Don’t move in. People act like it’s casual but it’s like marriage in the sense that it’s a whole upheaval. If he’s for you then he’ll understand. If he gets mad then his motivation is not to advance the relationship, but convenience and to cut bills. Moving in with a man, no matter your intentions, usually ends up with a woman doing caretaking duties that will impede on your free time. Don’t play house with a man who you aren’t sure you want to commit to forever. Put all that energy into yoursel…

The show is too biased to the female perspective, all while being entirely made from the male protagonist’s perspective…?

As someone who works in the creative industry men often ask me for free work. Like they find out that I draw so they ask for a free drawing! I “joke” and say sure if they pay me, sometimes they call my bluff and say sure (but I don’t take them up on it because obviously I don’t want to draw their stupid idea), something they really push it and try to make me draw them something. Either way it feels deeply disrespectful and opportunistic, honestly I think it’s a power thing. You wouldn’t ask some…

He acts as if sex frequency is completely irrelevant to all other aspects of the relationship. They’ve been together for three years and he doesn’t know if she’s vanilla or not? He clearly doesn’t take any emotional or intellectual interest in her as a person, no wonder she doesn’t want to sleep with him. Good riddance

Lol I had a moment when I was scrolling through tiktok and whenever a video of an obviously straight man monologueing comes up I am much more likely to scroll past it than if it’s a woman or queer person talking. I realized this must be how misogynists are when women speak lol.

The beauty of blocking is that who cares if they think you care too much? You’ll never know, because they’re now blocked and dead to you 😃. I honestly learnt my lesson in not blocking because they ALWAYS slither back. Months later you’ll get a “hey” message when he’s ready to waste your time again. It’s really not worth it. And of course I think men know that blocking shows that you care less. Leaving the door open for them to message you by NOT blocking shows that you are holding out some hope.…

You’re overthinking. Leagues are no objective categories that exist. Sure, there is some objectivity when perceiving the attractiveness of others, but someone who is a 5 to some will be a 10 to others. I doubt LVM overthink their value and aim for a 7 bevause they perceive themselves as a 5 (unless they’re deep into red pill territory). Instead, they just try their best indiscriminately with those they find desirable and see what sticks. Go for people you find attractive, that’s it. Have a minim…

It’s all the same delusion as when they lie about their height. They think if they can just get you to meet them irl they’ll charm you with the personality. Unfortunately they have the personality of a wet sponge so it doesn’t work either.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/01/22 09:53 AM

It seems small and men will try to gaslight you into thinking all men lie about their height, but it’s not true. Some are 5”9 and say they’re 5”9 because they have genuine intentions for a relationship and don’t want to start off on the wrong foot. Some say they’re 5”9 and are actually 5”4. It is indicative of his whole personality and attitude to truth. It shows a manipulative and dishonest streak.

She’s clearly just snapped out of a daze and realised that relationship was massively abusive. His entitlement, contempt, and complete disinterest in her is so blatant. How can you be so disinterested in your partner that you don’t notice they’re really successful?

A lot of people talked about nervousness and being personal being the main identifiers of genuine interest. I disagree, a narc is trying to gather information about you so will ask lots of questions to try and get information about you. My ex also seemed very nervous at the start, but that was literally all part of his act and a manipulation to try and make him less threatening. Love bombers are master manipulators, don’t underestimate their ability to charm and disarm you and seem vulnerable an…

There’s rarely an easy and immediate sign but someone over the age of 30 who’s never had a long term relationship is definitely a red flag. Another one is if they come on really strong and pull away shortly after (hot cold like everyone else has said). People may also be temporarily avoidant/emotionally unavailable following a breakup or something traumatic, so don’t date anyone who hasn’t been single for at least a year. Also just listen to the way they talk about themselves - do they say they’…

Men just have no concept of what it’s like to be a woman. They think things are easy for us because they just imagine themselves as women with the sexual power we have, and none of the oppression. They imagine a world in which women want them the way that men want women, but they can’t imagine their sexual partners being a physical threat to them, wanting to abuse them, or even not seeing them as human. They also don’t understand how significantly less rewarding Hetero sex is for women and how m…

I’m actually so glad to be single this Christmas and the year before. No extra presents to buy, no picky eating manchild making not bothering to put in the bare minimum into spending time with my family. I just get to enjoy the people I care about in comfort.

This is a delicate balance with no easy solution, but my approach is always to show more interest in another person and only divulge information about myself when directly asked, or if it is relevant to the conversation without making me too vulnerable. Most men don’t even notice when they’re talking 70% of the time. Learn to ask interesting questions and step outside yourself. It’s not your job to impress them, you need to have the confidence that you are already impressive enough.

A common one is the myth that higher earning men are meaner or somehow worse than lower earning ones. They’re not. They’re the same men, but with money, so if you’re going to date any, you may as well date men with money.

They don’t “value” any women, they’re just willing to bend over backwards to try and lure in a woman who they perceive will grant them “high status” amongst other men. They’ll discard, mistreat, abuse, and cheat on any women if they’re LV, no matter how beautiful she is. It’s not about the women, it’s about them.

That first comment is so pickme. When I was 20 I thought men over the age of 25 were ancient, let alone men over 30. They were literally invisible to me because I was interested in a fair and equal relationship with someone I actually had things in common with. This is utterly delusion and terrible advice.

When I was in my early 20s I thought I would try a “hoe phase” and even though I didn’t have any miserable experiences, they were so hollow and unpleasurable. I’d never really dated much before (not due to lack of opportunity but because of a lack of desire) but I thought I’d be missing out if I didn’t do it. We need to stop pressuring young women into doing something that they wouldn’t even naturally be inclined to do. I didn’t gain anything from the experience whatsoever.

The only thing people (including myself) every learn about from themselves from these experiences is that they don’t like it. This is so mad, these men’s brains have been rotted by porn so much that they don’t realise this isn’t how women function at all. They see all women as free prostitutes. They cannot comprehend that pornsick aggressive sex is made for the male gaze only and is either hated or (at most) endured by women and it doesn’t occur to them that literally no woman is going to meet some stranger off the internet just to put her life in danger?? As a woman in the creative fields I’d put down a lot of it to a connection of creativity with bad mental health being down to a sensitive temperament, as well as the increasingly low pay and high living costs putting pressure on everyone. I’d also add that there are plenty of “girlbosses” working in very corporate fields and saying the exact same stuff on their social media platforms. Men are aware of what they are doing. Also, to stop explaining and justifying as that just gives them opportunity to gaslight and manipulate. Best of all, once you raise your standards you’ll be shocked how many people are willing to meet them, despite the myriad of voices that will try to tell you you’re asking too much. I’ve not had any issues with finding men who will take my to a restaurant on a first date and paying for that date and all subsequent dates.

Yes, this is why doesn’t serve you to date a man less attractive than you. He won’t get any insecurities and think he’s unworthy of you and so should treat you better, he will just see you as an extension of his ego. He will just think he previously undervalued himself. He will “show you off” in his gross stained clothes and not for a moment consider how he looks next to you, because if you’re a kid showing off your shiny Pokémon card to your friends you don’t compare yourself to the card and ne…

This is a gaslighting epidemic, my narc ex would use this against me every time he was at fault. Oh absolutely, lib feminism has hijacked an original feminist principle of “hey, maybe women should be allowed to exist without every part of their body being critiqued at all times” and has turned it into “fat women can be palatable for the male gaze too!” That’s why body positive activists of the girl boss lib fem variety are always hyper feminine and dolled up, always in “sexy” clothing, trying to prove to men that they’re worthy of being objectified too. I honestly find the body positivity movements obsession with including men do be duplicitous and annoying. The point of body positivity for women is for us to be recognised as having value outside of being attractive. Men have ALWAYS been permitted to be fat but powerful, loved, rich, famous. Look at literally almost all male world leaders. Imagine if Boris Johnson was a woman and was fat (which he is by his own account) - that would be so heavily covered in media. I think this idea that body po…

When men have beards like that we know exactly what they’re trying to do. It’s so obvious. It’s so weird but every time I see such a sculpted beard of that length I immediately assume he is an incel for this exact reason. This is the thing - men are told that they won’t age, their sexual value will only go up, they have plenty of time, and they just overestimate their value. Sexual market value of men doesn’t remain the same with the same age groups - it evens out between the genders as people get older, but 37 year olds with receding hairlines will never be hot to girls in their 20s. Men who are aware of this know to invest and hold on to the HVW early on and not fuck about.

No, it comes across as entitled in a way only a spoiled straight man can be who doesn’t believe he owes anyone anything. I find that in gay men the “feminized” qualities tend to come across as being more considerate and conscientious as a human than most average straight men. Also none of my gay friends expect to be romanced, theyre also often as frustrated as many straight women because of this. It’s spoiled straight men who expect this much. Men are allowed to be attractive in ways that aren’t all about their physicality either, look at Benadryl Cucumber with his legions of fans and weird face. Men are allowed to be attractive because they’re funny, charming, successful, kind, anything - for women those are bonuses, but to be attractive she MUST be physically attractive. And in a world that values women almost entirely for their youth and beauty, then it follows for her to have value as a human being in the eyes of the patriarchy, s…

So far everything you mentioned is the very bare minimum. What is he actually doing to make your life better? Is he actually, actively trying to make your life better, in a way where he would happily sacrifice something for himself to benefit you (time, money, anything)? I was in this situation recently. A man who I had built trust with for MONTHS overstepped a boundary sexually - assault, basically, not violently but it was such a clear violation - and I was shocked and upset. I blocked him on everything even though I desperately wanted to send an angry paragraph. This would really put me off too. Would you want someone making you feel guilty every time you buy something new? As someone who collects fine jewellery and has been a vintage collector for many years, i wouldn’t be able to deal with it - especially as my taste and style is something men say they’re specifically attracted to, and also because I have a perfect credit score and good savings! I see this answer so often. I’ve even see “the first round is on me if... the first round is on you”? Which doesn’t even make sense! And I’ve seen other men respond with “it’s always on me!” which is much more appealing frankly. If you’re in your mid 20s then mid 30s will be too old for you! I hope this doesn’t come across as patronising but mid 30s is a whole different ball park and the HV men in that age bracket will be looking for women closer to their own age because they’ll want to settle down.
