Meh, my ex is manipulative and tried to pull this card when I was “dating” after separation. “But it’s adultery!” No one cares. Found out later she was doing the same thing 😂 it’s divorce, you should expect it. Sounds like you still have some feelings to resolve/work through around your previous relationship. It’s not a bad thing, but realize you can’t control her actions and you have some healing/work to do on your breakup to distance yourself emotionally from her, it’s just part of the process

Ex moved 4hrs away with 3yo daughter before filing.. didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye. I was in residency and didn’t have any choice of moving for another 1.5 years. With divorce decree, child support, alimony and such, I work nearly two full time jobs to make it financially. Extra job means working a lot of weekends and little physical contact with daughter. I FaceTime her nearly everyday. The kids get tired of it and go in cycles of wanting to talk and not talk. You have your own circum…

Realization that not everyone is the same person as my ex and I don’t carry emotional baggage into other relationships that jade my view on life and hinder finding something beautiful in life 🤷🏻‍♂️

3 months. Been together for 7mo and going great. Just depends on where you are at emotionally which is different for everyone. Just be honest with yourself and realize there isn’t a right or wrong answer since every situation is different

Sounds like the ex knew she would have the weekends off and get to play around while still claiming she is the single mom taking primary custody of the kids and doing it on her own.. all the while, you work all week plus duties on the weekend which leaves you with no life, and that’s probably giving her the most pleasure of all 🤷🏻‍♂️

Currently dealing with this. Kid lives 4hrs away with STBx and I pull weekend shifts to make extra money to cover all expenses. Leaves little time to make the drive and when I do it’s an exhausting day with 8 hours of driving. Get ridiculed for not seeing her more and shamed if I do anything other than work and make the drive to see the child. STBx states I broke the family bond and tries to equate me leaving her as leaving the child to which I reply I will happily take sole custody of the child…

Nope. Went on a few dates and it was much easier to identify what I wanted/didn’t want. It was rather disconcerting at first since I felt like my checklist wasn’t going to be completed by a single person. Had some great hookups with nice people who felt the same way I did (nice people, good conversation, sexual appeal, but fundamentals were discordant. such as she wanted more kids, and I didn’t, ability to move locations, etc.) I was about to delete all the apps but got a random message from a f…

33M here, divorce papers signed, just waiting for judge to sign.. 2 months after she moved out with my 3yo daughter, I started the online dating app thing. High earner here and didn’t want to be supporting anyone else and was nervous about gold diggers. Dating apps for my age and younger were horrible. They all want to start a family, still getting stable financially in career while I’m over here scheduling a vasectomy and making 6 figures a year. Best thing I did was increase my age range.. go …
