This is my second one. No, I don't have much Christmas spirit. I'm trying to be open-minded. It's not going to be as sad as the first one. The first one was quite painful. I am alone for this one. And that could change. I am planning on volunteering somewhere on the holiday. If you're struggling, you're not alone. I'm always available for DM. It's nice to meet you all here.

The biggest mistake I made was getting married. It's over now she didn't cheat that I know of. Never again. I'm sorry your going thru this . It's been almost 2 years after the divorce for me. Great news is I never have to do it again.

It comes and goes with me. The last two years have been rough. I appreciate your honesty. The divorce I went thru two years ago broke my spirit. It's getting better, but I have times where no human contact is my best option. I go for long motorcycle rides. I ride alone or mountain bike rides alone. It's been my only release. Your not alone. Nice to meet you here.

I let her go. No lawyers, no fight . I didn't want any of this but she was done. Only reason I ever got was I fell out of love. I gave her whatever she wanted and signed papers. Our home sold she didn't come after my pension. I did not mess with hers. It's been two years. Anything I lost financially, I have recovered. I'm working two jobs by choice. She moved out of town and has remarried as of last week. I bought a new place and have no interest in marriage or even dating. I think some of it is…

I'm sorry your going thru this. It was a terrible day. I doubt I will ever forget . Leaving my forever home and everything we went thru to own it and take care of it. Driving away was the absolute worst. It's coming up on two years now. I won't ever drive thru that neighborhood again it's 7 miles from me. I don't have any words for you other than I understand losing her and starting a whole new life I didn't want alone. I am alone by choice I can't go thru that again. The risk is to high for me.…

Stay away from the booze and drugs. I never thought for one second I would be divorced. I loved my wife. We had everything without problems. Before mine happened I watched some of my friends really close friends go thru it. They chose to drink hang out at strip clubs to play the party life. Chase women on and on. It's ended badly for all 3 of them burned thru money hook up with unstable women who were only going to be there till the money ran out. DUi wrecked cars it was not and did not look tha…

Nice to meet you too. It will be 2 years in December. The frist year was extremely hard . I still wake up and look for her. I married a good girl. A good person. I don't know what changed for her but it's been a big loss for me. I never imagined my life without her in it. But it's happened I have to remain calm I'm not in charge and keep going.

I didn't ask for either. I just told them it's going to be ok. My kids are grown and married and doing well. I'm working 2 jobs by choice. Free time is not my friend. I came out of retirement when she asked me for the divorce. Only thing I keep telling myself No one is coming to save me. Do it yourself . Be polite. Everything happens for a reason.

I downsized tremendously for the same reason. I moved into my new place with my cat and her food and water dish. I donated every bit of clothing she ever bought me. Sold off artwork and jewelry anything connected to her or us. That life is over. I don't hate her, but I don't need memories they haunted me badly the first year. I'm glad she moved 3 hours away. I don't want to see her. So no I did the same thing. Restart its my life now.

I have not spoken to her in over a year . I don't hate her I don't want anything bad to happen to her. My.kids are grown and married their doing very well.my grandkids come camping 3 of them are surfing now that's all I worry about anymore. What she is doing is none of my business anymore. I could call but why? I don't see any point . You had to go go in peace.

I hear what your saying and thank you. I'm gonna hard pass on that. I just started smiling again recently, lol. I'm not interested at all in sticking my neck out. Or adjusting my life and time for anyone anymore. At the end of the day it's jumping thru someone's hoop again. Fuck that I won't not for a four letter word. It's not worth my time. I would rather go surfing after work or ride my motorcycles and keep my money. It's a business deal and the terms suck. I'm out

I'm 63 it's very quiet. It's all changed. I went back to work. I have spent the last year working on my new place. It's hard to run into all the old friends we hung out with as a couple. It's been a year and half for me. All I can say is one day at a time and I will never go thru the divorce thing again. I would rather saw thru my ankle with a butter knife than marry again

Yes, I have. My divorce. It is about a year and half ago also. Start small, just go out. You don't have to meet anyone. I started with going to movies alone. Attend some big events alone. I have done a few concerts. A few plays. My objective was just to get out in the crowd. I camp and ride dirt bikes. I found a meet-up group and camped with them in the desert recently. I have met some new people, nothing more than friends, but I was not talking to anyone for months after my divorce. I checked o…

I'm 62, and it's been a year since the divorce. My forever home has been sold . She has moved away and I have not seen her since last Feb. I was retired at the time. I have gone back to work. Full time and picked up a part-time job a few nights a week and weekends. I kept my old hobbies, and I'm trying the guitar. I spend time with friends. Camp surf or ride my motorcycles whenever I can fit them in. I dont sit a lot. I keep moving. Spend a lot of time alone. If I'm not at work, I'm doing someth…

Restoring old travel trailers. Racing again in the hare and hound desert races. Built 5 custom go carts for the grand kids. Taken them up and down the California Cost camping and surfing. It's all different now after the divorce it's been a year. I'm not gonna lie to you. I still miss her. But after her walking out with no real reason than. I fell out of love. I'm never going back. I'm glad she moved out of town. I don't ever want to see her again. It's over.

That was my thought one year and 5 days ago. After 17 of marriage. She told me she was not in love with me anymore. I had no idea she was thinking about leaving. To this day ,that was the only thing she told me. This year sucked, and I didn't have an ugly divorce. I signed the papers. And moved my forever home belongs to someone else now. She took her cut and moved away . I don't hate her, but I am glad she moved . We have not talked since the house sold. Last February I was retired at the time.…

Yes, I am 62 she fell out of love after 17 years? We did not have any problems money, sex, fighting nothing. She told me Dec 2. My home has sold. I have moved. Gone back to work. I have heard nightmare divorce stories here and in my circle of friends. I was very lucky, I guess, walked out with a lot. Bought her out of our rental home. No lawyers, no fighting. She didn't try and hurt me in any way. I did the same. I don't believe I will be that lucky again. I feel like I jumped thru a lot of hoops …

It's been 5 months for me. I came out of retirement when she told me . Picked up a full-time day job and a part-time night job. Did that days after she asked me for the divorce. I have read stories here and from friends that went thru hell during the process. I did not she was fair and kept her word. I was blindsided. Maybe I'm stupid, and we had no problems. No money problems, no sex problems, no fighting. No cheating. We did everything together. Had plenty of common interests. And she woke up …

My divorce is very recent, still pending the final stage. I was blindsided we had no money or sex issues. No infidelity. I woke up in the house we both bought as a rental property. I will be the sole owner shortly. I bought her out of it. And it's a nice place. I don't have an answer to your question. My plan is to go on. The great news is I never have to marry again. I worked hard and gave her my best. She fell out of love after 17 years, she told me. So we have no future. She is becoming someo…

I'm pretty new to this divorce. Mine has not actually finished. I was blindsided after 17 years she looked at me on Dec 2 and gave the "I love you but I'm not in love with you. We did not have money or sex problems. I thought she was my ride or die. It was crushing for me. She told me there was no hope for us and filed. No hate, no lawyers, we are in the cooling period. I moved my home sold quickly. we split it and divided everything. She moved out of town last tuesday. I can't carry hate around…

Going with the first option it's not worth the time or risk. I was lucky in my marriage she wanted it to be as peaceful and fair as possible. It is almost over, and she kept her word. I don't feel I'm going to be that lucky again. And it was still an awful experience. I will never give anyone the power to tear down something I worked so hard for. I didn't fall out of love. I didn't break my vows. I was involved for the 17 years we were married. We had no money or sex problems. I jumped thru ever…

Thanks, I am at the end of my divorce. The house sold she is moving out of town. Compared to the nightmares I have read about here about divorce. Mine was not ugly. . I was blindsided. All I got was I love you, but I'm not in love with you. I am leaving. I was devastated, but what can you do. We never fought,no money problems, no sex problems 17 years later you gotta go? OK, I have moved into a rental house. we both own still feel like I was thrown away. But she is letting me buy her out instead…
