Easier said than done but stay strong man especially for your boy …. You’ve got this I promise …. Wake up everyday with a mission to make it better than the day before…. Keep job searching and when you do get that job WORK HARD … Raise your son and all things will fall into place

“Classic Narcissist” couldn’t have summed it up any better….. Two years post divorce from what I’ll call 12 years of a very very valuable lesson… very much similar background story as MonkeyBranchBuster, we dated in high school after college moved back to my hometown we rekindled she seemed to be my soulmate in the early years I fell in love with unbeknownst to me a Classic Narcissistic… dude my best advice to you is take it for what it is be thankful for the learning experience, and to not have…

The kids will forever be my reasoning for why I stayed in the situation so long… they need us more than they will ever know…. My advice is to for us to keep being the best dad’s we can be and stay single live freely in the end the kids will always remember “Dad”

Great comment …. Got me thinking of all who have told me the exact “get comfortable being alone”…. As I’m 1 year post divorce and think it’s time I do something other than coming home and talking to my two dogs everyday… Also will be purchasing the book(Gatekeepers) you referenced as well… Salute and thanks

Time …. Time…. And more TIME….you will never forget the memories or “get over” them …. As far as your soon to be Ex wife the emotional attachment will slowly but surely fade away just try to stay positive and maybe get back to the things you love , any hobbies ? Workout, read , write , watch movies etc…..just focus on doing what makes you happy and being the best father you could be to your child

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
