That’s the defiantly not the only reason im getting married. I think we just perceive the value of marriage differently. There’s a multitude of other benefits that I like it for that probably make no difference to you. Both my parents and her parents have very good strong marriages and we complement each other very well and divorce is really not an option for me and she’s expressed the same feeling so I’ve done my homework and I don’t take the decision lightly

She’s in the same boat we line up on almost everything. I’ve been with women that are like the kind that you are familiar with and are referencing here. I don’t actually believe in the government being involved in marriage so it’s kinda a moot point but filing out the paper so a governing body recognizes the union really is a minor thing that I don’t really care about. I believe that you can be married in the eyes of God and that’s more substantial than having the state say you are married. Doing both is really a non-issue for me though.

To be fair it’s probably high for women too, I think today’s standard of spousal responsibility’s is pretty low and that’s contributing to the unhappiness which is the cause of the higher divorce rate.
