mind sharing what those scenes are.

ok, I found what’s bugging me about the term ‘regular people’ in the comment. the implication is that every regular guy will partner up, which isn’t true. regular guys can go years in between partners if they partner up at all, so I think the premise is flawed.

not trying to put you down. I have boring conversations too sometimes. what I am trying to help you see is that the goal isn’t to get a contact. women will give you their contact just to get rid of you or not cause a scene but that contact info is useless if they’re not interested in getting to know you more. the goal is always to make her actually interested in getting to know you more. remember that and you’ll figure out the adjustments you need to make.

bro, what I am saying is that you stayed on surface level stuff in a way that sounds boring, going by your report at least.

so what does she like about them? how does she feel when she gets immersed in those worlds? is there anything in real life that is as exciting or more exciting than those books?

imo, your conversation sounded pretty boring. I would be surprised if a number would have made a difference unless she was into you from the start or she has no other prospects. you could have asked her more about what she was reading, why she liked it, what her favorite book is, why she found it interesting/exciting, etc. going by your report, you left knowing only surface level stuff about her.

kudos on chatting her up. ask yourself what reason she had to want to keep in touch with you over the 10s of guys that she meets and interacts with.

how do you get that sense of when an opener you havent fielded tested is likely to be good? do you compare it to others you use or is it an intuition?

a buddy of mine got slapped on the face for something trivial that was misunderstood so don’t worry. we all laughed about it. I think you’ll be fine if you give the place a break and avoid that employee. in fact, it’s better in general to not acknowledge people who work there if you do approaches there regularly, and if you have to acknowledge them, it’s better to befriend than use them as pickup practice.

For starters, I highly recommend you look into the concepts of pacing and leading. knowing conceptually how rapport is built was huge for me. That’s the strategy layer. The other layer is the content. What has helped me is getting into the habit of reading a lot of non fiction like travelogues, biographies, psychology, philosophy, etc. it will build a whole database of things you can talk about. Doesn’t have to be books only, documentaries and interesting shows will do too. Also trying to keep u…

in the very old school fora, there was a guy called “Nathan Slizard“, located in France I think, who posted about an acquaintance nicknamed “Grandmaster Flash”. you can find the old Usenet posts if you look around: https://www.skilledseducer.com/threads/debunking-the-role-of-humor-in-seduction-cocky-funny-and-the-grand-master-style.23245/ the main thing about the strategy is that the guy always followed up the dirty joke with a “just kidding”, and was willing to get blown out. a friend tried thi…

Don’t obsess over closing on the first meet. that being said, a lot of it comes down to logistics. You either have to close near where you are, or progressively bring them near where you want to close. For example, ending the night in a bar near your place (or her place). keep her moving. also be flexible in your thinking. What you need is a secluded space where se feels comfortable, not necessarily “home”.

If you had mutual rapport, she’s more likely to text back, but getting them to meet usually needs interest on her part. You can try picking up a thread via text, something she was interes or passionate about. for meeting up, the old school way is that you can tell them what you’re up to x day, where, and that they’re free to join you/meet for coffee/ice cream/whatever in the area. You don’t need to frame it as a date. Also, the x you’re up to should be something you want or need to do anyway. If…

try dropping the “are you single” question, if you’re doing that repeatedly. in general, just let the interaction flow until they volunteer that info. work on not rushing it and having them want to keep the interaction going.

it’s more likely an excuse to extricate themselves. not always but most often.

Why are you able to talk to other strangers without this issue?

it depends on how they say it. their tone of voice will tell you if they’re intrigued or wary.

a friend of mine used to pop a viagra beforehand. swore by it. never tried it myself. there are exercises for learning how to hold your nut longer. look them up.

this kind of tells you that you haven’t built the groundwork well enough. but also, anything can happen between the time you get her number and the time you call her. do you have a field report or two of these interactions that you thought went well?
