0	Why does it seem like boys in highschool perform worse in academics than girls do? No I don't view my boys students as defective girls. -2	Why does it seem like boys in highschool perform worse in academics than girls do? I am a paraprofessional at a high school. I work with children in the regular education setting. Not the special needs. Please understand that these are not small children that I work with, these are people who are almost adults and know better. Here's what I've observed: There have been four fights this year and three threats of violence that were so severe that the cops had to show up to the school. All of the incidences involved boys.
