This is a negotiation. You don't have to accept any less than you are due.

Why do you think they believe her? The point is the balance of risks means that they have to act as if her claims are credible for the purpose of protecting her and ensuring her safety. But they dont have to financial reward her simply for unevidenced claims. Relax and trust your lawyer

Nah. His getting louder is him desperately seeking a reaction. Just smile gently and ignore him some more.

Prioritizing good looks is what got you to this place. I'm an old man now but what I would prioritize in a relationship has changed a lot over the years.

I applaud your patriotism. However, that's exactly what the native population said before they got shoved into their reservations.

Nah. Both sexes are generally horrible because people are generally horrible. But it's a reminder that women are just as bad.

Not necessarily. You might take the time to get your ducks in a row and divorce them when your kids leave home

Appreciate the honesty. I would immediately divorce my wife if she did that, but I suppose she knows that and will do her best to keep me in the dark

And congratulations on that. But why would she need to learn anything? It's working just fine for her. I think you are a slave to sentiment and a stranger to logic on this one. She's not your problem. But these are choices you have to make.

There are a lot of studies. But I will look into these to better understand the subject. I asked an AI a question about studies on lying and gender and this was part of the output. But I think there might be quite a large body of literature to wade through. "A meta-analysis on honesty (Gerlach et al., 2019), based on 380 experiments that recorded gender differences in lying, indicated that men were 4% more deceptive than women. Another meta-analysis on gender differences in lying (Capraro, 2018)…

Filing for divorce is not the same as being at fault. Nor is it always unreasonable. Im not sure what data you are using to prove women "exaggerate the most" or "ruin their kids the most". Maybe, but I would need to look at the data you are citing. I would also need to know the dispersion and the sample sizes before I comment or take a view on data. It would be a kindness if you can cite the data you are using.

Personally I don't think it's helpful to generalize by sex. There are bad husbands and bad wives. Lazy men and lazy women. If you marry a lazy, selfish person, don't be surprised when they take without giving, and feel entitled regardless of circumstances. Its true the law protects wives and that's because the situation before was very unequal. It might have gone the other way now. Personally I suspect no sensible man should ever marry in certain jurisdictions. Certainly not without a prenup or …

Surely one of these is gonna get taxed and the other one isn't? Unless your 401k is a Roth, or your capital gains on the house are very big. I suppose it will depend on how much money you need to withdraw from the 401k per tax year
