Multiple reasons She needs to hate and incels are an easy target, nobody defends them and they’re mostly deplorable A woman posting nudes publicly is more likely to be a target of a violent incel (which yeah makes her foolish for posting and so on) if she posts nudes for free she probably doesn’t have very good self esteem, leading to a need to project it or introspect, she chose projection, see #1

There’s a point in every business’s growth where they need an HR person to cover their asses, so they promote some female employee to do it. businessmen hate the idea of workplace equality and fairness and that makes them incapable of even pretending to be ok to regulatory bodies

This is a really good point. I’ve gotten into sports before just to have something to talk to people about. It works both ways. The internet has made this harder, because people get more into their narrow interests than they used to and if you aren’t geeking out at their level they consider you a poseur. Being well-rounded is less of an advantage now than being into some specific thing that has a broad appeal. You could get laid just by talking about Game of Thrones 7 years ago.

My motto when I was dating was “if I want love I have to get out my checkbook” I’m good looking enough that women aren’t ashamed to be seen with me and I was under no illusions that any of them liked me as a person. I don’t think echo chambers are going anywhere. They’re a core feature of computer network communications. Not just the internet but every form of online environment I’ve been in has had them. Usenet newsgroups were almost exactly like Reddit. So were BBS echomail groups and Prodigy way back in the day. Every topic-focused group develops an ideology over time, through attrition and attraction. People who think outside the norm leave when they find a place where they are considered normal. What m…

Following your intuition is a feedback loop that makes you trust your intuition more, even when it’s wrong, because you were just going on what you knew at the time. Intuitive knowledge is confirmed by feelings. People who trust their guts place their feelings above their thoughts in primacy. If she’s trusting her feelings she’s trusting herself, and how can trusting oneself ever be wrong?

Flash forward a few years, I had gotten into a very serious relationship with my future wife, and crush girl found out about it. Turns out those dates over the summer were designed to get me hooked. Then her plan was to go wild in college before reeling me back in when she was ready to settle down. She wasn’t ever going to tell me her plan, but my girlfriend was a major threat now, and this was a last ditch effort by her to get me to leave my future wife and “come back to her.” This might explai…

Sex is an excretory process for men. Semen is waste, and the need to ejaculate is on the same level of bodily need as the need to shit. Sex is a drug for both sexes that puberty forces us to be addicted to. This comment brought to you by the insane hot take gang

Because a first date that starts with you arriving separately and ends with you taking her home often does. You need to be able to read the situation and know if that’s what she wants. If you can’t tell for sure, it’s safest to choose the impersonal option. This case is a misread on the guy’s part, but it might not have been for a different woman. It’s all just part of compatibility.

It works, but only on yourself. If you start out with this mentality, you’ll always be faking it to others in your mind, and if it’s a situation where others define success you’ll never succeed.

I worked in tech. There’s a general lack of patience or acceptance for anything human or inefficient in corporate tech life that I internalized. I taught myself to shut off my empathy for others because it’s not productive. It’s considered bad etiquette to interrupt people while they’re working. I came to think of everything I did as “work…

You have to know the guy to know which kind of MGTOW he is though, and being MGTOW in itself is an obstacle to that. The anxiety men have about relationships is because they are our support system and we get left behind in life without being a part of one. A man who goes into the second half of his life by himself is facing a long downhill decline with no help. Anyone he meets who finds out he is single is going to put up a barrier of “this guy better not try to leech off of me.” So he never gets a chance to prove himself to be okay. I disagree, mostly. “Nice” is a set of behaviors, not a mindset. There’s positive and negative niceness. Positive niceness comes from having a good attitude about life and genuinely liking people. Women love this. But it’s rare. Negative niceness comes from an attitude of efficiency and image-consciousness. These guys are following the rules of politeness because they want things to go smoothly and people to like them but they have negative attitudes and don’t genuinely care about people. It has…

If prostitution were legal - and socially normalized - a small percentage of broken men would turn out more well-adjusted. The involuntary in incel would lose all of its meaning because women wouldn’t be the social gatekeepers of all sexual activity anymore. Guys who had given up because women don’t like them would get a chance to feel sexual. The only society that would prohibit men from that is one that is actively trying to destroy their mental health. Women have benefitted from putting in mi…

You have never seen a guy getting called simp, soy, beta Billy, when he does stuff for a woman that other men think he shouldn’t so? not being fooled by people is a masculine trait. The behavior is not gender specific but the consequences are. Men lose FAR more social capital from being fooled by a woman than women do from being fooled by men We’re supposed to never get anything wrong at all in any circumstance. but we get a pass for it the first time it happens with women. If you happen to make the same mistake twice, you’re shamed and ostracized for having poor judgment. Relationships don’t happen if you’re cynical about the person you’re dating. This is why the person that cares the most has the least power in the relationship. They must choose trust and deliberately ignore anything that feels wrong. Once a woman realizes this is how you feel she’s free to use and hurt you however she wants to, if she is so inclined. The only consolation prize if you turn out to be a fool is being able to say afterward that you took the high road, which is a cope that means not…

I’ve heard some countries somewhat do this where everyone just kind of hangs out in the town square or whatever in the evening and random people just socialize. Someone in here mentioned people did it in their eastern European town. Just a natural social setting. Here in the United States that doesn’t seem to be a thing without obnoxious music and insane amounts of alcohol. In America this always gets stopped when someone asks who’s gonna pay for it or be liable if someone gets hurt. If the loca…

My personal mistakes and bad decisions are self-evident. The best I can describe it is that living in polyamory and open relationships corrupted any sense I had that sexual talk was or should be exclusive. Had I not been in those relationships, this would not have happened. This was my choice and my mistake. I tell this story so that my failures can serve as a warning to others. Otherwise, nothing good is to be found.

I’m responsible for all of it, so I’m not sure what difference it makes where I set the source of the faulty behavior. Besides, I’ve punished myself for this daily for years, you can’t hurt me more. The mindset I had gotten into due to my prior life with sexual talk not being out of bounds had spilled over into my current life, where it was not compatible with my partner’s idea of monogamy. There was no prior communication about this particular issue, and so I had been running with the autistic …

What happened was I did something that I didn’t think was cheating (online flirting) while in a monogamous relationship after my poly/open ones, and got caught red-handed. The situation was compounded by my monogamous partner’s own issues and insecurity. But it made me completely change my relationship to sex and take it way more seriously so that I could fit into the relationship I was in, which was serious enough to be worth it. The conclusion I came to was that identifying as polyamorous is t…

This doesn’t seem like a “you” problem, dude. That sounds like a “them” problem. Don’t blame yourself because other people suck! I have no proof it’s all them. This is a consistent complaint in my relationships and the common factor is me. The idea of emotional responsibility is a common source of conflict too. I refuse to be blamed for another person’s shitty reactions. Women always start fights by saying “you made me feel [bad feeling].” Nope, you feel that as a reaction to what I did, your re…

I figure because the facade will eventually crack anyway. Why waste your time on a doomed relationship when you can find someone you can actually click with? I assume all relationships are doomed and focus on enjoying the present with the person as they are happening. “Clicking” is as temporal and subjective as any other phenomenon involving humans. The “click” can disappear (happened when I was married) and then what? What do you feel like keeps being the conflict, if you don’t mind me asking? …

It’s real and varies by location. Part of the purpose of the wage gap is to discourage women from working at all, which makes them more controllable and keeps paying seats open for men. This was the purpose of it in my former city, where women are still thought of by the white male ruling class as basic breeding stock Women in turn played into it because a) nobody in their right mind actually wants to work b) playing along with this felt good and right due to cultural affirmation c) it’s hard wo…

Feminism became dogmatic about equality, especially quantifiable forms like job ratios. Equality is the wrong word for gender because like you said it’s not possible. We’re not talking about the equality of white people and PoC under the law. The word we should be using for gender is equivalency, where men and women are equal partners but it comes from complementing each other’s strengths and weaknesses. This was always the goal until the feminist movement latched onto the civil rights movement’s coattails for publicity in the late 1960s and started using the same language

Stop reframing this isn’t about arguments where the man is wrong and the woman points it out This is about arguments where the woman is wrong, has said she’s ok with being told that, then when you actually argue she goes batshit way beyond a basic “shit I was wrong” reaction. That is the norm with women, not an exception. Don’t claim to be tough enough when you aren’t, and don’t make other peoples’ lives miserable because of your weakness. Those are masculine values though so I guess it’s obviou…

Same here actually But there are times I’ve sought it out and it is a different world. in the world of casual sex signaling of status via collective attraction is more important than being attracted to your partner. Casual sex is a social activity, not an intimate one.

The routine of not admitting you’re wrong isn’t what I’m talking about either I hate being lied to. I’m talking about lying women who say they want open communication then blow up at you when you’re open with them because they don’t like what you say for some reason that may be valid, may be because they see backing down as admission of weakness, or because if they back down they’re letting the sisterhood down Women shouldn’t put up with belligerence in men either but men are expected to tolerat…

Your east coaster perspective is interesting here because east coast culture is still collectively focused and tightly bound by social laws and norms, so you understand the role of shame in society. Someone from out west where individualism, and live and let live has always been a rule is going to think individual preference is the only thing that matters, or at least they’re going to feel obligated to signal it

The main thing that makes women not have casual sex is fear of slut shaming. What many don’t realize is that the level of slut shaming a woman receives for “putting out too fast” is inversely proportional to the man’s attractiveness they’ll fuck Chad after a free drink and five minutes of talk because if he pumps and dumps they won’t get shamed because he’s Chad, and that’s what Chad does, be hot and ejaculate in women. The answer to your question is the same: “Why live? We can’t know, and I don’t know.” It is a subjective question based entirely on the responses of individual observers. “We can’t know” doesn’t feel adequate for this problem. We can’t know what it’s like to be a bat but we can know some of the qualities of another person’s life - assuming we’re not all completely alien to each other mentally. “We can’t know” make me wonder what we (humanity as a whole) are missing or what we’re failing to look …

And that’s why I never get an answer. There’s always a point where whoever I’m talking to just stops thinking, tells me the question is invalid, and throws up their hands. They never tell me why, or try to educate me, just say “accept it because __”. It’s like there’s some trigger in the question itself that shuts down logical thought. The phenomenon of shutting down the conversation is almost more interesting. I don’t see where “existential” and “logical” are antonyms. If you just feellike life…

“Why should we live?” is a philosophical question. I shortened it to “why live?” I’m asserting that the question of “why should we live” must have a self-contained logical answer that does not depend on pre-bias towards living. I have never found that answer, and my desire for it to exist seems to piss people off, but I still believe it must exist.

Whether I have read the same books with the same emphasis as you or not, and whether Camus is sufficient authority to appeal to to stop a conversation or not, the fact remains that absurdism doesn’t give me an answer that works for me. Absurdists give up on reason as a solution to the problem of meaning, and move the goalposts of meaning outside of the field of reason entirely. You can say you won any argument when you don’t actually fight the opposition. Camus was writing as a French intellectual after WWII, the French who just got occupied by the Nazis for 4 years, he had a perspective on brutality and the banality of evil that I can’t relate to. He’s not writing for me, a bitter American in 2022. Understanding what he said …

Camus as I read him says that life is so absurd and meaningless that searching for a meaning in it is pointless. There is only denial and distraction, ie be Sisyphus and be happy rolling the rock because this time you saw a bluebird. That’s giving up on reason as a tool for making life better. Reason is our only real superpower so giving up on it is not something I find very admirable or appealing. Pessimism is just how you practice nihilism if you’re not going down the Camus road. I don’t believe anything is beyond reason. The reasoning might be cruel and barbaric for some things, but everything can be argued for and against in a world of free thought. I have yet to meet anyone who will argue for an inherent value to life all the way to the end. They always throw up their hands, say it’s beyond reason, and back away like wanting to talk about it at all is sickness. If life is so good, why…

Absurdism is the worst of existentialism. Imagine your life’s work amounts to “fuck it, I give up”
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 05:02 PM

This makes sense. But then why put in the effort it takes to live, if material life is transient? What dependencies are left on me that require me to keep myself materially alive, and more to the point, if I embrace this detachment and the pure pointless transience of material existence, how do I not resent the attachments that force me to continue be here?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 04:47 PM

If anything, knowing that none of my choices matter in the grand scheme of things is actually an extremely comforting thought. I don’t understand this at all. If nothing I do matters, why do I have to exist in the first place? What required me to be born if I’m fundamentally pointless?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 04:41 PM

This has been bothering me so long that I started studying paganism, magic and occult shit to learn how the psychology of creating meaning through belief works. Basically “meaning” is just a set of pre-programmed synchronicities and confirmation biases. Christians see Gods plan in the world because they believe there is one and it comforts them to believe this, so their biases get confirmed. On the other end of the spectrum you have magicians who make sigils that they believe will send good thin…

/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 04:16 PM

Doesn’t help that the only opposing force to nihilism is existentialism - you exist, so it doesn’t matter where you find meaning in life as long as you do. Well, what if you can’t? What if you looked everywhere that people say to look for meaning and value and none of what you found worked for you? Existentialists will tell you you didn’t look correctly or long enough. Nihilists will tell you you’re right that it’s not there at all. There’s no third path, and it seems like a huge gap
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 04:12 PM

Basically, everything’s an attachment. wanting to eat food is being attached to not being hungry. Wanting to survive is being attached to living. The religious side of it is obviously bogus. Like how Theravada says householders can’t even achieve enlightenment because they have responsibilities they can’t renounce. That’s just a new flatter caste system with monks at the top (thinking in terms of 400 BCE India). There’s no concept of a healthy and unhealthy desire. When you’ve had what you thoug…

Disagree Women want to be desired by other women. Not for sex, but as their enemy. I did. God is the highest tier of consciousness powered by the force of life, which we create in the operation of Mind. God wants what humans want because we are both human and God simultaneously. God is not unbiased.

Parents love children due to biological programming, oftentimes loving their kids is actually a detriment to their own lives. Ever known a parent that kept enabling an addict kid while the addict kept destroying the family? I have. Love is not a universal good either.

I keep getting downvoted and banned on philosophy subs when I look for an argument for an objective, irrefutable value to human life. If philosophers don’t have the willpower and courage to argue for that, who the hell does? Is this because they know such a thing doesn’t exist? Use of computers and the internet increases black and white thinking, which leads to a fragmented social structure. It’s the cause of all of our current social problems, including incels. Oh - yeah, it’s not the same here in KY. The city people aren’t gentrifying the woods here. The closest major city in KY is Lexington and it’s always been an insular college town that looks down its nose at the hills. City money doesn’t come here to live, they just buy property and vacation here or rent it out. They aren’t investing in progress, they’re building fiefdoms for when the collapse happens.

It’s always projection. Women deep down don’t think they should have to do anything for men but lay down and spread their legs. Anything more than that is calculated effort for effect. So if a man puts in effort, they view it through their own manipulative lens and assume he has the same intentions they would. It’s always projection.

Better/worse is more complicated. The absolute best BJs of my life have been from women, but they were completely drained by the effort, men have more stamina and bigger mouths and throats so they can do it more comfortably than women and stay laid back about it. Women are easy to please early in a relationship. It goes downhill once you commit. They start turning the thumbscrews down tighter after that, because they don’t have to pretend to be the coolest woman you ever met anymore. This results in the goalposts moving constantly and them never being satisfied. It just means they didn’t really want to do the freaky shit in the first place and we’re just playing along to keep you. It’s a bad feeling. I’ve also had women tell me “I don’t need all the kinky stuff to get off with you.” Meaning it’s something they felt they had to do with other guys because they couldn’t make vanilla sex as good as I could for them. TRP lore says this means they weren’t attracted enough to me to do it. I don’t think they were lying though, because I’ve felt the same way. If…

Epigenetics is what I mean by genetic damage. Trauma changes how your genes build the nervous system that writes the software. I’ve spent my whole adult life trying to change the software and every time I think I have, life doubles down and I get smacked down and proven wrong. I’ve given up on getting any help from psychology and the mental health system. I have stuff I’m working on. But the goal is not to be good enough for some woman anymore, it’s to just be able to live.

Facts There’s been a distinct difference in the quality of the sex in different relationship types for me: 100% casual ONS/hookup : not much experience with this tbf but mostly fun with the women putting on a show to be more memorable Casual dating (go to dinner/drinks then fuck): bad, since the women were not interested in a relationship, they didn’t try in bed and hoped I would FWB: this has been the consistent #2 in quality for me, because the friendship encouraged experimentation without jud…

If you are a male, your ancestors likely held a sword or a spear or a club and they killed other men in order to dominate and procreate successfully. And here men are whining that they didn’t get a match on Tinder all week. It’s also likely they had (possibly nonconsensual) sexual relations with other men when women weren’t available, which men today are eschewing in favor of whacking it to porn and whining about mean girls. Women haven’t changed in that regard, witness the threads about lesbian…

What I’m saying is flexing anything on social media is a sign of immaturity and narcissism. If she flexes me on social, she can’t keep the relationship ours privately, and she’s in it at least partially for external validation and not because she wants to be with me. That means any man who can provide more social validation than me could be situationally seen as better than me and she will branch swing. Its a sign she can’t be trusted. TRP is valid as a set of coping mechanisms and communication strategies for failed middle-tier men who are stuck with a pool of low value, trashy, hypergamous women to date. The kind of guy that fucked up every relationship he’s had to the point that the only women who will look at him are alcoholics, junkies, bored-out strippers, and so on. My experience differs. A large number of people desperately want to be a “type”. They have no imagination to create themselves and join 1-N herds that tell them who to be, and their final personality either depends on which herd they are interacting with at any time, or becomes defined by the intersection of all of their herd memberships.

He said it because you didn’t, you ignored that factor to make your point. It’s impossible for men who date women to complain about dating struggles without implicitly blaming women. They aren’t dating the other men. The only other people they could be blaming is themselves, and that is never the intention of anyone who brings a personal issue of any kind into public for discussion.

Women love seeing men struggle. It’s universal, even among tradcon women. Women have to be gold diggers because of the gender wage gap. If they’re looking for something serious when dating, that means they’re looking for financial relief from making 60% of what men do. Single moms especially. Another thing that’s out there in the dating pool is a kind of financial PTSD. Yes, they laugh at Freud then pull out Maslow, who had love and belonging (implies sex for men) at level 3 on his pyramid, lower than self esteem. This is female “othering”, a coping strategy. Women project the qualities they hate about themselves onto others, so that they can demonize them for having them instead of doing any serious self work.

You have to take full legal responsibility for your actions at age 18, nothing I have said changes that. I would have thought this sub would recognize the concept of temptation and being too weak to avoid it, since it’s about dating

In pre-pandemic society it wasn’t possible to survive (except in certain cases) in the USA without leaving the house. But there have always been people who would prefer to be complete shut-ins if they could. COVID made everyone a shut-in, so the infrastructure to support shut-in life grew, necessarily. Now that the lockdowns are over those people who wanted to be shut-ins can go on living that way. And they will be ridiculed and thus shunned and forgotten by those who aren’t, left to die alone, …

The long game is to starve and kill off the introverts. We’ve always been undesirable to the extroverted majority, we just have skills that make us useful to them. Can’t do overt eugenics in 2022. But you can lock us in our homes where we can’t socialize, put us to work there, give us bread and circuses shipped to our door, and wait 20-40 years and we’ll all be gone and you social butterflies can go around talking to and appreciating each other again.

TRP and FDS are sets of coping strategies for being stuck with a pool of shitty people to date. Self-improvement to get better prospects is pointless when there are no better prospects to meet. You just end up raising your own bar so high that nobody can meet it and you stay alone.

It can’t be changed or saved. everything that goes mainstream eventually becomes as shallow as it needs to be to attract the lowest common denominators of the population. I don’t think it can get more shallow than Tinder

Here’s another point, self-improvement often requires tons of therapy and confronting childhood issues and when yours was really fucked up (like mine was) you end up having to reject your own past, and you see others’ pasts in a similar way. You learn too much about what makes people act the way they do and all the mystery of human life leaves - all socializing, not just dating, then becomes a form of “running game” and following a formula. Once you realize this and how everyone can be manipulat…

MGTOW is a dirty word on Reddit because /r/MGTOW got taken over by incels when their subs got banned. It gets hated on by people in the real world because the idea that men exist to provide resources and labor for everyone but themselves is internalized even by the most obnoxiously woke progressives.

Depends on location, generation, and socioeconomic IME Where I’m staying right now (rural USA), no Gen X woman is even looking at a man unless he looks like a construction foreman with a shaved head and goatee and about 50 lbs of beer gut and fat muscle In professional white collar circles women prefer hair and full beards or clean shaven with tennis player type bodies across the board if they can get them, but it depends on generation whether they’ll settle for anything else The young guys are …

It’s a race condition past a certain age window. Women want to be treated with respect and as equals. Obviously that’s the right thing to do. But if you’re past the age where the good/sane people in your place and time have all sorted into couples, all that will be left to couple up with are the women who are single due to their shit personalities. (I’m well aware that they think the same about the men that are left, myself included) If you miss the good-relationship boat, it doesn’t come back f…

The way it works is that you do you, whatever you want, and if someone you’re attracted to takes notice, then you pursue them. You don’t spend your life manufacturing opportunities to meet people to date, but if an opportunity arises you strike.

I wish the dating world was blue pill, but my life experiences have led me to see it in a red pill way. People of all genders lack basic self-awareness and self-criticism, which leads them to the complete delusion that they are blue pill when their actual behavior is red.

The solution is to treat women like people, not just puzzles you have to solve to get to the warm holes. But what else can you do when all the women you meet demand to be treated this way?

There’s no difference in today’s culture between an enemy and an opponent. Everyone who isn’t on your “side” is seen as a potential (remote in most cases but still potential) threat to your health. If you can get the SWAT team called on you for being a smartass to the wrong person online, what point is there in talking to anyone at all if you’re not going to get something out of it?

Women fucking hate men in 2022, they are all out to use us to get babies and fund their lives and stupid woman shit. The true endgame never includes us, they even statistically live longer. Women are not partners.

Not as a primary partner. That’s a horrible deal for men. What happens when ppl open relationships, is the man has been loved and lusted after by SO for long enough that he forgets other women probably don’t want to fuck him on sight. But other men do want to fuck his SO on sight, and if it’s a poly relationship, she’s allowed to. So for every 1 date you get she could have 100. It takes a very high value, secure, or whipped man to live with this for very long. Plus poly women tend to be mentally…

My experience with women in recent years has been that they stereotype men, transacting for our attention with sex, and they treat themselves as if they have nothing else to offer. I’d love to meet and settle down a woman that wants to have intellectual conversations and not be into childish shallow bullshit, but they just whore it up and insult my intelligence by treating me like just another stereotypical dick-led generic dumbass like they’re used to. If you aren’t accessorizing their life by …
