Not at all. Women write it off as just a minority of weirdos.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 08:27 PM

So what’s your point?? You think psycho incels shooting up schools have helped women understand more broadly the reality of the dating world for men? No, if anything I think most women believe something closer to “there are some chronically online psycho incels, and then there are the vast majority of men who are probably doing just fine getting attention they want from women”.

Who said anything about legislation? Legislation won’t fix anything. I think it’s more appropriate to teach women how absurd their standards really are. We need to talk about this issue more as a society as I genuinely think most women are completely unaware. Plenty of average and even above average SMV women are already open to dating less attractive men, and are capable of being truly attracted to them if there’s a genuine connection. I think many more women would be if this issue was taught &…

Society should change for the good of everyone, not for the sake of one woman’s “precious boy”. If all men suddenly decided that only the hottest women who are super fit, had big breasts, with bubbly feminine personalities and no older than 25 were considered hot, and all other women were seen as complete non-options romantically, I guarantee society would be in an uproar. And we’d also be a lot worse off.

Oh please. You’re reaching so hard. What parent wouldn’t be concerned if their kid was unable to have a dating life through their entire adult life?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 05:11 PM

Not at all. She is responsible for herself being a dick, I am responsible for my choice of response. Is this your first time witnessing an angry argument? This is kind of how they all work
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 03:11 PM

Also, again, YOU’RE the one who didn’t respond to ME in the other convo. And somehow I’m the bad guy for arguing with a disingenuous woman elsewhere? Which one of us 2 is on a witch hunt or “looking for a villain”?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 02:59 PM

Now where did that come from 🧐 When did I avoid responsibility for my behavior?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 02:47 PM

No, this is my response to a disingenuous POS who deserves the same level of respect & good faith as she gave me

“Dignity” like the 4b chick I was replying to had, right? 😂 I don’t know what more you want from me in that birthrate conversation, considering you didn’t respond to me

It seems you must have missed the extremely disingenuous comment I was replying to. It’s okay, we all make mistakes
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 08:19 AM

Can’t speak for all men, but I’d rather be SA’d multiple times a year for the rest of my life than continue being undesirable romantically
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 08:11 AM

I can feel you seething and I love it 😂 add in a few more exclamation marks. You’re exactly who I’m writing about.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 08:09 AM

Yes exactly, which types of views do u mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 05:33 AM

Can you expand on your last sentence? I’ve seen a huge variety of views from women on this subreddit
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 05:25 AM

Except in 2025 there are countless progressive men who have listened intently to women explaining every nuanced struggle they deal with in today’s society. You think men can relate to those issues? No, but many of us listen, learn, and take it with us through life because that’s what is right. I have almost never seen women do the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 05:17 AM

I truly think most women are completely clueless to the issues men face. I have many genuine well-meaning female friends, and apart from my sister, I’ve never met a woman who even has an inkling of understanding as to what the dating landscape looks like for men. In fact, even online, this subreddit is the only place I’ve seen women truly understand
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 04:25 AM
5

Are you saying most men would agree with this? Or are you saying “deep down” this is enough for most men, even if they think otherwise?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 02:23 AM
4

What do you think would happen next? As a result Edit: regarding the relationship dynamic between men & women
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 01:36 AM

No
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 01:16 AM
12

Nah. Plenty of these guys desire more than just a feminine meat hole for sexual release.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 12:57 AM
1

Exactly I mostly agree 🔥that’s why I said that talking point is a copout
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 12:11 AM
7

I’m friends with plenty of progressive women and they don’t call men incels for not interacting with women. The traits you’re describing sound more fitting for a “divine feminine” bioessentialist woman. I do know some women who’d call themselves “progressives” and might act like what you’re describing, but they don’t really care much about politics. I wouldn’t say this is a common trait among progressives or even your stereotypical blue-haired progressive college chick
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 11:51 PM
51

I may be wrong but I think many of these women would say the takeaway is that men need to find purpose in their lives and decenter women. A pretty obvious copout, but this is the answer I’ve heard many times
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 11:40 PM
1

When I say “women’s standards are absurdly high” I don’t mean they’re just arbitrarily or even consciously choosing higher standards in most cases. I know their attraction threshold is higher, this is what I mean
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 09:12 PM

Are there really men out there trying to explain these struggles to women whom they just met and are trying to pursue romantically?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 07:38 PM
3

Exactly. Women’s standards are absurdly high. That’s why I asked my question. So consider the hypothetical I posted. Would that be a moral failure on the part of men?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 07:33 PM
3

Is that a joke? That’s absolute nonsense, or else this subreddit wouldn’t exist. Women feeling societal pressure to be pretty is not the same thing as men doing what I described. An average woman will absolutely be seen as attractive by plenty of men regardless whether she conforms to the standards I laid out. The same is not true for men. Women are closer to behaving that way - that’s what this entire thread (and essentially all of PPD) is about.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 03:00 PM

Oh there’s nothing passive or aggressive about it, I’m also just pointing out the obvious

The reason OP made this post is because women so commonly assert the opposite.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 07:41 PM
6

The way I understand it, a k-pop idol could potentiallyyy have a chad-tier face, and Henry Cavill would generally be considered to have one. The main criteria seems to be having no individual negative facial features (for example, some criteria I’ve seen most commonly referenced are absolutely no recession of the maxilla, good jaw/bigonial width, and hooded eyes with little to no upper eyelid exposure). You could be considered very attractive or hot if you don’t conform to the criteria fully, bu…

Spot on 🙌🏼
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 05:35 PM
6

At least in the looksmaxxing community, the emphasis is placed on having an attractive face (i.e. specific features, certain facial harmony ratios/ranges, etc.), and then being tall is usually seen as the next most important factor (though far less important than having a top tier face). Being a “chad” by their idea means being among the 2-3 best looking men in the whole club on a Friday night using the previous description. Using their reasoning, if the majority of girls say they don’t necessar…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 04:53 PM
12

The definition of entitlement is being frustrated that you can’t have something that you want? You need a dictionary and a break from Reddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 02:55 PM
18

Do you think there would be any moral issue if men collectively decided to raise their standards so that only super fit beautiful women with big breasts, bubbly feminine personalities, no older than 25 were considered attractive, and all other women were completely ignored romantically? This is a hypothetical of course it would never happen. But I’m curious to hear your answer Edit: anyone downvoting me without answering my question is simply bitter that I pointed out a double standard
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 02:53 PM
6

The way I’ve seen it broken down in some of these circles, “Chad” is literally just a reference to the top 1-2% best-of-the-best looking, most attractive guys. Not any reference to a specific “type”, just very good looking
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 02:41 PM
1

Arguing semantics is essentially arguing over linguistics & the meanings of words. You were confused about what the word “extra” means, so I was correcting you
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:47 PM
0

Notice how OP has not replied to a single comment. Even she knows how terrible this post is LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:44 PM
1

That’s just semantics. If you go from doing no chores to doing a normal amount of chores, you are now doing “extra” chores relative to before
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:27 PM
1

Ah, here we go again with the “men just want a feminine meat hole for sexual release and then they’d be happy” rhetoric. Y’all want so badly for it to be that simple so you can stay stuck in your thinking
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:21 PM
0

Come on. OP & every upvoter: y’all know very well this post is ridiculous. Pure ragebait
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/25 06:52 PM
10

So by your logic, you should keep the same energy if men collectively decided that only size 0 women who are fit, no older than 25, with big breasts and bubbly personalities are attractive, and no other women were considered even worth pursuing
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/25 11:35 PM
9

You missed the point. If you’re an average woman, plenty of men will still find you attractive - you just won’t be hot enough to have a bunch of simps or get (as much) free stuff. If you’re an average man, the same is NOT true. The “rules” that the OP points out are basically a tax that women put on the majority of their dating options for not being hot enough, because the standards have gotten so high that the average man is seldom considered attractive at all
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 05:27 PM
1

I agree, and you’re right it’s important to note that.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 04:02 AM
6

Exactly. The way it was phrased in the comment I replied to, it made it sound like lonely men simply just want a feminine meat hole for physical release & then they’d be happy
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/25 07:58 PM

“Exclusion often applies to those who are radicalized to the extremes in terms of how they navigate dating and sex.” I’m sure this is true for the most chronically online misogynist-type incels & the like, but I don’t think this makes up a significant % of the men who can’t get a date. I think the majority of men who struggle with dating aren’t like that, and I think plenty of men who get lots of female attention are quite misogynistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/25 07:46 PM
11

If it were as simple as “wanting women to fuck them”, all these lonely men could just hire escorts en masse, and that would be that.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/25 07:30 PM
1

"And I don’t know what you mean by saying 'we shouldn’t imply that a young childless single woman who’s not obese is comparably rare to a tall, 6-figure single man. It’s not even close' It’s not an implication it’s a fact." Absolutely false. The numbers are not even close. Such men are FAR rarer than such women. We can run the numbers if you'd like, but your claim is false.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 05:47 AM
1

Well sure, if you do some statistical data tricks you can make any 2 demographics seem comparable, or tell any story you want to really. Subtract an inch here, add a few years to this bracket… I highly doubt that many RPers are in their 40s. Also we’re not filtering for thin women, we’re filtering for non-obese women (unless there’s another filter I’m missing for overweight; I only see an obesity filter). You’re right though - the idea that all men of all ages should all be able to date women wi…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 11:03 PM
1

Wait so RP logic says that men wouldn’t want to date any woman past her 20s?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 08:30 PM
1

And most men would date a 30 year old woman who’s not overweight
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 07:42 PM
1

These claims are misleading anyway. First of all, you lowered mens’ height criteria from 6’ to 5’11” - an enormous cutoff. Then also, you included married men in the criteria, the majority of whom would not be in the dating market anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:13 PM
1

That’s crazy, even if true. So much easier to be an above average woman than an above average man.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 01:47 PM
2

Are you implying that a 6 foot, 6 figures male engineer is the same level “above average” as any childless young woman of normal weight?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 01:57 AM
19

Combined with a “ugly men don’t care about women and only want sex” post. 2-for-1 combo! These women can’t help themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 01:00 AM
1

Not at all - you did make a generalization, and you are indeed a garbage human being
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 01:45 AM

No, I’m pointing out the generalizations that you made
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 01:43 AM

No, I admitted you never said “All men are lonely” or “all men are desperate for sex”. Keep up.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 01:41 AM

0 assumptions made, you sexist piece of human garbage. I addressed exactly what you said.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 01:36 AM

Hope you learn to stop generalizing ❤️
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 01:34 AM
2

Nowhere
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 01:16 AM
2

Unlike you, I’ve never made assumptions of what think - I’m making accurate judgements of you based on what you’ve said.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 01:03 AM
1

Why would I bitch instead of just clarifying what I meant? You’re simply a garbage human being that insists on making harmful generalizations of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 11:34 PM
2

I wasn’t imprecise at all - you just want to maintain the narrative that you have of men. I said I was lonely and then I explained exactly what I meant by that. You can throw a fit about my word choice & disagree with my use of “lonely”, but I maintain that word choice & was quite clear in what I meant. Same as the OP. Not much room here being left for assumptions about the meaning.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 11:31 PM
-1

I’m not discussing what men should or shouldn’t do to find the relationships they want. The point of my comment was to halt the notion that romantically lonely men are simplistic sex-drones with purely sexual impulses. I saw harmful rhetoric, so I called it out.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 10:39 PM
1

Nothing I said was disingenuous. I’m sure there are plenty of men who only want more sex, but any generalizing claims that romantically lonely men only want sex are simply harmful, and people spreading those claims are garbage human beings
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 10:36 PM
3

Truly… they want so badly for us to fit their narrative of “sex-hungry simplistic male”
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 10:33 PM
3

Regardless if that statement is true or not, men who say they’re romantically lonely aren’t just saying that they want sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 10:31 PM
3

May be true. My point is that men are not these drones with purely sexual urges/motivations that many women make them out to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 10:22 PM
11

Sex often goes hand-in-hand with romantic intimacy. Wanting a partner who has sex with you isn’t the same as being a sex-crazed creature who only values animalistic sexual impulses.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 09:34 PM
6

This tired old talking point needs to die already. No, I’m not using coded language to refer to “sex” when I say I’m lonely. I crave romantic emotional intimacy and connection. No matter how badly you want us to be sex-crazed drones, it doesn’t make it true. Go ahead, keep asserting otherwise. Don’t let me break the comfy little narrative you’ve set up for yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 09:33 PM

This is the obvious right answer. Not sure how this post even got upvoted this much - these women really are desperate to justify chasing physical attractiveness
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 08:38 PM
1

Many women would also agree with her. I saw immoral rhetoric in a comment, so I shut it down.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 07:48 PM
1

You keep replying to me about what men “should do” in order to get what we want. I’m not having a discussion about this, nor do I care for your input. I’m simply here to say that men feel romantic emotions deeper than sexual impulses, and that we don’t only want sex when we crave romance. Agree with that? Great, bye. Have another topic to discuss? Great, but find someone else - I won’t be discussing it with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 07:09 PM
1

Again, the woman I replied to before you derailed the conversation doesn’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 07:02 PM
1

Irrelevant to this conversation. It’s important to acknowledge that men are humans that feel romantic emotions deeper than just sexual impulses
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 06:57 PM
1

What are you saying “of course” to? Are you agreeing to go touch grass & stop being a garbage person? I don’t care what you think men should do. I’m simply saying that men don’t simply want sex when we say we’re lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 05:29 PM
1

Irrelevant to this conversation. I don’t care about your advice for men. Men feel romantic emotions and aren’t purely sex-driven.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 05:27 PM
1

You are choosing to ignore the fact that men want romance, feeding into the painting of men as animalistic sex drones, and using anecdotal reddit posts to justify your filth. Get outside, touch grass, and stop being a garbage human.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 05:22 PM
1

Men are unhappy and hurt by having their desires misrepresented by garbage human beings like you
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 05:17 PM
1

You are a genuinely bad person for trying to paint men as sex-hungry drones.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 05:16 PM
1

Figured. Pick and choose based on your emotions & biases. Carry on.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 05:04 PM
1

Women say that men belong in cages and don’t deserve human rights. Don’t you believe women?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 05:03 PM
1

So I repeat my last comment. “Most men don’t say the romance part”- so you say. Anecdotal. You are a genuinely bad person for trying to paint men as sex-hungry drones.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 04:46 PM
1

How are you so confident that the majority of men who say they’re lonely and crave romantic connections are simply saying that they just crave sex, and not everything else that comes with romantic intimacy?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 11:21 PM
1

No, we shouldn’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 11:16 PM
1

“Romantic relationships contain sex” =/= “men who say they’re lonely & crave romantic connections just want sex”
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 10:55 PM
1

Not at all. She was specifically stating that men who say they’re lonely are actually just saying that they want sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 10:33 PM
1

The woman I was replying to before you derailed the point of contention was literally implying the opposite. Keep up.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 10:24 PM
1

That was very much my point of contention from the start. You have a different one. I’m just silencing the notion that men who crave romance are simply horny.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 09:37 PM
1

Okay? I’m not discussing what I go around saying in everyday life. I’m not looking for a gf on this thread. I’m just silencing the notion that men who crave romance aren’t simply horny.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 09:19 PM
1

Yup. Did that in my first comment. Never denied that most romantic connections involve sex. I’m making the important point that I don’t simply mean I’m horny when I’m craving romantic connections.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 09:00 PM
1

No one here’s doing that. All I said on this thread is that I don’t simply want sex when I’m lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 08:46 PM
1

So you say. My only purpose here is to stop women from painting lonely men as simply being horny & wanting to fuck. All I said on this thread is that I don’t simply want sex when I’m lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 08:29 PM
1

I don’t care what you think is important. All I said on this thread is that I don’t simply want sex when I’m lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 08:09 PM
1

I’m not arguing about why I’m not getting offered romance, nor did I ask for your input. All I said on this thread is that I don’t simply want sex when I’m lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 06:50 PM
2

I never tried to flex with money.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 06:05 PM
1

And I’m saying that I don’t just mean I want sex when I say I’m lonely, no matter how bad y’all want us to be sex-crazed robots. Nothing you say will make this true.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 06:03 PM
2

You’re convinced that romantic connections are simply just friendships with sex mixed in. That’s a very unique view, and not how I see romance. Carry on.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 10:00 AM
2

It’s still the same. You pointing out that romantic partners like to have sex makes no difference
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 06:50 AM
3

You hit the nail on the head.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 02:37 AM
2

I would literally much rather have a dead-bedroom romantic relationship with an asexual partner, than what I have right now
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 02:36 AM
1

Dude like 95% of my time was spent working… when I went out with friends, strangers at the bar don’t know what you do for work, & I didn’t flaunt it. All my friends were also successful, same with the girls in our friend group, so they went for the best looking guys in the finance group. And dating apps were shit, because big cities are literally full of other guys flexing their finance jobs.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/25 02:32 AM

Are you okay? You might have replied to the wrong thread. You’re having your own debate here

Also, it doesn’t help that finance bros are a dime a dozen on dating apps in big cities. When your social circle is made up of “successful” people, and dating apps are too, it doesn’t really make a difference

Fucking me doesn’t fulfill the romantic intimacy box that I’m emphasizing. See how that works? Almost like you’re debating a straw man

Yes but unfortunately I’ve found it doesn’t make much of a difference - it took me a full year of obsessively tracking each calorie & gram of protein, and running a professionally catered hypertrophy routine just to start looking like “oh he’s probably been hitting the gym a little”. Then i started the new job, which took up my entire life & i couldnt prioritize gains. Now I’ve been back in the gym & considering PEDs so i can get the dream beach body while I’m still young

…this is exactly the point. It’s very obvious, we’re not retarded. I’ve obsessed about my looks for years. I’m an average looking guy - above average height, no excess fat, keep my haircut every 2 weeks, care about how I dress. I’ll catch a girl smiling at me at bars once or twice a year, but not good looking enough to get consistent matches on dating apps

Did this. Became an investment banking analyst in NYC and met lots of new friends. Still had virtually 0 attention/reception from women

This tired old talking point needs to die already. No, I’m not using a secret male code to refer to “sex” when I say I’m lonely. I crave romantic intimacy and connection. No matter how badly you want us to be sex-crazed drones, it doesn’t make it true. Go ahead, keep asserting otherwise. Don’t let me break the comfy little narrative you’ve set up for yourself.

Good for you

No, there are infinitely many other potential outcomes besides the existence of a fate-determined “One True Love”, and a dead bedroom partnership.

Ahh, there we are. You admit that your strategy requires belief in “the one true love” and “fate”. Nothing to see here, boys.

“And then you complain about women being overwhelmed be hundreds of other men and not repplying to you... Wel maybe if men didn’t swioe right on hundreds of women they don’t even like it wouldn’t be a problem...” We DO like your profiles. We’re just not as picky as y’all about what that means. Damn right, I complain. Stop pretending like you have a legitimate solution. “Well the goal.is the ONE, not numbers of people intersted in you.” Please refer to paragraph 3 of my last response.

Okay then, let’s assume for a minute that dating app profiles allow us to express ourselves well enough that somebody viewing it can feel a genuine connection that isn’t just a made-up fantasy. It would be virtually impossible for an average-or-below man to ever get a date following your advice. When swiping right on thousands of profiles monthly yields 0-2 possible meetups per year, reducing the number of swipes to just a few dozen will almost surely lead to radio silence. It is simply more eff…

I think you’re misunderstanding again. I’m saying that many successful relationships begin without an intense spark on the first profile view/interaction/meetup. People meet, learn more about each other, and a small flame turns into a fire. The “Don’t swipe right unless you’re already in love at first sight” approach is fundamentally flawed, especially as a man. You’re signing men up for failure, in more ways than one.

You seem to assume that all or most successful relationships begin with an intense, soul-consuming spark right off the bat. This is wrong. We’re not “saving” anything by limiting our options.

You don’t understand. We swipe on all of those, and then HUNDREDS MORE. We don’t get more than ~1-3 matches per week, & those to women who have hundreds of guys in their inbox so they don’t bother replying. If we took your advice, we’d be even LESS likely to ever make a romantic connection.
