Judging by subs like " waiting to wed" , and books like Marcia c inhorns book "The Mating Gap", as well as the Guttentag-Secord theory, articulated in their 1983 book "Too Many Women?" It's proof enough that men hold the cards and gatekeep marriages, even as women will ascend financially. Women should adjust to men's preferences or get left behind.

Thanks for asking. I've been in so much turmoil over this. I was deeply, deeply immensely in LOVE with this girl in high school. We were classmates. We followed each other for a few years after high school, but recently she blocked me on socials. I haven't been able to recover since. It feels like a gut punch. She was the perfect girl.
