All this shit show has taught me is what a fkng waste everything really is.Embrace nihilism and understand the “just world” fallacy. Not that it makes anything easier, but it helps me understand there isn’t a why. It just is. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/07/26 11:22 AM
She’s back to threats about divorce - her meningioma isn’t helpingWhen you say document things, what do you mean specifically? Thank you for your response. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/07/26 11:26 AM
She’s back to threats about divorce - her meningioma isn’t helpingI agree. The milestones are medical improvements, but if the effort isn’t there then it doesn’t matter. I guess I will want to know for me and for my daughter that I did everything I could. But I’m only responsible for 1/2. And I’m not perfect, but I am human. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/06/26 09:52 PM
Those of you who initiated a divorce, how did your wife take it?Indeed. What preparations can we do ahead of time? There’s a day coming I might need to initiate as she has threatened 4x and I’m always the one who “has work to do” (which I’ve been doing for 3 years+)… | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/06/26 01:21 AM
She’s back to threats about divorce - her meningioma isn’t helpingNo, I have some milestones we need to work toward or I will need to do something. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/06/26 06:28 PM
She’s back to threats about divorce - her meningioma isn’t helpingYeah, I’ve already made peace with her leaving if that’s what she chooses. I’m just not looking forward to the financial penalty. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/06/26 04:18 PM
She’s back to threats about divorce - her meningioma isn’t helpingWe only learned about the meningioma May 2025 (because I kept telling the care team something was wrong). She had breast cancer surgery, radiation and endocrine therapy in 23. It isn’t in a good place for surgery - up against her brain stem and carotid artery so they could only debulk it and not remove it entirely, but still risky. IMHO she’s probably had it for quite a while and I think it has caused issues for at least 5-ish years. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/06/26 11:14 AM
Advice on marriage issuesMine has a lot of issues around my wife’s health (which is improving) and her mental health (which is … probably not) and being a solo caregiver/emotional everything (she has zero friends due to maybe the mental health?). I talked to a divorce attorney and it is financially ruinous. So…. I stay on my anxiety meds and hope she gets better with her CPAP/apnea. For now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/01/26 11:57 AM
Considering divorce - dread every day with herI talked to a lawyer yesterday. The financial aspects suck. I’d have to either sell the house or buy her out of it and then also all assets basically divide by two. That is horrific financially for us. Basically most of my retirement would go away to buy her out of the house. With current interest rates and costs of houses I couldn’t buy anything if we sold it. Just an awful situation. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/01/26 12:29 PM
Considering divorce - dread every day with herThanks! I do have some recordings of her spiraling and also daily symptom logs since July of this year. I also have a ton of photos showing me alone doing things with my daughter while mom is doing …???…. I also have my therapy notes as well as medical notes from our LPN/acupuncturist. All of this sucks. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/01/26 02:07 PM
