See, this is most in line with how I feel about "trauma" in general. I wholeheartedly believe that the reason so many people are "traumatized" nowadays is because we tell them they should be. I truely believe trauma is in the context of a society. If we treated rape like it wasn't the worst violation anyone could experience, then people would not internalize their trauma.
