfriend who sleeps around while dating you. Not all people are down with that, and I certainly wouldn't feel any ire for a guy who broke up with his girlfriend because she caries…

We could go one further than that, and get the girl to make a confession on the part of the craigslist girl, pretending to be her.
/r/MensRights07/08/09 07:10 PM

I think that we should get her contact info and set up a sting operation. Like we meet her in a bar and get some girl to talk rape fantasies with her, and the girl's wearing a wire.

I'm not sure what this has to do with men's rights. It's entirely possible that he raped her. The men's rights violation would come in when it turns out that it was all a lie, or something like that... we don't know yet what will happen in this case, and it may turn out that he's a rapist.
/r/MensRights06/07/09 04:56 AM

Ditto. Nothing to do with MR, but I'd rather know what kind of a woman I'd married and go about rectifying the matter than not know.

Hey, I think that all sorts of things are manly... don't fall to pieces on me and start crying again just because I have a hobby that you don't. I'm sure that plenty of girls think that whatever knitting and crocheting you're up to are quite manly. Yes they do!

I'm all for boys having positive male role-models and being raised to be unashamed of their masculinity... but what the heck was that? I've worn socks with sandals before, learned French in school... and wrestle, and backpack, and lift, and shoot guns, and all of that.

I wouldn't call it the most logical area of psychology, but firefly is right. This is hardly a men's rights issue. Evolutionary psych gives us the dads and cads hypothesis, and says that women use sex as a bargaining chip for protection from loser males that they'll cuckold with alphas that they want to mate with so that they can carry their children.

Aside from the sentencing seeming kind of light, I'm not sure how this relates to men's rights. To be a men's rights issue, we'd have to see that women in this situation receive unusually light treatment. I mean, she's in jail, what more do we want here?

The idea was that the men were somehow going to survive anyway. Like, the boat would go down, and the men would be able to swim to the rafts after they'd been dropped. Since they were on the open ocean, the assumption was that they were going to sit in the rafts floating around until help found them, anyway. Since the entire shipping economy was based on sea-faring vessels, this wasn't a terribly outrageous proposition, given that they would be following the same routes, and that the routes were…
/r/MensRights03/08/08 08:45 PM

That's not it at all. The idea was that the men were better able to fend for themselves in the event of an emergency and that the women and children needed to be cared for. I'm not saying that this is a very equal idea, but it certainly comes from an era when women were not considered able to do this. Children obviously can't.

Eh, I didn't think it was all that great. First, the role of men in Disneys' films seems to be more reflective of culture than the other way around. Second, the top billing is almost always the heroine. Belle in beauty and the beast, Snow White, yadda yadda, the male protagonists are hardly memorable for the most part. Third, many of the examples are poorly chosen and make it seem as though he's reaching for his topic. Gaston was the antagonist in Beauty and the Beast, though it is true that the…
