Funny you should say that. When my lawyer told me what I’d be paying, I was incredulous. “You mean I get to keep EVERYTHING ELSE!??” I was ecstatic.

Welcome to the club! Did the MSF class 6 months after my divorce and picked up my first bike from the dealership the next weekend. Been riding ever since. Have a blast!

Amen brother. I paid $5,500 in alimony and child support every month for 6 years, and I’m still paying $1,500 a month child support until next June when my youngest graduates from high school. But it’s been the best investment I ever made...an investment in my freedom and happiness.

I think it’s all about taxes. Why does the tax code give you a break if you get married, buy a home, and have children? Because once you’re married, mortgaged, and squirting out crotch excrement, you are locked in. You have no choice but to earn. And then you have no choice but to pay taxes. You’re a slave to the system.

Cbr 1000s are the prettiest sport bikes in my opinion. Classy looking ride. Congrats!

Alan Parsons Project’s record “Eve” is all about the dark hidden side of women. The cover has pictures of beautiful women who, upon closer inspection, are hideously disfigured. “You Lie Down With Dogs” is a personal favorite.

Sweet ride. Be sure to post a pic when you take delivery.

Agree. The urge to “partner up” is too strong for this to be a mass movement. I see it too often in guys who have great single lives and throw it away for what amounts to a shiny object / fast depreciating asset. I think of MGTOW more as a remnant or splinter group that provides a safe haven for those of us who don’t have that overwhelming desire, or have been burned once or twice by the traditional path and now eschew it.

Once you get sober and the drinking obsession is overcome it’s more about continually improving as a human being and helping others to overcome. But no, I’ve not heard that before in any meaningful way.

Can you be more specific? What would you have me correct?

Thanks Tre. I never had a Harley and never understood the concept of buying an overpriced, slow, fat, heavy, poor-handling, unreliable bike just for image...1950s technology, 2020 prices. Most of my bikes were Triumphs...I always liked that tagline “Go Your Own Way.”

I thought so too, until I watched the video. Then I realized they were making fun of men and it pissed me off.

It’s a 1200GS. The 310 is a sweet looking bike. Look at the Royal Enfield Himalayan too. And you can’t go wrong with a used KLR-650 - cheap reliable and a crazy amount of aftermarket parts for cheap on forums and Ebay.

Triumph Speed Triple (not Street Triple, which has a smaller engine.) The ultimate hooligan bike/wheelie machine. OP has great taste.

Been lurking this sub for years and learning plenty from all you wise gents. Finally created a new handle so I can openly participate in the conversation. I mustered the courage to leave my wife in 2007 at age 42 after 17 years of living hell. While I did indeed get divorce raped, my career also blossomed once I was free, and I have lived modestly (other than my motorcycle and vintage stereo obsessions) and have a nice nest egg tucked away. Going my own way has led to a personal renaissance. I t…
