That lonely feeling, even if you don't feel aloneHit me up if you need to chat, I'm the same age, with two kids, but currently cohabitation. Not the same situation, but I can be an ear. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/05/26 05:30 PM
What was the thing that made you say you no longer love your wife? She sent me an instagram post "being his wife was temporary, being his hot ex-wife is forever" Straight up disrespectful. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/05/26 05:10 PM
Any subs for men over 40/50 dating?I'm in the 30-39 bracket and it's rough. Somehow my STBXW is out a few times a week, but the talent pool is rough. Even with everything going on she's fine as hell compared to what's out there. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/05/26 05:08 PM
I’m doneMy social circle got so small and it's daunting expanding it at this stage in my life. We'll see how the next few weeks go, I hope to get into a D&D group or something. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/05/26 05:06 PM
The Limbo PeriodCurrently living this. She's out any night it isn't her night as lead parent (2-2-3). I know she's dating, she said as much during therapy sessions. I'm trying to get my shit together for myself and my kids. Another 12-18 months of this in the same home. We're a month in. We didn't want to do it during the school year, and the kids have been so excited to use the pool so we thought 1 more summer, and then we can fuck our financial future. Townhomes here are ~530k CAD, we bought our single family… | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/05/26 05:03 PM
Do you still love her and think of her?Yes; I also can't help but feel I am the root cause of the reason why we're separating. I pushed her away emotionally and was not the best role model for my kids. I love her with all my being, but it sucks to see her move on so quickly, going on dates and knowing she's putting out more than she ever did since we had kids. It also doesn't help my brain keeps replaying everything and all the moments I will not see with her and the life we (maybe just I?) envisioned. All the times she told me my ye… | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/04/26 12:51 PM
Do not miss wife at all…Currently doing a 2-2-3 in the same home. Neither one of us can afford to leave the home until it sells and we agreed to give the kids one more amazing summer in this neighbourhood. It. Fucking. Kills. She’s out every night she can, when she’s around she’s on her phone on dating apps. She’s the lead parent today and tomorrow. Guess who left for work before she made the kids lunches? | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/04/26 10:25 AM
30M , Anyone up for a real genuine chat abt life in general and finding purpose ?Hit me up whenever. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/04/26 01:00 AM
Anyone else wonder how a sweet loving giving woman...STBXW was livid with her father for cheating on her mom all these years. STBXW was angry her dad moved on from her mom within a month of her death. STBXW didn't talk to her dad for 4 months because he was dating a gold digger. Does not give me the respect and moves on from our 13 year relationship within days. Some people have internal issues they are too weak to address. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/04/26 11:13 AM
I finally see how my need to control ruined usOf course I am trying to not lean on it much, but I am "focused" on being mindful and being present/grateful. I sat in the basement this morning after working out and just took in the chaos that the kids left. My brain went to "I wonder what they were playing" -- it was my STXW's turn with the kids, definitely a hard thing to turn off. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/04/26 11:11 AM
Men who didn’t maintain friendships/a support system during your marriage - how have you managed the loneliness?Same here, I also noticed who has been a good friend and they reached out, but others have not. I always made the excuse I was too busy and didn't want to miss time with the kids, nor did I want my friends to miss time with theirs -- we had kids earlier than most in our circle, and we also moved 40 minutes away from everyone. There's a lot of good advice in the comments, get out of your comfort zone and try something. Personally I'm going to try to get back into running, and maybe soccer. One of… | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/04/26 11:08 AM

I finally see how my need to control ruined usThat is a constant issue. I would give them a consequence and or she wouldn’t follow through. She is so easy going. I’m not even asking trash, it’s putting their clothes away or just tidying up their toys. Everyone I know in my family when they come over would ask why there were so many toys everywhere. I would have outbursts because I was embarrassed and also the fact the toys should’ve been picked up a long time ago. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/04/26 01:16 AM
I finally see how my need to control ruined usThanks brother I appreciate this. This is exactly what it felt like. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/04/26 01:13 AM
