All those stuck in flats and with roommates are childless. We know from studies that most people who end up childless actually wanted children. About 80%. But they waited too long. And the main reason to wait was job security and housing. Only about 10% of people who don’t have kids actually don’t want them. We need to either make fertility treatment free or cheaper. 1	Avoiding the Coming Demographic Collapse I actually have a friend who just left Serbia and he loved it there. He was a pilot. I know more and more western and Central Europeans moving east. If my business was not here I would actually consider it. Constant arguments with the neighbours, sleepless nights because someone is being loud in the middle of the night. The list goes on and on. Living in the country is the right way to raise a family, but the environment can not handle that. 0	Avoiding the Coming Demographic Collapse Newer studies are showing that it’s not true. The more educated people are, the more likely they are to care about the circumstances they raise their children in. If they don’t see a path to actually having a stable income and home to provide to their children, they won’t have kids. The reasons to go form 8 to 2 kids are different to those going from 2 to 0.
