Can confirm. "Diets" are bullshit. Eat what you like and just do the math. When that magic caloric number comes up for the day, shut your face and drink water. Btw, did you also have a cut off time for eating? I actually lost 23 pounds over the last few months with this same method but I also restricted my meals to the hours of 12pm - 6pm. After 6, the kitchen is closed. (Intermittent fasting actually and it works wonders for depleting your fat stores aka glycogen)
