No need to appease me. I said what my observations are, you are free to ignore me.

Yeah, I understand your point, I disagree though. I think the proportions between aware and unaware are more or less constant. But I may be wrong.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. You are right that it was not necessary to word it this way and that younger guys could find it disrespectful. It's true that there are young guys out there who have been through hell at a young age and I had no intention of dismissing their experience or implying any superiority. In my eyes I am still a young guy too. I just remember how clueless I was at the age of 20-21, also not having too easy of a childhood, and I also made some bold proclamations about t…

Thank you. Can you point out which parts are condescending? I have a tendency to be overly critical at times, constructive feedback is welcome.

I feel the same - it would be nice if the idea of marriage and family was true and achievable. The way I see it now is that men, especially when they are young (that includes my younger self) tend to romanticize relationships. When faced with what they really are, things are going sour. Also, as a young man you need to learn what women are like. We know about the good parts and have to learn about the bad parts. That's always painful. I suppose my main point with this post was to say that lettin…

I agree. There's a lot of "look at this stupid entitled bitch on twitter" followed by a discussion about how every woman is like that these days. Like you, I appreciate the pro-self posts much more.

look at all the hoops you have to jump I agree it is a lot of obstacles to consider. I may go through all that anyway for tax reasons at some point, but anyway I agree. I am not sure about marriage. It's a nice idea but too romanticized and there are many examples of how it can go wrong. I haven't decided. As for women, I've met some during my lifetime that were worth the sin so to speak, but I was much younger so nostalgia may be a factor here. We shall see. I have a different perspective now, …

I am just a guy on the internet, so it's true that noone cares (or has to care) what I think. It's really an exchange of opinions between anons. I definitely am not telling anyone that they should listen to me. I voiced my opinion, that's what this place is for, you are free to show me the finger, which you just did :) See, I called it cringe not because I disagree, but because I find it stupid and naive. I listed many more things I disagree with but I did not call them cringe, because they are …

Tattoos are a perfect marker. It's how a person shows to the entire world that they are damaged. Healthy people don't have self-harm tendencies.

Thanks! Regarding going extinct - the population is constantly growing plus life is not linear. You may be born a fool, then you may learn, then get trapped again to finally rediscover the truth. Nietzsche is long dead and we are still here!

No issues. There's plenty of memes posted if that's your preferred format. Edit: or I may have misunderstood your comment ;)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
