Surprise. Surprise surprise surprise! This is so true. It's so easy to get lost in routine when you're together for a long term relationship. It can be something as simple as coming home, walking up to her on a mission, grabbing her with both hands and giving her a firm, movie-esque smooch. Tell her "I was thinking about that all afternoon." I'd bet it knocks her off her feet.

If it were me, I'd put it on the back burner for a while. At least a week. I would not text, call, or initiate any contact for 8 or 9 days. If she gets back to you on her own, then you know where you stand. If she doesn't, wait that amount of time and send a text inviting her out, but also implying that you have plans already. Something like: "I'm going to Suchandsuch bar Friday, you should come... I'm pretty sure you owe me a drink."

Disagree. The conversation continued via text for a while. I don't doubt that she is sick and it certainly seemed like she wanted to go out, knowing it would be just the two of us. Time will tell, I guess.

Well, I'm pretty sure she's sick and not blowing me off. The conversation continued with some jokes, and she said she'd get back to me when she's feeling better. I think I have managed this pretty well, sometimes my neurosis just takes over.

What I see so commonly at house parties, or even small gatherings, is a complete lack of introductions. People stand silently next to each other in a kitchen or living room, a place where you don't have the bar-like deniability of: "well they're strangers, I don't need to talk to them..." You're in someones house, for science's sake! It's so easy to say "Hey, I'm afcintraining... how do you know the host?" Even if YOU don't know the host, or THEY don't know the host, it's such an easy way to sta…

As in; "so what are you looking for in a guy?" Please explain your meaning for supplication. You mean don't compliment, praise, or humble myself?

Spending the night was not possible, I had an early morning commitment that would have turned out horribly. I would rather be dating her.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
