Mergers and acquisitions? Deal breaker
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 12:54 AM

There's no way you can have all the effects of chasing without actually chasing. Even women occasionally chase because of this... despite all the current willingness of men to chase sometimes a woman will chase. However. You could learn how to better do the mate seeking things women do instead of chasing. Looking attractive. Being visible. Giving indicators of interest. Cultivating social circles. Getting good at existing in the plausible deniability phase of flirting. Seeking new social scenes.

Not a problem of any sort if she's happy too. Just if you do that and the consequences of your decision to not be yourself ever send you to an emotionally bad place that's 100 percent your problem, you need to hold yourself accountable. That's one of the major reasons the blue and purple here often have fuck all sympathy for all the wannabe players and pickup artists who come up whining to them about how the system is broken because they can buy a girl an expensive meal and get nothing in return…

Then what you need to do is hold yourself morally accountable. That means yeah sure you can take the hot chick out for an expensive meal and a chick flick and spend the whole day being...what is it you guys call it...a dancing monkey...for her, even though every fibre of your being says that's no fun thats not me, that's a lie. But if at the end of the day she still won't fuck you well that should be entirely your problem to emotionally get the fuck over, not something you should regard as her w…

How about this...every time you're about to not be yourself in hopes of getting some vagina into your life carefully weigh up the consequences of doing that.... firstly because some of the consequences are likely to be shit you don't want and maybe that will cause you to reconsider and secondly because thinking it through might make it harder to avoid holding yourself accountable for that choice to take a hot chick for an expensive meal and to a movie you didn't like having been your choice some…

"we are expected to plan the date" Well yeah if someone male or female wants to invite someone to go somewhere specific...as a potentially romantic thing or just to talk about nonromantic stuff...they're going to have to plan that. But you always have the option of waiting until they are ready to invite you somewhere "pay for it" It is assumed if someone invites someone somewhere they pay. Unless of course they make it obvious in the invitation that they aren't paying. Is there anything actually…

Dating covers too extensive a range of a relationship to actually say? I don't expect anyone to defend someone else in the early stages of dating. The willingness to intervene gradually grows between the couple as the relationship grows. I've been married. I've cohabited. By the time I'm at that level of a relationship I've got my partner's back and he has mine. An example is If one of us goes to answer the door the other is poised to leap into action if there is trouble. There's an umbrella sta…

The argument being put is a fucking scam. The majority of men and the majority of women protect provide and make money. Sure the balance in any relationship fluctuates with circumstances. Maybe she goes part time at work until the kids are at school. Maybe he loses his job and she takes on a second job for a while. Maybe he's the one the maniac attacks at a public event and she needs to turn the tide of the conflict and maybe it's the other way round. But almost universally the bulk of adult hum…

I have never regarded any male partner of mine as having more or less of a responsibility than me to protect, provide and make money. Those are adult human responsibilities. If you claim those as only male responsibilities and suggest I must claim more responsibilities to compensate men, you are attempting to steal from me.

There are countless different pastimes in the world he could have chosen. The things you choose to give your time to shape you. Why he chose to spend an average four hours a day gaming pales in comparison to what the choosing to do that did to his personal development.

Pretty much. It's mostly the dudes who have no intention of ever being held accountable themselves for things like spending a decade not doing anything to gain more social skills, social circles, fitness, ability to present themselves well while having gained expert standards in half a dozen computer games. If I tell her she's not being accountable maybe she'll never get round to noticing my lack of accountability!

Those hot girls don't want the losers of the classes up above them as often as you might think. Because they can have the winners of the class they are actually in. Imagine being in their situation. The fact that for very sensible practical reasons you in particular can't and should not personally help everyone doesn't necessarily mean it would be a bad thing if they somehow managed to get helped. If you've got a lot to cook up just because you've got a lot to cook up (like maybe they were on sale) not because you're trying to make a special impressive meal then maybe use a can of tomatoes and a jar of pasta sauce and season it all to have a flavour profile a bit like paella? Depends how it happens. Let's imagine it's 5pm on a Saturday night and you have a sudden plumbing emergency. You start shutting off the main tap, calling around for plumbers, cleaning up the water and getting wet things things set up to dry. You also quickly text the person you have a 6pm third date with. Sorry will be very late should we reschedule? In return you get a reply "I don't fucking believe this that you'd flake on me like this." Then a minute later "you'd better be here by 6.30" Then …

So let's say on a particular instance I think this practice of showing up to a date just to have a confrontation that you think is automatically healthier than lack thereof may end up in the other person becoming angry enough to start doing violence... should I carry a concealed weapon to this sort of date because of a potential need to defend myself?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 03:33 AM

Idk. How much would the ingredients of each cost? Is one made with fresh fruit and the other made with some sort of chunky frozen slurry? Transport costs to the shop? Got anything else you want to do near that smoothie shop? Is it 9am on a lazy Sunday morning and you're at risk of doom scrolling all morning if you don't get your arse out the house and see some sunshine? Decisions are complicated.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 10:57 PM

Well since most of that is decidedly just a performance it's definitely taking you off the path of being excited by most women's natural normal reactions.

I'm in my fifties and have existed with access to both sex and porn for forty years. I know both. Porn, if one uses it, is part of one's exploration of one's sexuality. And most types of porn are only partially fantasy...there may be acting but the deeds are real. If you watch someone get fucked in the arse they are usually really getting a dick up them. And quite frankly...many women are grossed out by men with extensive porn experience in much the same way as many men are grossed out by women …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:33 PM

People also masturbate to things they very much want to do, and discover new things they want to do via porn explorations. Both things are true.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:22 PM

That's moving the goal posts. The person I replied to claimed men did not experiment much with their sexuality. Masturbation is part of sexuality and most men experiment with it extensively, and especially experiment with porn and masturbation.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:15 PM

No, we encourage the men in our lives to seek therapy when they've got obvious issues within themselves they say they want to change and we've tried to help them but every time it ends up with the man angry and the relationship destabilized. So we try to get him to go to a professional so he can have help AND a functional and supportive home life. The ones who have serious issues in themselves they say they just don't want to change we generally just leave.

Bottle flick trick indicates multiple areas of physical competence that many men do not possess. It's as valid an admirable sign of superiority as a six pack is. Hypergamy is originally a sociological term intended for use in sociological discourse. It's generally reserved in sociological discourse for matters of economic and social status. I think you can only push it so far before it becomes totally meaningless. If a woman is for example to be regarded as hypergamous because she admires how well her boyfriend solves crossword puzzles or how he can do that bottle flick trick the term has entirely lost any weight and gravitas it originally carried when p…

Bisexual men have two somewhat statistically different sets of humans they want to appeal to. That's always going to lead to occasional decisions to do something that appeals more to one of the sets of humans than the other set of humans. A haircut a pair of glasses a pair of trousers a shirt...all opportunities to make yourself more or less attractive and all things that men who have sex with men and women who have sex with men potentially have different opinions on.

America should make it illegal for an American to pay for sex in Venezuela. Tren de Aragua runs a high proportion of the prostitution there. It's just common sense. It's primarily about safety. Very much about safety. And safety is a moral imperative if you've got people who love you. Of course if I need to send someone away consequent to an assessment of risk I should do so in the most convenient way possible. Furtive weird dudes actually make that easier to do by behaving furtively. By not being in company of friends. By not adhering to the normal social behaviours.

I don't know him from Adam when he's furtively relocating himself around the room to glance at me and make false starts to do something while spewing out anxiety vibes everywhere. And I don't want to find out. Like I said the best I could possibly hope for from finding out is a socially incompetent friend and the worst is being assaulted. He's low on the social ladder because nobody likes his behaviour. If he wants to be higher he needs to start by taking responsibility for his behaviour.

Ruling out the DV guy requires entirely different strategies. It's really quite useless comparing them. And of course some…

Actually it is extremely moral to protect oneself. How fucked over would your family be for the rest of their lives if you were found naked and beaten to death in a ditch with a splintered tree branch shoved up your butt? It's their dysfunction not the dysfunction of everyone around them. They are adults and they have left the realms of school programs for the disabled. That's for state legislated unemployment insurance. Highly paid professionals often have privately purchased insurance. Mostly in their employment contract through their employer as part of the employer's general policies on high value employees. That would be government unemployed benefits? From what I've heard, the sort of unemployment insurance that involves you paying or your employer paying a set percent of your income as premium to a private insurer can have provisions where you basically get a proportion of your previous income for a set number of months but if you take a job....any job...even one shift...the insurance ends. So if your previous job was very highly paid that $600 Macca's job might be quite a money loser.
