Youre arguing against a condition for which WNBA players are not fighting. They aren’t asking to make as much as NBA players. Definition of a straw man. Also I think it’s kinda beautiful that even in your own metaphor you kind of incapsulate the the justification of a misogynistic status quo… that blade of grass has been continuously mowed down yet that tall oak tree has been allowed to grow unchanged for years.

Straw man. They aren’t asking for the same outcome. They are asking to be compensated to the same degree as the men of their sport. This whole WNBA isn’t profitable nonsense is misogynistic justification and an argument that’s antiquated at best. The ratings for women’s college basketball have only grown recently, specifically because of girls like Caitlin.

Y’all can talk about how they’re not as profitable but they don’t have the same licensing rights as the men either. If someone buys a Caitlin Clark jersey, she gets zero kickback for that purchase. There’s a lot more nuance into how their CBA is considerably worse than NBA players even when factoring in the disparity in the league’s profitability.
