That's kind of what I figured the response would be. It seems like such a gray area to me. If I was in a situation where a girl I was into liked my friend I'd tell him to go for it. The girls friend and I hit it off the first time we met and I haven't been interested in anyone else since. Against all better judgment I'll tread lightly and see if anything changes

Yeah. It works really well. Sometimes the girl I approach has a brick wall up and shuts me down right away. But that's all part of the fun

I say: Hey, you're Emily's roommate, right? That usually leads to a 'no' and 'trying to figure out how I know her'. Then you have your foot in the door and conversation started. I've bombed before but it's gets easier to recover once you've done it enough

This is a problem I run into often as well. I've tried flat out saying I'm not interested in a relationship and/or I'm only interested in sex. But in my experience most girls will agree to anything and hope to change your mind with sex
