Extremely viable. I mean... I would never ever charge less than $2,000 for a tiny project. I'm talking about a project that I could breeze through in maybe 10 hours tops. Like I said in my post I only really work about 2 hours a day. If you just took on one small project a month (or one larger project every couple of months) you'd be making more than that.

I started out wanting to be a fiction writer. This was the only way I could live the lifestyle of a writer while also making consistent money. Now I wouldn't dream of writing fiction for an actual living. Would suck all the joy out of it. I don't want to worry about writing "marketable books." There are shitloads of inhouse copywriters that mostly earn low incomes (the average London copywriter earns 27k https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Salaries/london-copywriter-salary-SRCH_IL.0,6_IM1035_KO7,17.htm ). how long does it take to go from newbie to replacing a monthly income (say $2000)? Read all those books I mentioned, buy a course or two, study lots of sales letters (look at what other people are doing - click on ads, opt into funnels, look at the top Clickbank funnels). Not really. Plenty of cheap places ro live qith far less crime than rhe States. It's not that cut and dry. Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia are safe...Colombia is not as safe. Cost of living is similar.
